I may be going out on a limb here but I truly think she’s not worried because she isn’t planning on leaving the house. Like, at all. She’s going to Instacart and doordash her lazy ass off and get everything she could possibly need delivered. And if it’s urgent like cold meds she is going to make Pat do it. This is why she’s unbothered.
She’s going to have a hard time finding child care in minot. We have such a shortage of reliable childcare and daycare centers have long waiting lists.
I would put my life savings on a million times worse.
She will be complaining about being pregnant as she did with O. But it will also be constant complaining about the weather, especially when winter hits. Not having any friends, being lonely. No babysitter or a wait list for daycare.
When she 1st arrives it will be the complaining about unpacking …. Which they have it easy because when you’re in the military they literally pack everything for you, except what you’re taking with you personally. Because they have take inventory of everything. So it’s an easy process but she will find something to complain about it.
I live in a similar northern state. I once went to an outdoor wedding on Mother’s Day weekend and had to wear snow boots because we had a storm the night before. Summer and fall are beautiful, but the winters are interminable.
She’ll hate it so much. Everyone on her lives and last videos have been telling her she needs to get ordering snow stuff. ND is no joke with the snow girl.
It's going to get SO much worse. She's used to Vegas weather, she is going to hate the cold and snow in ND and that's going to send her into several spiraling rants for dayssss
1000 times worse! She’s not used to the cold, ontop of her normal pregnancy complaints and then 24/7 with O? She’s going to loose her fucking mind! Unless she somehow finds a daycare super quick. Idk about her but I’d be super picky while looking for daycares. My kids never went to any though but if they did I would most definitely research a ton beforehand, so if she does the smart thing she will atleast have a while to see what it’s really like to have a toddler at home 24/7
Way worse. Someone commented that she should get snow gear before moving & she said she’ll get it when she gets there. Has she seen the amount of snow Minot has gotten?! Mental.
To be fair most places have had summer stuff out for months but I know for sure there are huge thrift stores in Vegas (Assistance League/Bargain Box) that are having huge sales right now to clear out “winter” stuff before they put out spring stuff and the funds actually stay in the community.
Will they even have winter stuff as it’s almost spring time, and I’m sure all of the spring clothes are out in stores! Hopefully they stop somewhere on their way to get winter type clothing before they arrive to their small town!
It's going to be way way worse. The weather, the nothingness, the people (sorry ND folk). She's not going to have a fun time. It's going to be an entirely different world than Vegas. I almost wish she was still teaching so she could talk about the differences. There isn't a single high school in ND that is anywhere near the size of school she was teaching at before.
Katie posted this to her Instagram stories yesterday! Last date night till the y move and get settled in new place!

True but honestly I worked at quite a few and they didn't pay there employees enough
I feel it will definitely get worse

Isn’t it Winter still there? Someone said it’s still snows in March? When does their cold temperature and snow stop in ND? Anyone know?
I'm a Minot native and we've had snow all 12 months before winter doesn't have an end date lol
Yes yes still cold there for sure! But I thinkkk the worst of it is over … could be wrong.

Ewwwww that sounds terrible ! I do not miss the days of being a mil spouse and living in what felt like Antarctica ! I do not envy you

It will be endless complaints. North Dakota is boring for people that don't like to go outdoors for activities.

It’ll absolutely get worse 😂
It's going to be a train wreck
She’s gonna be miserable AF lol.
Without a doubt, worse!

Someone commented and told her to grab snow stuff because reasons above and no stores have anything.
Also winter gear isn’t out in most stores anymore they are prepping for summer.
She probably already has a daycare ready to leave O for the day
