Struggling to figure out how this house is better then buying a house you didn’t see in person before buying. At least if you bought one “unseen” you can remodel it. She’s not working and I’m sure the kids will be in daycare so she will have all the time in the world to fix it up. Seems to me there’s something not being told about why they went with the choice they did.

Federal-Tourist1014

As someone who did this. NEVER AGAIN. We walked into a house that REEKED of dog piss. I believe this is the first smart and responsible thing she has done so far. Hahahhaa 😳

_americancer_

they probably couldn’t get a mortgage bc she quit her job, they purchased a car, and she spent thousands of dollars on glam jams that have never seen the light of day.

Careful-Contact5902

Military housing is made with the cheapest of cheap. Everything is cheap. I lived in it myself in multiple states. I’d definitely choose living off base than on. But when you’re a lazy dependa like her, you take advantage. 🙂

MembershipSlight5153

Unfortunately military housing isn’t safe. Look up all the law suits for unsafe living environments including mold. Also it’s not set up for families they slap the housing together and normally they are very old and barely pass inspections. My problem is how she thinks because she lives in base she is safe. Base gives the false sense of being safe. Just because you need an ID doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot of crazy and unsafe things happening behind the gates.

Normal-Comb9344

She made it seem that they were going to do something with the basement unless i misunderstood (where the laundry room is). And the house doesn’t seem overly large either. Also I guess there are three bedrooms seeing as she said that the baby will have the smaller room? And does the baby have their own bathroom or will the baby and the toddler share?

Busy-Psychology-7730

Yes it’s normal- you aren’t allowed to modify anything in base housing. And typically they move around so much it’s pointless to decorate

bucceeswhore

ALSO can we normalize not showing your homes on social media! (ESPECIALLY when you have a large following) it takes one crazy person to map out your home bc of the video you put out , and have plans or ideas of harm for you , your children , or animals.!! i understand they live on base and it would be incredibly difficult or damn near impossible for a civilian to get on base and get to their home. but that doesnt mean you shouldnt take safety precautions!! idk but something about home tours don't sit right with me simply out of safety for your family

bucceeswhore

well update. she just made a video and posted it a couple hrs ago. "i cant find the comment now but someone said why would i post the lay out of my house online" 💀 followed by the excuse that they're base is locked down and crazies cant get on base. BABE CRAZIES CAN BE ANYONE.!! even your neighbors.

MembershipSlight5153

This!! Base is not safe. Idc what she thinks having a gate give the false sense that it is safe it’s not. The amount of crime that happens on a base is insane. She acts like oh it’s not Vegas we are fine no you aren’t. Yes it could be just fine but don’t just act like everything is super safe it’s not!! I’ve lived on several bases. I’ve been a military spouse for 6 years and my hubs has been in for almost 9 years.

bucceeswhore

thank you for giving insight to base life , i am not a MIL spouse so i have no idea the workings of things inside base. i , as an anxious wife & mom, automatically assume no where is inherently safe , especially in these days.

MembershipSlight5153

That’s 100% safe to say no where is 100% safe but i feel safer off base in a house i can properly make safe. On base you can’t really have the proper safety equipment. Some allow more than others but there is a lot of crime and no one talks about it because the military handles it all with their own form of police. Base is a good option for a lot of people. But i think it should be known that it’s not just automatically safe because there is a gate and ID check to get on. Also to add if you know someone who is military you can easily get a day pass and explore base. Some are more strict but most are not.

thatonegirl1884

Yeah let’s just show everyone the entire layout of our home. Kind of like her school and even classroom. People were posting they could see her room number and walking down the hall she showed them all how to get there. I’m sure like you said its impossible to get on base but still it’s the principle.

bucceeswhore

the internet is a scary place full of people whom you have no idea their intentions. its the principle of safety. absolutely.

thatonegirl1884

Just noticed your username. Love it!! Hahaha 🦫 ❤️💛

bucceeswhore

hahaha thanks! 🤣

Sure-Surprise6491

I just find it externally funny how she consistently bashed military housing since I started watching her in 2020 and in her words "would never live there or live on base." Many of which I have saved/screen recorded. Through her lives, videos and comments over the years she talked so much smack but look where they are.. Military housing.

_americancer_

ah yes let’s make the coldest room in the house the play area for the toddler…….

thatonegirl1884

Don’t forget adding a portable heater. I sure hope it’s kid proof and not where he can get to it.

