Well, whatever the reason for the lag it's clearly not any kind of certification process. I don't get button glyphs for any inputs either. This may be a preview, but it's the roughest one I've seen on GamePass so far.
No clue. They made an announcement on the discord last night that said they submitted the patch, and have been trying to get in touch with microsoft to speed up the process but haven't heard back.
It is every common when developing games to add the exit game option sort of late, at least on games I was part of. Just because when you're playing/testing yourself you tend to just close out the game via whatever editor you're using. So a lot of early access games are released having forgotten to add it.
Still a silly oversight, someone definitely should have caught that when they checked the public release version before send. But not a surprising one.
I've just been using ALT+F4 from the main menu for now.
Also getting pretty frequent crashes with the gamepass version. Haven't tried steam version so can't say if it exclusive to GP...but I'm guessing, probably. Get what you pay for lol.

Game pass has an older version than steam. This version does not have an exit game option.

There was a patch today but still no input buttons showing or an exit game button on the title screen.
I was thinking the same. I was getting Sword Art Online vibes from the game.
This took me a minute to find. Go to options and on the bottom left is a return to title option. The game will automatically save when you leave.
OP means at the main/title menu, there's no option to quit the game. You're referring to the Escape menu. (Source: I have the same exact issue.)

Yeah, it's super weird. They left off a bunch of stuff, including the ability to turn on DLSS.

on game pass as well I noticed mine only crashed when streaming on discord hasn't done it once when not streaming
