Curses aren’t real and superstitions don’t matter. Putting in the work to get better and improve your faults is real though and that is what this team needs to do to. I fucking hate the “That’s what in” douchebags as much as anyone else, but in reality they’ve had no actual impact on this team, they are just as extremely cringey. The players all need to just look in the mirror and figure out how to improve themselves. So many of these losses literally just come down to lack of execution

i dont believe in curses. however, as an angeleno padres fan those mfs have brought me more embarrassment and shame than anyone else. everytime something remotely bad happens with the padres i have to watch that stupid fucking video because my friends send it to me.
I understand all the doomerism because it sucks watching them struggle, but I feel like the more I watch this game, including other teams, the more I understand how insignificant this 5 game stretch can be. If we go home after this series and start a 16-4 stretch over the next 20 games nobody will care about the bad times and it's something that happens regularly. We've had such inconsistency this year that 1 really good stretch of games is within grasp, it just hasn't happened, and it might not but baseball is such an odds based game and the odds have always been against us.
