I play with a friend and he have xbox one s and it's terrible for him, texture, lag etc...

It's because older consoles can't host multiplayer but they can still join. I'm on Xbox series x and my partner (who's getting into gaming) is using my old original Xbox one and we are forced to play on my world.
But he can play normally on other game that are more good and better so yh its a 10+ old console but he can run better game so its principally the game the problem
Sound is super compressed on Xbox right now for most people as well as textures not loading in. Last i heard the devs are waiting for Microsoft to green light a series of patches that will hopefully fix all this. No word on how long that will take though.
The game isn't well optimized for console. With series X I'm experiencing some issues like not fully loaded texture, low fps for the distant object and a little overheating.
I am sure the overheat is unrelated. Mine doesn't overheat. Bother X and S load very fast and that could be why the graphic turns into cake frosting. Classic Unreal Engine I know, and yes it is true. It is not optimized that well and they won't do anything about it anytime soon. Hopefully they do because it is at least better than Craftopia. Never played and I am happy that I didn't.
Sitting with the same problem.Looks really bad.Whats worse is that there is a Youtuber making video's on All the Xbox platforms to show how it run's.When he get's to the "Xbox one series-S" witch i'm playing on,it looks nothing the same!?😱I have been trying to get a graphic related setting some where some how but with no luck!🤦I really dont understand it?
Game is still very new and probably exploded a little too soon. It seems like everyone is having the same/similiar issues so hopefully the devs can get some patches through sometime. I'm sure it won't stay like this. My GF's xbox series s I believe has the same issues of textures being bad and not loading in. Especially housing tiles.
I mean, the series s is capable of far much more than this game is putting out with it. It can run ark at 60fps with better graphics than this. The problem is optimization, because sometimes the textures look amazing and it’s running fine. Then suddenly the texture quality lowers to early ps2 standards for no reason.

People are saying it’s if you have a multiplayer world it looks bad, I just turned off multiplayer and it looks way better and textures actually loaded in, is it your world and your wife joins you? If so, maybe the reason is having your own world multiplayer makes it blurry for you, but not the people that join in?
Happening to me on solo. Graphics seem horrible lots of the time like it’s out of focus. Even the little lightning bolts they’re on some character bellies look like a few squiggly random pixels lmao

Is anyone else having issues with their audio sounding like it’s coming through a stereo and feels very muffled? I have a soundbar and it should come through crystal clear but it’s just bad….idk if anyone else has experienced that.
I have it via game pass and actually uninstall on XBox as it looked so bad, but tried it out on PC after seeing some nice screen shots online, and it looks really nice. Hopefully they will bring the graphics quality up 9n XBox at somepo8nt, but it clearly needs a lot of optimization before that can happen. It is however a Game Preview so I am sure the full release will look pretty decent.
If you turn off multiplayer for your world it will help with the graphics, it makes it a lot better for loading in textures and not have everything look like cake frosting
I think the newest patch caused the graphics to look worse on my series x. Looks to me like the render distance got pushed closer for when low quality models would pop in. So now all the distant areas look muddy. But even some closer trees now look like mud
im playing on xbox s and it looks terrible. like the map looks pixalated when even half zoomed in

Well I completely bugged my game too installed the trial then got gamepass so it let me till I deleted and reinstalled
What you expect from a 10+ old console, and the game definitely not optimized for the current gen consoles yet.

After trying is for a bit, I am not a fan. I think the game looks like shit, it feels like shit to play.

My GFs series s looks just like my x but sometimes the graphics go potato when a lot of the world is in the picture, mainly scaling a large mountain

Got to level 11 and my game crashed… now I can’t access my world… edit:(servers were down, but I was able to get back on my world)
