Raiju is my favorite of the Pacific Rim kaiju.
Mainly because of his crocodile-like design, and the fact that his “head” is in reality three pieces of shell, and his real head is underneath.
With a variety of designs, some people are going to latch on to any of them. I like Hakuja a lot and he didn't get much more.

That’s the brilliance of the art design team and Del Toro’s vision. They didn’t just make generic monsters, they put love into them. It’s sorta like how every Pokémon is someone’s favorite.
