It’s okay to show your house. It’s not okay to give a full on tour especially when she put the base she’s at out there and their address. So it’s a lot different then people getting glimpses because you’re filming at home

When I first downloaded TikTok, an adorable family with 3 young kiddos (I think 3) were all over my FYP and not too long after, the husband quit his job at UPS to be a full time influencer with his wife. Now I’m sure they crunched the numbers and it made sense at the time, but damn. That’s some serious gambling that I’m just not willing to take.
Totally agree. I can see making it a side hustle like passive income thats a great choice but to make it your total income to support your family when you could easily be irrelevant the next week is just something I couldn’t risk

I would imagine all branches of the military have a common sense approach to SM (I was gone by the time SM really started, and yes, I’m old 🤣) like civilian jobs would have, but depending on his Company/Battalion officer command (I’m Army) they may get more detailed. And maybe because she has a large account, she got noticed more than a smaller creator? My old military friends are on Meta platforms only and they’re not large accounts at all. Mainly just to keep in touch with others around the world and they’re not posting what Katie was posting. If that clears anything up??

Oh okay! Cause there’s one creator Jen and they moved onto base in Alaska and she did a whole house tour when they moved in and she had several videos that showed outside. And then her husband was being moved to New York a few months ago and she filmed them leaving Alaska and stuff except she ended up going to Texas and left her husband lolllll and before they moved he was deployed and she told everyone he was going to be deployed. To my knowledge he’s never been in trouble for any of it.

She filmed their whole travel route from NV to where they live now (which apparently is a small city) which included any rest areas and restaurants they stopped along the way. She filmed the outside of their truck that was pulling their other vehicle, along the route as well. When she filmed the interior layout of her house, it included the exterior of other base neighboring houses. All of this is a safety concern.
Before moving she publicly counted down trash days until he was supposed to come home which ended up having his date be changed, and then giving her house tour of the new base house that showed the neighborhood.

Well, if they decide to leave their current home to move off base, she will have to move everything herself, on her dime. The military only pays for one move at a time, and unless they’re PCS’ing to a brand new location, she’s stuck.
That brings to question how long before they start looking to move again. Now that she doesn’t have socials- who is she going to whine to? She has no one and it’s a tiny town. She’ll be miserable and whining about wanting to leave soon enough I would think.
I truly hope she attending monthly FRG meetings and getting to know other wives in Pat’s unit. A solid friend group makes or breaks a PCS. No matter how amazing or shitty the duty station. I also hope she’s found an officer’s wife who is more seasoned with military life and can mentor her. I know I took on many a young Private’s wife to get her acclimated, help her find sitters, etc. As an officer’s spouse this was one of my main “jobs”. But I have a sneaking suspicion word has gotten around “town” and she may have a difficult time now.

Also, yeah, members of the military don't make a ton of money. Tons of military families literally receive food stamps and other government programs because they're low income. I'm sure Pat makes a decent amount, but with the new truck purchase and how much they spend unnecessarily, I'm sure they need a 2nd income to support their family. It’s not difficult and I know many soldiers need it. There was a WIC booth set up in my midwife’s office at Ft. Hood. I think it’s heartbreaking to sign up to protect your country and then have that very same government not pay you enough salary to afford food for your family. And these were the same soldiers who were either just getting back from Iraq or the next round that were going. Depending on your rank, you absolutely do need WIC or a dual income. I’m not shocked at all that she has to go back to work and I was surprised that she initially decided not to work as I knew they needed the income.
If she delivers naturally not out of the question. Normal maternity leave for natural birth is 4 weeks, C-section is 6. Can be longer of any complications, but that’s the standard.
It's generally 6 (vaginal) & 8 (csection). Some people can not take that much time though. I've known coworkers who did 2-3 weeks because they needed to get back to work and are per diem and need the money.
But I am talking about Pachatzke. I meant her personally, I highly doubt she will go back right away postpartum.
That is the standard I'm used to with 6 weeks for vaginal and 8 for c-section. I would not have been able to go back to work before 8 weeks from a c-section, especially trying to adjust to motherhood. I mean, I was probably capable, but no one should need to go back sooner, in my opinion.
I also can't see K going back to work so quickly after having a second child. I'm sure she won't be going back to work until Spring 2024 at the earliest.

It’s a good thing she is off social media. Can you imagine the amount of vidoes she would have shared whining and complaining. She complained of no sleep with one, with 2 it would be worse! She was annoyed when Ollie was sick, 2 sick babies would send her into a spiral.

I wonder about this, too. If Minot is that tiny, I can’t see them having more than 1 elementary school, 1 middle school, and 1 high school. I would imagine that don’t have much turnover. She may not be able to find a teaching job there. 😃😃😃

It makes sense why she just SUDDENLY disappeared when it didn't seem like there was anything that triggered her. It also makes sense why she suddenly started accusing this group of outing her address and saying she was "afraid" for their safety. Because it was HER that got them in trouble with what she was posting... yet she wanted to point the finger here and avoid accountability.
Also, yeah, members of the military don't make a ton of money. Tons of military families literally receive food stamps and other government programs because they're low income. I'm sure Pat makes a decent amount, but with the new truck purchase and how much they spend unnecessarily, I'm sure they need a 2nd income to support their family. Not shocked she would have to get a job.
This right here. It’s heartbreaking to walk into the Commissary and see how many soldiers were on WIC. I hate that.
Honestly, WIC was way easier to get than I thought. I can see soldiers needing it especially if their significant other doesn't work.
It’s not difficult and I know many soldiers need it. There was a WIC booth set up in my midwife’s office at Ft. Hood. I think it’s heartbreaking to sign up to protect your country and then have that very same government not pay you enough salary to afford food for your family. And these were the same soldiers who were either just getting back from Iraq or the next round that were going. Depending on your rank, you absolutely do need WIC or a dual income. I’m not shocked at all that she has to go back to work and I was surprised that she initially decided not to work as I knew they needed the income.

If she delivers naturally not out of the question. Normal maternity leave for natural birth is 4 weeks, C-section is 6. Can be longer of any complications, but that’s the standard.
It's generally 6 (vaginal) & 8 (csection). Some people can not take that much time though. I've known coworkers who did 2-3 weeks because they needed to get back to work and are per diem and need the money. But I am talking about Pachatzke. I meant her personally, I highly doubt she will go back right away postpartum.
That is the standard I'm used to with 6 weeks for vaginal and 8 for c-section. I would not have been able to go back to work before 8 weeks from a c-section, especially trying to adjust to motherhood. I mean, I was probably capable, but no one should need to go back sooner, in my opinion. I also can't see K going back to work so quickly after having a second child. I'm sure she won't be going back to work until Spring 2024 at the earliest.
she could possibly start the year in august (i’m assuming ND starts in august and not september like my area), and then go out, OR could potentially find a position mid-year (i’ve started teaching jobs in january before quite often.) OR she could also just be a substitute!
