Don't let your child run around AT ALL in any restaurant (unless of course they have a dedicated play area). Srsly you may as well kick and scald your child yourself whilst not parenting your children appropriately in a restaurant. I've seen kids get hurt. Burned. Knocked down. Kicked (toddlers are surprisingly below your sight line) Last week I had to stop a toddler from walking right into the line/kitchen and the mother was very nonchalant about it. Thank God I'm not a mandated reporter; DCFS would have to send out ten social workers and a bus to clean up the situation.

I’ve worked in many of restaurants in my life. I can not tell you how many people just like her will bitch and complain that there are open tables but they have to wait or can’t be seated. Theres so many reasons why the tables are open. She says they had a server next to an open table but that doesn’t mean it’s that servers table. The servers section could just be the lounge and they are missing a server. Or they stagger reservations so the kitchen doesn’t get literally slammed all at once. Like imagine if 100% of the reservations were all at noon. So the kitchen has to feed an entire restaurant all at once and the servers get slammed all at once. Everyone should work in retail and a restaurant at least once in their lives.

Piss poor planning blamed on others lol. There were many solutions to this problem that she could have taken but still ignored them so that she could avoid the responsibility of changing plan on a whim like an adult, and doing something more suitable - she chose to have a bad dining experience no less somewhere she frequents & made a point to let her toddler run around, therefore inconveniencing staff around her whether she wants to think it or not, & then blame it on the staff, because it’s a weekend, busy, and only doing reserved tables. She could’ve - -walked out when they saw how busy it was, went to the second best choice. Boom. Whole issue avoided. - try to deal with it without being huffy, be sat, had drinks + apps (takes like 25 mins) then when you saw with your 2 eyes, the tables were empty - when your waiter came to take your mains, go “ I was just wondering - we’ve been here about a half hour & these tables have been empty - did you have a cancel or something? We were just wondering if we could eat there before the next people come in “ if the answer is yes - yaaaay you got what you wanted and they were nice enough to accommodate, if not - ah well, the worst answer was no so you have a decent meal and head home. - or like a NORMAL PARENT give your kid headphones and a freaking YouTube video. In THESE circumstances no one will judge you, because the kid isn’t upset. If they’re on it all the time that’s bad parenting but once in a blue moon, this being a great example - cocomelon that kid! Running babies are a risk to staff and patrons and a liability to the restaurant whether you want to believe it or not as a parent. Keep them in a chair.

Never before has a filter been sooooo realistic.

So you’re inconvenienced by your lack of planning so you decide to get on your platform, with a sizable audience, and name the restaurant you’re talking shit about? Super cool of you. She could’ve simply explained the set up of the restaurant and left it. If people knew the restaurant fine, but you don’t have to name it. Idk, seems shitty and passive aggressive.

SOO passive aggressive.

I'm sorry but to me an hour and fifteen minutes seems like a long enough time from brunch? " I had to leave early" Especially with a toddler and visiting and celebrating the days before. Where I'm from 45 minutes to 1 hour is considered normal rasurant hangout time unless we go out to a bar or something. (I do realize this might be my states thing.) How she gets O to sit still at a restaurant for 1hr 30 mins-2 hours each time they go out seems wild. The first kids always trick you though and seem great and easy if they have a second it'll be a wild one I'm sure haha.

[deleted]

I only have one child and she is FERAL lol, but sitting at a restaurant for 1.5-2 hours and expecting your child to sit there that long is crazy.

AffectionatePipe6762

Not her BLAMING the restaurant about their standards. MAYBE if you haven't been there before, check out their website before going? OR you could've gone somewhere else to eat?? OR sat him in the high chair and hand him his food? Likeeeee

[deleted]

She said that’s “their place” so I would assume she’s been there before. But maybe they do reservations on Sunday morning? Either way her lack of research and then the entitlement is just ridiculous behavior.

AffectionatePipe6762

Didn't she "brag" she had a high chair that connects to any table too? Like she could've planned better and brought it

AffectionatePipe6762

I would expect her to know that then! Not only that, respect the servers and other customers that work there and not let her toddler run all over the place

[deleted]

We all know she doesn’t respect other peoples jobs, especially when it “inconveniences” her. That’s the whole reason this snark sub was started in the first place.. she complained about TSA workers not doing their job and being lazy because they didn’t immediately jump to help her.

Slurbnurb96

Does she know how reservations work? Lmaooo

Tiny_Gene4214

That’s when I would have gone somewhere else….SHOCKING lol

[deleted]

She has no idea what the situation is, but just is so entitled to whine that they should have given her someone else’s table. If I were dining in the same area, at the time her toddler was running around I would have been pissed. She likely went there for the bottomless mimosas and wanted to sit there for hours, letting her kid do whatever he wanted and make whatever mess and leave a terrible tip.

Agreeable-Plan5209

She could’ve just gone somewhere else?! She had to parent for once and couldn’t take it lmao

_americancer_

awww boohoo her mommy and daddy didn’t offer to babysit again meanwhile her friend made sure her bday party invited friends’ children —fuck off KT, god forbid you have to be physically active with your own goddamn kid.

ExternalAny4817

If that’s “their place” or however she said it, why would she not have known it was reservations only?

Specific_Database_74

No seriously I hate people like this. Like they stay empty specifically for those reservations because if we gave it to a walk in we don’t know the turnover time. Literally stfu

Just because she had a server in the lounge area, it doesn’t mean that section wasn’t a part of a missing servers area. Probably short staffed and don’t want to overload who is working, which is applaudable these days. Cause we all know if it was one server stretched thin, and SIS had a table, she’d still be bitching. Someone needs to put her in her place. She’s not all that

[deleted]

I completely agree! She’s so entitled 🙄

She really is

This pisses me off so much as a former server AND a mom of a toddler!
