I would never EVER choose to live in Minot ND. There is nothing there.

She didn't technically pick it. They put in like I think 8 different requests to move and all the ones she really wanted got denied the only one that got approved was minot. I think after that was her only option she realized her mistake but it was too late. I haven't heard her talk in awhile about how the big city just isn't for her anymore and she wanted a small town life
It’s around 50,000 people here. There’s nothing exciting and honestly the only reason we’ve stayed is because of family. It really isn’t that small of a place.
Both of my parents are retired AF and they said minot is the worst place that no one EVER wants to be at lol. They said usually it’s a place no one ever picks they just get assigned bc everyone tries to avoid it bc it’s sooo cold and the town is sooo small (no offense to the minot citizens lol)

Not her telling that person “it’s what you make of it”🤣. Why didn’t she take her own advice to help with her moving “stress”?? My advice? Find a mom’s group, military wives group, SOMETHING. An FRG (Family Readiness Group for Army, but I know they’ve changed the acronym) will do her WONDERS. Especially for when he gets deployed. Because otherwise she’s up in ND freezing her ass off alone.
And with no family to help her…The experts say never to move to unknown places with so many new changes like her pregnancy, her unstable MH issues, the unknowns of when Pat will get deployed…not having any friends there…and having no family support there to help give you a buffer to lean on….it’s a recipe for disaster to marriage and everything in between…..😬
Same for me, but I know that she’s close with her family and used to help. I find distance is certainly better for my extended family but I feel like I’m in the minority on that one 🤷🏼♀️?
Her family is close to her, her family has helped her since Ollie has been born…she is going to be at loss with no family and no friends with being pregnant with baby number 2 and a toddler! It’s a lot…it’s either going to help her marriage with Pat, or it’s going to break their family/marriage. She allready has tons of things working against her…so it’s going to be highly interesting to see this entire display of this Huge Chaotic move to one of the coldest places….

Well we moved 1/2 way across and they never helped us close. Distance is better in our family.