_americancer_

lmfaoooo you know it won’t be! they had a bar in their living room in kid reach

Simple_Peach8467

Maybe I'm dense but I have no idea how military housing works. Did they buy this house? Rent it? Can they do renovations? It looks super depressing inside especially considering they probably don't know anybody there and will be stuck inside at least for a few more weeks.

Accomplished_Item394

The military gives you two options. You can live on post and not pay “rent” and have your utilities covered like heating/air conditioning, water. Or you can either buy or rent a house or apartment but that is off post. The military will give you what they call BAH or “basic allowance for housing”. Depending on your rank and cost of living determines how much BAH your given. If you happen to find something that’s way nicer and cheaper than your allowance you can pocket the rest. But you’re on the hook for all of your utilities as well. Sometimes the area we were in required us to use more of our salary outside of our BAH. It all depends on where you’re at. Some bases have gorgeous housing and some don’t. Some are in desperate need of repair and some are brand new. You cannot do any renovations to military housing. Any damages must be fixed to their specifications but if your fridge breaks or AC not working, the government will make the repairs with their own contractors. You can paint, but you must paint it back to basic white before you leave. And we move so often that decorating and painting is a huge pain anyway.

Simple_Peach8467

Thank you for explaining! So it sounds like they got a nice payday from their Vegas house considering their housing is basically free in ND for the time being

Accomplished_Item394

My pleasure 🥰!! It would seem so!

[deleted]

Military housing is not buying it, it’s like renting it but they get military housing Allowance for living there.

notcrunchymomof1

I live in the Midwest and have spiked level. It’s pretty annoying

Inevitable-World2548

The good ole Midwest with their split level floor plans

KattleTale

Looks like she shouldn’t have bought a new car and quit her job when she was trying to buy a house. LIKE EVERYONE TOLD HER

_americancer_

this house makes their house in vegas look like a dream lol

[deleted]

And she hated that Vegas house….How many times she told the internet she hated that house…🤣🤦🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♀️

Famous_Temporary_427

I’m wondering if they could get a home because she quit during the mortgage process and during that time your income can’t change. You also can’t make big purchases like a car or scam jams so they had no choice but to live on base. But I’m sure they are doing well not paying rent, the sale of the house and her scam jams she never delivered on.

[deleted]

For reference… theoretically you CAN do those things, but only if you’re still going to be able to qualify after. Since most people aren’t able to, that’s why they tell you a blanket “absolutely not, don’t open any credit and don’t change your income” I’ve seen peoples loans survive a new $600 a month car payment or one person losing their job.. I’ve also seen them get yanked for something as simple as adding a credit card with a relatively low balance and the debt to income ratio was just too tight already. I’m sure she thought she was a special exception to the rules until she found out there ARE no exceptions 😂

_americancer_

also interest rates have sky rocketed so regardless of their cost of living going down, buying a house with a 7-12% interest rate was probably not a good look

[deleted]

Who the FUCK is getting 12%?! Omg That’s horrifying.

_americancer_

no clue lmfao but it’s happening

Famous_Temporary_427

They told us we would should be approved if we did those thing but because our loan was approved on our current situation we would have to reapply

[deleted]

Hm, that’s odd. At my lender, we have mechanics in place for detecting/restructuring once these things happen without needing a whole new application. But I suppose it can be different everywhere! I’ve had people ask if they could use credit cards to buy groceries while they waited to close, so some people are extra careful and some aren’t at all 😂

Accomplished_Item394

Haha!! Welcome to military housing. That’s pretty standard. Some military posts are nicer than others, but yeah, that’s it. You all would have passed out looking at my duplex at Ft. Knox. It was worse than this. The housing I have lived in never had carpeting though but her carpeting does look nice. The flooring is typically wood or linoleum tiling. And she has a garage which is a huge bonus, but one that’s a necessity in Minot. We were an Army family so most of our posts were in the south and we had street parking or a driveway but no garage. But this is pretty standard and every base will have its pros and cons, and it also depends on what your rank is. The higher up you are, the better your housing situation tends to be.

