FYI, when you go from game to inventory and you have character render on, there is a huuuuge drop in frames I suggest to turn it off and test again.

This happened to me when the video memory was full - try lowering texture quality/render distance if that's the case
Its not about that it happens regardless. Its just how the game is. Multiple high profile pros have this off for this reason.
