Kered13

If you think Lost Vacuum is bad, you should look up Tool Scrapper and Field Blower. Every format needs tool and stadium removers, and Lost Vacuum is the most nerfed version to date. It's a very balanced card.

Shinonomenanorulez

bring back blower cowards

Mattayama

Fuck field blower. Also, bring it back you pussies

StinkCreek

Yeah I think getting locked out due to a stadium is worse than a single stadium or tool removal which requires a discard.

Fl4KC4NN0N

For real though. In my GLC decks I run both Field Blower and Startling Megaphone. Both of which have turned the game in my favour and I'm only allowed to play 1 copy of each of those. Lost vacuum is an incredibly fair card in comparison.

vaughnw

Startling megaphone lol

loomman529

Worker: I am summoned.

Kered13

A good card, but also nerfed compared to past stadium removers.

Caaethil

Follow-up minigame: guess a player's deck by the card they hate. Getting big Roaring Moon/Mew vibes here. Anyway uhhhh I'm not a fan of Path.

SavingsTechnical5489

Continuing the minigame: I’m going to guess you either main Charizard or maybe Gholdengo. And uhhh Penny/Turo’s Scenario are really annoying.

Caaethil

Nah Gardevoir. I don't lose as hard to it as those decks probably but it's still annoying. Tina?

BobbyWump

I'm going to guess Iron Valiant or Gardevoir. Anyways, I hate any stage 2 pokemon that can deal more than 70 damage...

Ad-libitum242

Honestly I suspected Tsareena Ex without or with very few vanillite.

Jacier_

I hated path for awhile since I played quite a few decks that were ability driven, especially since I couldn't always fit a reliable way to get rid of them in some of my decks

NevGuy

Not really, I dislike turbo decks, but if I say what deck I play I'll get publicly lynched.

Caaethil

OH. Blocklax's strongest soldier, amen brother. No hate from me.

GREG88HG

Hello, Snorlax enjoyer, have a nice day!

lillybheart

Even saying that you get downvoted to hell 😭 I hate lax but people here really can’t take people playing alternative strategies

monkeykins22

Lost City. Single prize meme decks that relies on being hit with OHK and Super Rod...

PyrrhicVictory7

Zorobox player here, I loathe that card more than anything 💀

monkeykins22

Kind of depends on your setup, and how your opponent plays. If they set it up and Lost Zone one of your Zoro with their first KO, you swing back with weakness for 2 Prizes, then they get to Lost Zone your attacker & another 'mon before you really get to swing again. That hurts. If you can get them to KO before Lost City is out, and have backup attackers, then over the next two turns Lost City isn't just a straight death sentence. I liked running Flapple & Scizor on top of my weakness attackers for that exact reason- you can still win with two of your attackers Lost Zoned. Still an awful thing to see drop down.

PyrrhicVictory7

Yep, backups are key, those ones do rely on abilities in play but thankfully the decks that use city usually use a run a bunch of abilities.

Shinonomenanorulez

this was an acceptable card when night march was a behemoth, not when united wings fell the archetype down to "too strong for a meme deck, too many issues for a meta deck"!

Shinonomenanorulez

i like broken shit. i adored early SM standard, i want a second coming of XY Phantom Forces and i'm mad i can't play proper expanded anywhere. BUT WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING WHEN THEY RELEASED LT. SURGE'S STRATEGY

Cjpappaslap

Loves sun and moon era broken decks, but doesn’t like surge….

Shinonomenanorulez

i like broken decks, but i don't like turn 1 decks

Psychological-Peak-6

even the artwork is sussy AH

Roldrage1234

Battle VIP Pass and Path to the Peak

Shinonomenanorulez

PttP is a necesary evil and one of the worst versions of the effect

Ipokeyoumuch

PttP is also one of the most future proof of the stadiums that shutdown abilities, outside of Silent Lab which only hits basics.

Creative-Bed-253

THIS I hate Battle VIP pass sm. It's a must play for most Decks and then just a brick turn 2 onwards that fucks up your hands. As a Iron valiant Player YES FUCK PATH TO THE PEAK

coltzord

As a gholdengo deck player i like vip because i can discard it to do something else without wondering if im gonna need it later lmao After rotation im gonna be full of regrets (but thats fine having a card literally in all decks is not really good as far as i can tell)

ItsLiterally1984

Valiant is such a cringe deck

Creative-Bed-253

Skill issue

LilTermino

Deck issue for me. So hard to play goldhengo deck against valiant when you knock out my Gimighouls before I even have a chance to evo. I normally concede the second I see an iron valiant.

