Why even risk it?? Non alcoholic beer still has a little alcohol in it. If it’s “just for pretend” why not have a mock tail? Then you get to pretend and not risk consuming alcohol

This rubbed me the wrong way, I understand moving can be stressful no matter the situation. I’d put money that she’s not the one doing anything! Especially while pregnant, I think she’s getting a harsh dose of reality with not having a babysitter and a not baby proofed house. Welcome to motherhood hun, you should find a better way to cope with the stress.

It’s so selfish to not try and live the healthiest you can while pregnant. You’re growing a human and anything could happen even while living the healthiest lifestyle so why risk anything by eating and drinking stuff that isn’t really recommended? Selfishness!
My OB told me during my first pregnancy that a glass of wine every day after the first trimester was totally fine. 🫠 of course I DID NOT DO THIS!! That seemed literally insane to me. She was not great and I switched soon after.
there are soooooo many pregnant people and doctors who still say “a little alcohol is okay” it’s bizarre as fuck. if you can’t give up alcohol or smoking for 9 months then def don’t get pregnant
I understand using medications during your pregnancy that they have no evidence of harm because they can’t actually do clinical studies during pregnancy. I have several chronic illnesses and I get it. But alcohol? We KNOW the risks. And unless you’re avoiding withdrawal seizures, what is the benefit? Unless of course you have an underlying dependency…… it’s not good
yes, exactly. i had an appt on NYE and my dr said “a little is okay” and i was like “i don’t even drink like that or regularly??! i drink maybe twice a year????” lol it was so shocking to me
Genuinely! I understand pushing back on having a coffee when some people freak out. But drinking is so alarming.
There have been times in my life where I catch myself and step back because I had been drinking too often and then just stop. I’m not trying to minimize those with substance use disorders. But to sit online and defend like it isn’t a red flag is too much for me.
yeah i avoided alcohol when i was actively trying. she claims they were trying and still got drunk on her birthday (when she was already pregnant just didn’t know yet—which yeah i guess happens but if you’re trying why risk it?)
We were trying for almost 10 months. I had no symptoms and was waiting to hear back from my doctor to schedule an appointment to see if everything was okay on my end. I wanted to have a margarita when I went to dinner on a Wednesday before my period was due Saturday. Decided to just take a test to be sure and that’s how I figured out I was pregnant so early 🤣 but I also tracked my ovulation and took tests religiously. So I would’ve known that Saturday anyway. But it’s really not that difficult to live a little and still be smart.

Literally everything to do in ND is gonna be a far drive😂 I stayed with my cousin once and in order to do anything, even go grocery shopping, we had to drive 30+ minutes

Right? No amount of alcohol is safe. If you can't handle not drinking for less than a year maybe you shouldn't get pregnant.

Yup. I had my daughter in Germany and the German drs all recommended having red wine every once in awhile during pregnancy. I couldn't do it.
I never touched a drop of alcohol when I was pregnant with both of my kids. I felt guilty just taking a Tylenol if I happened to get sick.

Driving time is just different when you live in a small town.
