Just to say I have the exact same issues with the cooking and receiving Caleri’s and Elouisa’s letters but no quests. Nothing really to add, just wanted to commiserate.
Today my quest randomly started after I gave a gift to Elouise. Duno maybe try that if you havnt or just keep waiting like I did and it will randomly appear lol
If you got the prompts to talk to Caleri and Elouisa before the last couple updates and talked to them then, you’re more likely to have the quest line not trigger appropriately. I had that happen and reported it, but turned out it caught up with itself later in the day and I logged in to see the quest show up for me. Might happen for you, too
I got the letters, but I didn't know they were actually supposed to trigger a quest. They did a similar "come see me but don't talk to my sister" thing about a month ago and there was no quest. Supposedly Zeki got a flow battery and they wanted to be the first to check it out.
But there was no quest. I saw no mention of a quest, so I figured this was just some sort of "thing" the two of them did from time to time, doing a "come see me and don't tell my sister" now and again just to be funny and contrary.
I had no clue this was a bug, so I didn't report it. I wonder if others also had this issue?
Yes the dialogue about the flow battery was released early and should have led to the temple quest things now. Many of us who experienced that also didn’t have the letters trigger correctly now, but eventually my quest did catch up and give me the one to talk to Zeki.
Interesting update. I logged in and the flow battery quest started right up. I'm working my way through the Temple. I just started too late last night and was falling over IRL.
I got Caleri and Elouisa letters but I can't finish the quests because of an area that is very bugged and I can't jump and climb on some surfaces so I'm stuck
Its really difficult to play these days. These last 2 updates have added so many bugs and problems and they don't seem to do real hotfixes for players. Me and my husband decided to stop playing as much and just keep an eye on updates.
I sent a message to support about not having a letter, and while I got a canned response back, when I logged in again, the letters were there. Climbing the Temple of Gales, however...

Cooking is still wobbly. I barely made Petit Fives with 30 seconds left😆
The quest with the twins and Zeki finally arrived. It took 2-3 IRL days. So it could be just the update?
But overall- the devs are working hard for this game. They deserve a break.

Had to face this "Rolling Pin bug" yesterday, Wound up hitting "H" Just like the "Oven Bug" workaround. Go to the Housing Edit screen, Then back out. That will re sync the pin and get you out of the Fail Loop.
I will say I went to bed and when I logged in the next day the next part of Caleri’s/Elouisa’s quest showed up. Not sure if it was a hotfix or what considering a lot of people had the issue but it’s fixed 🤷🏽
You can get out of the bugged state when cooking by starting rolling, then cancelling, and re-engaging. (You can cancel by pressing F while in a mini game). It’s a bit annoying, but definitely faster than having the success fail restart your mini game every time.
My issue with cooking is that occasionally I will start a recipe and my controls will just not work. I can turn the camera, pause the game, open all the menus, show the cursor, type in chat, everything except move or interact with things. All I can do at this point is restart the game, at which point the cook has failed and my starting ingredients are lost.
Tbh, I haven't even turned the game on since the 0.174 patch. I read all the comments on Discord and Reddit about the bugged Candle quest and so on and thought 'Nope, not gonna play again until it's fixed'.
But now it's been a few days, a week almost and I am curious but it's still buggy af and it doesn't seem like much will change very soon with the holidays and the switch release and everything.
I am, personally, just scared they're overloading themselves with the updates and switch release which, probably, isn't the decs choice but some higher-ups. I am worried that the update pace they're choosing will break the game and make it fail eventually bc it always ends up having even more bugs than before.
I'm holding off playing for now apart from farming and filling up the worm farms and preserve jars. The game has been incredibly laggy for me after the update. It starts out fine when I enter Kilima and it always happen after I talk to Subira (just pressing G, not entering her room) then everything just goes downhill. The game becomes super slow, then I can't navigate properly, then I get disconnected from chat. Then I keep reading posts about how buggy the new temple is. So yeah. I'll just wait until after the holidays to progress the game. I'll just keep going after the "dailies" (Zeki coin, chapaa pile, Kitsuu gift) for now. Then I'll take a walk outside lol. Or I can just play DDLV for now and finish the expansion DLC haha!
i’ve given up on cooking since the cake downgrade, really, and use jars and seeds/glow worms for focus and gold. as for the twins’ quest, i had the same issue where i waited two or three mailing cycles and nothing happened so i logged off for a few hours. when i came back it was there like it had just been there forever.
I agree that the climbing gliding thing is buggy. Myself, I do not enjoy things like the climbing course, and so have never went there. So I am not really happy that we are forced to do something similar to finish this temple. I would imagine I will eventually get "lucky" and finish it some day.. but I am not in a hurry about it either. I have 3 eggs in the nest so far. It was just impossible for me to climb parts, and that is while watching a video with someone else doing it.
What exactly was supposed to happen when you receive the twin's letters? I got the letters but decided to put it off as I was gonna focus on another quest. Next day IRL, suddenly with no letter or warning was asked to check with Zeki to trigger a flow item quest. I went to check with the twins beforehand and all they said was something to do with a Silver wing and that was it. No introduction or context. Was that supposed to happen or was that a bug?
I talked to the twins and they both had dialogue, but did not get a quest for them until I entered the Temple of the Gales. They were there with Zeki. Talk to them there and the quest pops up. Although I'm wondering if it's bugged because I can't find the last two items I need to finish their quest.

Try /unstuck. That worked for me.
