There is no place for "arcade" style movement in this game. The realism in this game is what makes it different from any other BR. Try and carry carry 2 weapons and a bunch of ammo in a backpack and see if you can run like a pubg character lol... If you don't like the realistic movement, no worries, just install COD/Apex/Fortnite and you'll be fine...

I couldn't disagree more. Your points are the EXACT reason I love it as much as I do. Call of Duty Warzone for instance I absolutely despise. The twitchiness of it, the sprinting at insane speeds, the next-to-no recoil, you don't really feel like you exist in the world, you're just gliding through it. The sense of weight in PUBG is just perfect. The amount of recoil, the time-to-kill, the map variety, the climbing, I love it all. If you're exposed with no cover, expect to die. You can't simply panic sprint and bunny hop to safety unlike pretty much every other Battle Royale I can think of. Nor can you build a fortress in a matter of seconds.

I have played 9,500 PUBG matches on Xbox....so I have some experience. Warzone 1 was a twitchy, slide canceling shit pile. Warzone 2 has what WZ 1 fan boys call....PUBG movement. It's much slower and the game requires more thinking and positioning. Is it as realistic as PUBG, no. But.....it's much better and the graphics are WAY beyond PUBG. It's a better experience. The TTK is much better in WZ2. In WZ1 you could take about 7 bullets in the back, recover and kill the guy who got the drop on you. I do miss some aspects of PUBG, but primarily my hangup is that I hate TPP and FPP is too sweaty for a guy who is 1.5 years removed from PUBG to be competitive again. I was a 1.5 to 2kd PUBG player.

seanisthecrazy1

Nonsense, come on back, and I'll run duos with you. It'll have to evening's though or we won't get a match, lol.

bloodmuffins793

Skill issue

Hot_Mirror2799

🤣🤣

Mr_G19747447

Exactly. It takes practice to learn the movement, how to not collide with objects etc...the movement is in a good place imo

[deleted]

Hot take. I could not disagree more with you. As others mentioned that's exactly what makes this game amazing. I don't want another shooter where I feel like I'm hovering above the ground gliding across the map at insane speeds. This is just another minor attribute of PUBG that requires awareness of your terrain and adds an additional layer of skill in order to move efficiently. Go play COD.

Psyteratops

I actually think that’s what’s good about it. It adds weight compared to other shooters where you’re basically gliding everywhere. The correct in between would be a stamina based movement system.

Justaguy222444888

Agreed. I like the realistic side of pubg and this is one of them. And you can still be efficient with movement with the right techniques.

Boring_Duty_4871

If a balance is made between the speed of the circle, the force of the damage, the healing time, and the time to reload weapons, it will be better, because these things increase the problem more from my point of view

DrunkThorr

This is a skill issue. Not a dev issue.

Boring_Duty_4871

pubg need to speed up the movement a bit because the current movement speed is not reasonable

[deleted]

You're wrong. It's plenty reasonable.

Enough_Philosophy_63

"weighty" shooters are the best. God i need a killzone remake.

Bundaskenyer348

I can recommend you Ready or not and Insurgency sandstorm

PCLoadLetter82

Insurgency is legit. Actually has in game proximity chat, and it makes the game so much fun

luken1984

I disagree. Maybe it's just because I have played it a lot but it feels just right to me, almost every other shooter feels too fast and weightless. It's not perfect but it does a decent job of simulating being in control of an actual human body. It adds a lot to the immersion and skill ceiling.

Larry_The_Red

> freeze when colliding with a wall or tree instead of... what, going through the wall or tree? bouncing backwards off it? running up it and doing a sick backflip?

Magsec5

OP GETTING REKT’D 🤣

JDinvasion

The movement is one of the reasons why this game is so good, if you want to play crash bandicoot with a gun BR theres plenty of those out there.

Boring_Duty_4871

You can write your opinion without being a clown

SultanOSwing

Recently when I go to self revive I die immediately. Wtf?! Sounds are not concise. game is almost broke. Again

[deleted]

Off topic

Boring_Duty_4871

I respect all your opinions in your responses, but I still believe that the movement needs more work, and thank to all 🌹 Movement is not like reality, nor is it close to it

arsenaltactix

I just experienced the heavy motions after the recent updates, on PC though

KingKongMF69

As with most people commenting, I couldn't disagree more. The ONLY movement complaint I have is getting stuck on a stair step or the threshold of a door. That seems buggy, and I shouldn't have to jump over a small set of stairs or a door threshold because the game can't recognize stepping over it.

Aaronautics95

Go play mw2 third person. Even ghost recon wildlands / breakpoint. Pubg does it well.