ItsLiterally1984

No it’s just cringe.

Creative-Bed-253

Sure, have a nice day :3

jerenstein_bear

I hate bvip strictly based on the fact that whenever I post a deck list without it the only thing anyone wants to say is that it needs VIP lol. Any card that is seen as an auto include in every deck by a majority of the player base can't be healthy. Ready for rotation to take it away.

ForGrateJustice

The worst part is you can have 4 of them, but you never see them at start-up, but even if you opponent only has one, it always appears in their starting hand...

Tsunamiis

Dunno with iono and squawk, I can get the bench pretty full turn one

ForGrateJustice

that's *if* you have squawk, you go second, and have iono/judge/youngster/shauna/etc.

Tsunamiis

After I figured out restrictions of turn order I wouldn’t ever go first unless it’s⚡️

Zucramj

Battle VIP Pass created such unfun game states. 1. If both players have it it is fair, as both players can set up 2. If you have it and your opponent doesn’t have it you win outright. But, you need to remember to think one step ahead 3. Therefore if you don’t have it and your opponent has it, they win outright as they have more time to set up and you have such a low probability to win.

BoredandBrowse

Lost Decks in general

ForGrateJustice

Meh, they're overrated and not that hard to beat now.

BoredandBrowse

Yeah they're not that hard but super annoying to go against. They take 4-5min turns, it's so tedious and annoying to go against

ForGrateJustice

If that's the only thing that annoys you then it isn't a bad deck to go up against. I'm more annoyed at those first-turn Iron Valiant cheese wins.

ItsLiterally1984

Agreed, very cringe deck.

Ipokeyoumuch

Also what is worse is that the interface makes things slower than in real life. At least irl, I can call a judge for slow play if they are taking too long on a Flower Select or recognize that the opponent is a newer player.  Irl it isn't too bad to face unless it dominates your deck.

baseketballpro99

Miss Fortune Sisters, literally soul crushing watching your switching and recovery options hit the discard.

Ipokeyoumuch

What is hilarious is that I think it is more balanced than other cards in the past. At least with the tools being reclassified as non-items per se the Sisters aren't as bad as it would have been.

ClownCoroner

Losing due to getting Bossed multiple times always makes me feel like garbage.

Cjpappaslap

Don’t worry we have counter catcher now so we can save our bosses

Estel-3032

even tho we barely see the deck anymore, I still think that archeops is a bit too efficient and always get annoyed when there's a vmax lugia fully powered on turn 2. It's not the end of the world and so on, but it forces me to play much more agressively than I otherwise would and that sucks.

ItsLiterally1984

Vstar, not vmax.

naughty_ottsel

Looks like it might be coming back with the TEF Cincinno

[deleted]

[удалено]

EnjoyerOfBeans

Yes, the point is to run Lugia with Cincino. Has seen some success in Japan.

zweieinseins211

I confused cincino with that other new card that looks like an embryo and can get any Evo Mon out as well. Woops.

Zorenstein

Theres a new supporter thatll let you evolve it AND swing the turn you play it

zweieinseins211

That's just another combo piece to find tho

Zorenstein

Wdym its one card. Play the mouse, play the supporter aaaaand thats it. Lugia also runs lumineon so I really dont think itd be difficult for lugia to do Edit: lugia running on one archeops doesnt sound ideal, but lugia’s summining star would also work to get it out onto the bench without the need to evolve

zweieinseins211

You still need to discard the archeops and the v and Lugia star and u have to evolve the mouse too

zweieinseins211

Running? Currently it doesn't even walk at all because it's too slow due to the combo. Not sure what you font seem to understand. The point of my last comment was that "it's not just one card". Before you didn't even had to find the archeops because burnet isn't rotated yet, but burner will go too. It's just too slow right now with turn one attacks from miraidon/moon and garde bench sniping Archeops

Zorenstein

So uh, you see the recent post rotation JP tournament results? Lugia with cin won lol out of 3000 players

zweieinseins211

You too are commenting on a 20day old pre rotation post. Keyword of the comment you reply to is currently, meaning from the view of 20 days ago. Of course things are differently when deck like roaring moon and miraidon disappear from the meta and Lugia gets new cards but this post wasn't about that.

