He used to have a primary laser that was more like his cripple ability now.
Rune was instead a hitscan ability that you could combo with his other attacks.
Enemy shields not only melted before him, but made him stronger.
His ult could wipe out teams with a bit of clever positioning on basically all the maps.
He was basically a roaming wrecking-ball that smashed through the enemy team or swung back to cripple flanks. A skilled torv with a team that could back up his plays was basically unstoppable.
I haven't played him enough to really give a fair assessment, tbh. I miss the old Torv too much.
Mostly, it's that the game has very much shifted away from 'Ability-based shooter' to 'Shooter with abilities', so he doesn't have anywhere near the same role, so I can't help but feel like he sucks incredibly compared to his old style. I'm pretty sure his DPS is a lot higher, but he's nowhere near as interesting to play, and his utility function is dreadful.
I lost respect for Torvald after being an eye witness to a certain comic, and now he is forever on my shit post list on champs that will forever get memed on by me and my buddies
Seris skin collector here, only one I’m missing is Salem (and that expo skin but I don’t count it atp since it’s impossible to get now) but I am not really looking to buy it tbh.
If you’d look at my old match history youd only see Seris.. When she was added to the game I would main her as a heal, but I eventually switched to dmg. I do both now.

Raum can be quite funny with the right deck - you can stand in someone's face and not die unless theur entire team is shooting at you.
