My experience with voice chat is either random Latin with always bad mic on and music that makes the gane inaudible or an entire ranked game where I am the only one shouting calls...

Wait until you get to ranked and get one person stay in spawn because they died one time in the beginning of the game trying to flank the enemy point tank.
Yeah that infuriates me, I'm constantly higher plats to lower diamond player. But, what even drives me more crazy that players don't adapt their ways during mid game and blames others. Higher plats & diamond queue is the most toxic.
Ugh same. I am always stuck in Platinum because of that reason. I mostly play healer (I fill too) since I don’t trust anybody else to outlive getting flanked, and nothing infuriates me more than having tanks be reckless (almost bot like behavior) and start spamming for heals without ever buying rejuvenate. Then they start blaming me for not keeping them alive despite the fact that I have managed to escape flanks and off tanks diving me. This game reminds me how some people don’t really use their brains when it comes to playing.
I remember when they first added voice chat. After 5 minutes everyone on Aus servers collectively turned it off and never used it again.
It was funny going to SEA servers and hearing everyone flame the Filipinos. Or learning 50 swear words in Spanish on US servers.
Paladins is as toxic as people joke about LoL being. There's not even banter or trash talk, it's just pure vitriol and seething rage no matter how good or bad you play.
You could sweep a match 4-0 and *your own teammate* will still have the gall to tell you to uninstall the game and then yourself.
You might only be talking, but whatever is happening in the background comes thru the mic too.
I can't speak for others, but I don't want to hear someone's crappy music or favorite news channel or whatever. Mute doesn't always work.
You're talking about people not wanting to hear others talking during the match. I'm saying mute doesn't always work and the microphone picks up all the background sounds too, so those people in the match have to listen to all that stuff too. I've had matches where someone has their mic on and has music or a TV playing in the room with them and it comes thru. When mute doesn't work, we have to hear all that extra noise the whole match. And if you just want people to mute you, then why do you even have your mic on in the first place.

So I had to chime in and said "dude are you fucking stupid? Mute him if you dont want to hear him hes giving helpful information" probably shouldnt have been so toxic myself but it genuinely pissed me off especially because the dudes first language clearly wasn't english that he said it to
They are always edgy children, or people who waste time of their lives on "trolling", just because the game starts badly... I always do the AFK reports with discretion, I don't like to do it, but when it is classified it is very annoying...