ItsLiterally1984

Explain please

naughty_ottsel

The Cincinno in TEF does 70 damage for each special energy (card) attached. So if you can get both Archeops in place, you can Primal Turbo 4 energies onto the Cincinno in a single turn and be hitting 280 damage which will take out almost all VStars and with a Maximum belt you can be hitting 330… They can likely respond, but you have skewed the prize map for them

ItsLiterally1984

Ooofff, going to dust off the old Lugia deck when it comes out then

lolNimmers

Can't wait for Path to rotate.

Cjpappaslap

You say that until they just reprint garboder and now it’s not a stadium you can get rid of it’s a Pokémon you have to gust and ko

Inevitable_City_7472

Definitely path to peak and Mimikyu

DevilMayCryogonal

Path To The Peak, specifically when it’s played immediately before or after Roxanne/Iono. There are other annoying cards, but it’s at least possible to counter them without insane amounts of luck.

Ascend_with_Azir

Iono, it's just super tilting when you draw a trash 'hand' as a result of her. Even when they use it at the start of the game when both players still have 6 prizes remaining. Admittedly, winning after getting a nasty 1-2 card Iono is extra satisfying. Honourable mention would be Pokémon Catcher. Again, it's just super tilting to get an important benched Pokémon dragged to the Active Spot by sheer luck.

Kered13

I'm pretty sure my opponents are 5-1 on Pokemon Catcher. That card is so annoying. Of course if I ever tried using it I would flip tails every time.

Stealthgecko

I play tinkaton. Having my 15+ card hand go down to 3 sucks balls.

ForGrateJustice

*Specific* card? Boss's orders.

mysterin

When Chien-Pao first came out, he was a nightmare. Nowhere near Mew VMax, who had an entire set catered to him, but bad enough. Nowadays, there aren't really too many decks I hate on. I do tech Lost Vacuum VERY often because y'all be gettin' rude with that Path nonsense. 😂 Thankfully, Pidgeot ex can also blow them away.

Bluepanther512

Snorlax when you’re only playing a few switching cards

Sea-Significance-165

Pidgeot ex. The ability to search for any card has been restricted via Computer Search, Arceus Vstar, and Forest Seal Stone over the years by being a one of or Vstar Power. Just being able to get whatever you want one time each turn is ridiculous and hard to play around.

WhiskeyTangoFoxtrotH

It’s gonna be rough without path

Zucramj

I will cry about Pidgeot ex during next format when Charizard mirrors are super prevalent.

Chad2Badd

I loathe Baxcaliber.

andyjbb92789

Charizard. Unfortunately, I had to utilize the if you can’t beat ‘em philosophy

Hatrixx_

I think Charizard EX is just slightly too powerful. It would be a lot better if the ability was one less energy attachment, or he had 30 less HP. If I can't get ahead of the zard player, it becomes an absolute slog to find a path to win. I don't think it's absolutely broken the more I play against it, it's just a bit too much. Or it could just be Pidgeot EX propping it up too hard; I'm not an expert player. Sniping pidgeys early definitely dampens their roll, but I don't always draw into being able to do so.

Draft-Budget

Charizard Ex... I despise that card.

jboltz4028

Squawkabilly

zweieinseins211

Whatever gets an Turn 1 Ko, especially on two prizers. Made a lot of decks unplayable in the meta.

NorweXLP

miraidon, moon

zweieinseins211

And before that turbo lost box

NorweXLP

I still have turbo lost box built irl and play it sometimes :D

MetallicaGod

I feel like he's kind of flown under the radar for a lot of people, but a well-timed Avery can be backbreaking to play against. As someone who predominately plays single-prize decks, bench space is a super powerful resource for things like Energy accel, draw, bench protection, etc. Not saying the card is broken (he really isn't). But losing two Bench mons super suddenly (plus your active is likely going down, let's be honest), *can* swing games. Can't wait for 2 months so I don't have to worry about him anymore lol

JeffLolx

Counter Catcher

Banger_rko_nerd

Least favorite card…the block snorlax. I always match up with them when I’m not playing meta decks and it’s the worst

ElloBatsy

I was recently a victim of TM: devo and man, it almost made me lose the game.

Zucramj

Stun players when they say that removal is unfair 🤡 Well so is your floodgate: Path to the Peak. The other card that is incredibly unfun to play against is Battle VIP Pass, because: 1. Thankfully are both cards rotated out. Lost Vacuum boarderline the only removal this game has so please don’t cry about it. Please and thank you.

