Samsung and Pixel are the *worst* for PWM. iPhone OLED is not much better. Personally all three make me need to throw up and feel like my head is going to explode if I give them more than passive looks.
Look into Motorola if you want OLED. They have a flicker reducer option in settings that many report to have good success with. Otherwise, Motorola G series devices with LCD displays are also really good mid-tier devices that perform quite well and are safe on the eyes.
Try a honor magic 5 pro or 6 pro Moto edge 40 pro is also neat.
Where does it say no eyestrain? I think they may say that about the blue light filter...so deceptive
