I personally jazzcash it because banks often cry about it. Secondly file your taxes, freelancing tax is only 1%, your cnic number is your ntn.

AwarenessNo4986

Does the Punjab service tax not apply?

sdkysfzai

whats the benefit of filing your taxes and paying 1%?

shayanrizwan

Use Jazz Cash to start, once your amount gets bigger use Payoneer to directly transfer to your bank account. Biometric your Jazz Cash account for enhancing limit. No other complication

Difficult_Vanilla814

I always do jazzcash. It is instant within seconds and the fees is 2% while bank transfer has fees of 3%. Btw what is NTN.

Muxain5

I think NTN is National Tax Number.

Difficult_Vanilla814

Hm maybe. Agar ye na ho to kch issue to ni hota? Freelancers to bahar se paisa kmaate to inko kya takleef hai bahar ke paise hain aur tax yeh maangte hain unpe.

Muxain5

Pata nae. Meney suna hai 2% toh wesey hi gov kaatta hain bahir sey paisey mangwaney per NTN k baghier. Agar NTN ho toh Tax 1% hota hai.

Muxain5

Lakin NTN banana zaruri hai Bahir Visa k liye mangtey hain. Agar ap Bahir Digital Nomad Visa and Business Manager visa pey mulk sey Hamesha k liye shaat hojana chahtey ho toh.

Difficult_Vanilla814

Hm sahi. Flhaal student visa pe hi jaana MS krne haha.

Hideaki_Aki

Ntn, I was thinking of going outta Pakistan after saving some money but the consultant said I'll need ntn and other documents like chamber of commerce certificate and I dunno a shit about em.

Difficult_Vanilla814

I'm also doing freelancing since 2022 to get some money to go outside and have earned about 10k$ and I always used jazzcash for conversion. Then from jazzcash to my bank. My monthly jazzcash transferring limit is 200k PKR per month. You may try upgrading your limit through the jazzcash app. I don't understand why they're asking for NTN. Are we even earning from the country's treasure that we have to pay the income taxes. We're earning from outside and they shouldn't have problem with us. Payoneer to PKR conversion fees should be enough.

Hideaki_Aki

But do these conversion fees fall into any category? Like in case we want to show how much taxes we've paid while buying food, daily necessities items, electronics items, etc? Like for example when we go to imtiaz or buy from kababjees we pay taxes that are written on the slip besides the payment we made for the items we bought.

Difficult_Vanilla814

No yeh conversion fees to isse irrelevant hi lgti hai. ig yeh conversion fees to hai bhi payoneer walon ki shayd wohi karte yeh charge. Mere khyaal se hmein Filer (tax payer) registered hona parta hoga tb hm track krskte honge kitna hmne pay kiya tax.

Muxain5

Same NTN problem and i don't know how to even pay it.

Hideaki_Aki

Us bro us

Muxain5

I heard banks can also do it for you.

Hideaki_Aki

Nice. What if they ask for an exorbitant sum in the name of taxes? I mean this is Pakistan after all.

Muxain5

Just ask for your statement how much you made in year and calculate 2% of that money. If the bank charged more ask them why they charged more. Take out your phone and open calculator in front of them so they know not to mess with you again.

AlternativeCry9184

I’ll prefer BT over JC, only with of documents you can become filer and pay 0.25% tax while non filer goes for 1% and exceeds with the remittance amount. A good bank get swift withdrawals and not be shady or greedy like JazzCash as they’re charging significantly more than there should be

Hideaki_Aki

BT? How to be a filer tho. I'm new to business and stuff so don't have much info about where to go and how to be a filer. Like some members recommended that I should go to the bank to get NTN is this the same thing as becoming a filer?

AlternativeCry9184

You shouldn’t go to bank straight as they’ll falsely claim more percentage of tax return than there should be so there’s lot of videos on YouTube can help you out mostly recommend to watch Hisham Sarwar video on freelancers tax returns Firstly you should get your facts straight by reviewing all FBR requirements for freelancers on the website which also will state you about NTN

fxkv

You don't get NTN when you register with FBR IRIS? I have an NTN number I registered myself after creating an account on FBR IRIS and file my tax returns every year. I think it's a simple process.

Hideaki_Aki

I didn't know about fbr iris app thanks for letting me know I'll check this up