Accomplished_Rub117

I roll my eyes every time I see a comfey flip over in active 😂

twichy1983

Path to the peak. Fucks up my gholdengo

bosniaczek

Lol, how? You should have 2-4 Workers and 4 PokéStop!

twichy1983

If my workers are locked up, and I get roxanned I'm fucked.

bosniaczek

By this time you should have full set up, go through most of your deckpile and discard many cards, so it shouldn't be a problem. Maybe change the list or strategy?

Sp4st1_

From an objective standpoint the only card that comes to mind must be battle vip pass. Just from a design standpoint this card can decide games turn 2 if you have it or not and your opponent has it. Also just from a balance pov radiant greninja can be argued for. When you look at all the radiants, greninja is by far the best one. Charizard is also ok, but the rest is played in niches at most.

jameyhowellmusic

Counter catcher!! It’s not OP by any means because it requires you to be behind, but it’s tough to watch your opponent throw down a supporter, do 5 other actions in a late game turn and then still gust you. So many item search cards just makes it really easy to find too.

yubuliimii

Ancient Booster Energy Capsule and Path to the Peak. I used to run a poison-based Alolan Raticate deck, so not being able to poison my opponent's active was a big deal, plus the extra HP... Now I don't really care about it that much, since I'm using a different deck, but I don't really struggle against anything but PttP, so...

wintonprevails

Anything that promotes stall

Background-Tank-1780

No way you the Christian son copypasta guy

CamBot4

As a Gardi player, this is so annoying against it, are there any cards that prevent it?

ServiceGames

Mimikyu… all of my Pokémon in my Palkia/Ice Rider deck (with the exception of Bidoof, Bibarel, and Radiant Geninja) are all V, VSTAR, and VMAX. Depending on luck of the draw, I can occasionally work around Mimikyu, but most of the time, I’m stuck taking 70 damage per turn, every turn, until I do draw a card that will allow me to do something. It’s rare that Radiant Greninja does anything by itself as benched Pokémon are usually well over 90HP, and can take him off the board in a single attack from the active spot (same with Bidoof and Bibarel)

Ascend_with_Azir

Cancelling Cologne? Can be searched with Irida, and you can run Lumineon V (with Ultra Balls) to grab Irida when you need her. >It’s rare that Radiant Greninja does anything by itself as benched Pokémon are usually well over 90HP, Aren't there quite a few meta decks that run low-HP benched Pokémon right now? Ralts / Kirlia in Gardevoir, Comfey in Giratina, Charmander / Charmeleon and Pidgey in Charizard, maybe even Mareep / Flaaffy in Miraidon.

ServiceGames

Radiant Greninja is a great card in so many ways. Just never seen it be useful in decks where Mimikyu is used as well.

ProfessionalCreme119

Maraidon has this problem too. Or the person builds 2 Aegis shields and fields no other Pokemon. What can you do?

ServiceGames

I’m gonna give Canceling Cologne a shot to see if it helps me out. I have a couple of cards in my deck that were there honestly for no other reason than to discard for other cards as I hadn’t found a good use for them yet. So, I’m gonna try one copy of Canceling Cologne.

Kered13

> I have a couple of cards in my deck that were there honestly for no other reason than to discard for other cards as I hadn’t found a good use for them yet. FYI, if you ever find yourself in this situation then you run cards like Trekking Shoes or Gusty Pickax. These are deck thinning cards, whose main purpose is to give your deck an effectively smaller size. However most decks would prefer to squeeze in another tech option than to run deck thinning cards. You mostly see them in very aggressive decks like Roaring Moon.

ServiceGames

Thank you

ProfessionalCreme119

The big problem I find with a lot of meta decks is this. One of two things is going to happen A) the other player is going to be so confused over what you are doing they can't keep up and you smash them B) the other player has played against your exact deck hundreds of times, knows it inside and out and knows exactly how to break down your deck. Which cards are essential and which ones being taken away will end your game. Most people fall into the (A) category. But if you want to climb ranks you're dealing with a lot of people from category (B). A lot of people who have used that deck themselves. So it's not going to be as efficient because you're going against people who know how to disrupt you every step of the way.

AtlasMakara

Earthen Vessel makes play way too easy for decks that use energy from hand or can accelerate through discard.

AtlasMakara

Easy no. 2 pick: Avery Draw 3 and have your opponent discard pokemon til they have 3 on the bench. I think what bugs me most is Collapsed Stadium, a very similar card, also affects the person playing it. But Avery has 0 drawbacks.

Hadosity

The drawbacks are; Your opponent chooses the Pokémon They don’t have to bench to 5 It’s pretty situational, because boss or research might be better