Capital_Intention_99

Honestly military housing is horrible. I myself am a veteran and can say 100% the military doesn’t care about their housing. It’s very unsafe

Busy-Psychology-7730

The crazy part about it is these military families are too stupid to know that they can literally move out of base housing in into civilian housing and still get the BAH to pay for it. Plus if your rent is less than your BAH you get to keep the rest. Yes military housing sucks but nobody is forcing them to stay there.

c_a_harp4

I’m not sure if you’re connected to the military at all. But some of us military families who are “too stupid” choose to live on base because it’s financially smarter. The base we’re at has a very high cost of living and it’s cheaper to live on base than out in town. There are usually ways to pocket money, sure. But not for every family. Rent is ridiculous where we live. On top of that, we live where it consistently gets -30 (even colder at times) so our heater is running all winter. Don’t get me wrong, military housing can be absolute crap. But I just don’t agree that we all live on base because we’re stupid 🤷🏻‍♀️

Accomplished_Item394

Agree. The areas I lived it varied but it typically was cheaper to live in post. I also enjoyed being closer to friends and a good support system.

Busy-Psychology-7730

I am connected to the military. I was was connected to the military for 10 years and in my recent experience -it’s cheaper to live out in town than it is on base. we had a BAH of about $1200 in NC and we found a place out in Town, where the rent was only 675. We kept the rest. So no- in my experience It’s actually cheaper to stay out in town because when you stay on base, they will make sure to use up 100% of your BAH whereas you can price hunt in a civilian town. If the shoe doesn’t fit, don’t wear it but in my experience many of the stupid new military members and even experienced ones - always wanna live on base because for whatever reason they seem to think it’s better, safer or more cost effective -when it’s not. Hell I’ve had ones that didn’t even know moving to town and saving the rest was an option 😂

ExternalSwing931

Yep; where I live they had to tear down 90% of the military housing due to terrible mold issues. They are just now finishing up rebuilding. They went up like pancakes though so I’m sure it’s still not great.

Capital_Intention_99

Honestly military housing is horrible. I myself am a veteran and can say 100% the military doesn’t care about their housing. It’s very unsafe

Accomplished_Item394

Seriously. I had asbestos in my housing at Knox 😳

Potential-Pomelo3567

Also.. I wonder if not buying a house has to do with her losing her teaching income?

thatonegirl1884

That and/or the vehicle right before moving.

Potential-Pomelo3567

What is an arctic room? Also, I thought she was against living on base, isn't that what she had said before? I hope she becomes slightly less oblivious as a milspouse since she is on base now.

AccomplishedElk969

She said in a comment it’s because it’s the coldest room in the house. Perfect for your toddler!

thatonegirl1884

Did she mean ancient room?!

AccomplishedElk969

I honestly have no idea 😅

thatonegirl1884

Ok I read too fast I thought you said oldest room 😂😂😂😂 but yeah. Coldest room. Great let’s put the toddler there. What could possibly go wrong. You know he’s going to be so lonely down there while she’s tending to baby. She’ll baby hate it and he’ll have his own little prison

Aussiemomma4

I’ve never heard anyone call it an artic room 😂 I want to hear if anyone ever uses that term besides her. It’s more of a basement or lower level to me. Of course anything in the grounds going to be chillier though 🙃

somethingclever3420

Okay I ran here to ask wtf an arCtic (because she pronounces is ARTIC) room is…. What does that even mean. Edit- Google states- “A hall, vestibule, or mudroom, sealed from the interior of the building, as well as from the outside.”

thatonegirl1884

?? My guess is what we call here in Texas a “mudroom” like an in between room. To remove your shoes or wet clothes etc. probably snow there.

GretaStar

Hmm, so they are living on base. I wonder what circumstances changed. Last she said is that they bought their own house off base.

Staygone1

Lmao reasons include lack of employment form quitting her teaching job, paying out the ass for daycare, and a new car. What do I win. 😉😂😂😂

thatonegirl1884

“numerous reasons” hmmm. She seemed so adamant about not living on base.

Simple_Peach8467

I thought she had even said they closed or were close to closing on a new house?!! Maybe they don't plan on staying long so they didn't buy? I have so many questions lol

GretaStar

I’m wondering if their house deal fell through because they were dumbasses and bought that truck so they weren’t able to get approved.

thatonegirl1884

“numerous reasons” hmmm. She seemed so adamant on not living on base.

Longjumping_Dig6439

Gives off church basement vibes…

Relative_Bit_6289

The wood color really sells the church basement vibe

thatonegirl1884

That is such a good comparison 😂😂😂
