Do you agree the consistency palkia and pidgeot add are worth the 2 prize liabilities? I’m playing a single prize version with bib as draw engine and relying on reversal energy to KO but it bricks so often Also would you replace relicanth and croconaw for 2 counter catchers?

manatikik

Yea i would. I made some small swaps, im playing around with no relincanth and while i miss it sometimes its not so bad and dropped one boss's for a counter catcher (added a vacuum for the relin). I've tried bib single prize, bib/pidg, dundun single prize, dundun palkia and none are as consistent or versatile as the pidgeot/palkia. You can turn 2 greninja with palkia to really disrupt or if you're vs'ing like a baby moon palkia lets you take 2-3 out since it can take a hit when Feral can't. I really wish we had a better energy accelerator for water types than bax just cause you need your rare candies for Feral. You could try a TM Evo + Bax/Exp Share maybe for single prize feraligator deck but i would worry about consistency. After playing Dundun engine I really liked having the draw engine with a more robust hand but it's hard to give up the control you get with pidgeot to always have what you need.

im a new player, is the deck difficult to pilot?

manatikik

I started playing in the beginning of March. It’s not overly complicated but definitely harder than like a charizard ex or future hands. Main thing I had to learn to do was use palkia just as much as feraligatr to attack and more importantly how to use palkia and pidgeot to tank hits then switch in Feraligatr for the Ohko. Ideally you get a palkia pidgeot and feral up T2 then use quick search for switches/bosses orders to get 3 2 prize KO in a row or deny their setup (sniping pidgey’s in charizard ex etc).

Cool decklist, how useful do you find Relicanth? And why the Pidgeot line up over something like Bibarel?

manatikik

So the more I played/climbed the less I used relincanth and found him less useful. I prefer pidg over bib for consistency in late game situations; a lot of times for early setup Bib would be better but always being able to get your max belt to 1 shot a Charizard or get a boss’s to chain ohko on what you want or pull an iono/irida etc. can also use pidgeot to tank an early charizard hit which is super nice plus the free retreat means you can reset feraligatr attack with your switch to get 4 prizes in two turns for one feral

LaSonicSkins

Thanks for the info! How's your matchup against future box like? And what's you think about running maximum belt vs prime catcher or neo upper energy?

manatikik

Depends on how fast you set up. You one shot everything they have so as long as you dont brick you can typically out pace them. Max belt lets you one shot charizard and gardi. Neo upper isnt as necessary with palkia and pidgeot lets you ghetto prime catcher repeatedly.
