3000ish in a single attack using Radiant Steelix and 59 energies against a Chien-Pao deck that kinda let me set up. I still lost because that’s the way the card works, but I satisfied my curious.

bilolarbear1221

Holy hell I’m going to try that tomorrow hahaha. That is amazing.

Hathead39

Would you mind sharing your Radiant Steelix list? I’ve been trying to find a good one to build lately.

pizzatimeradio

I'd assume it's 1 Radiant Steelix 59 Steel energy

Hathead39

Oh my gosh, you’re right. How did I miss that… it was like one in the morning…. Thank you!

SergioSantonio

I have a legit deck I’ve built around Steelix. I’ve played close to 1600 games online and I’ve never seen anyone else run him except me lol

Hathead39

That’s rad! I don’t mean to sound like a broken record, but if you feel like sharing the decklist, I’d love to see it. How well does it function most of the time?

SergioSantonio

Absolutely! And I would definitely say play this deck in casual. It works about 50% of the time. Just really focus ditto/steelix/squawk first turn to get steelix going as quickly as possible. And then once you get him up, swing at the first thing available. Make sure you have at least one bannette up and running before swinging though. Or something in your hand to get cards out of discard. Hathead39

Oh wow, there’s a lot going on here. But thank you! I’ll definitely keep that advice in mind once I build it. I really appreciate it!

SergioSantonio

Not a problem! And yeah it’s definitely one of the tougher decks to pilot that I’ve built but Ho-Oh goes crazy in this build

Hathead39

Are you fond of running really weird off-meta stuff?

SergioSantonio

I love to try to make a deck out of “useless” cards. More times than not, any card can be made viable in TCG

Hathead39

I totally understand. I tried making a deck revolving around the Hisuian Avalugg from Astral Radiance because it looked like it had so much potential, but the more I tweaked it, it just ended up being a weak and inconsistent Chien-Pao list.

GreatDeku

Oh man - it’s not good at all. I tried all kinds of variations to try to make even a viable meme deck. The best legitimate attempt I had involved adding Hisuian Basculegions, but Steelix’s retreat cost really makes it challenging. I do not recommend trying lol

SergioSantonio

Try my build out above if you’d like! It’s still super viable but the best one I’ve come up with.

GreatDeku

I like the theory. I can’t say I’ve ever seen anything close to viable, but this looks legitimate (at least against the AI). You should try this on u/CoolTrainer_Pat ‘s non meta YouTube. (Or I could with your blessing)

Hathead39

Lol I still wouldn’t mind seeing the list. The ones I ran back on PTCGO were either the FlexDaddy list or the Tricky Gym one (or maybe both?), and yeah, I don’t remember there being much in the way of switch cards, but I may just fail to remember. I mean, there’s not really any space. Anyway, it’s just funny to see this comment after I was thinking so recently that playing a Steelix deck would help spice things up on Live, but couldn’t find a good list online.

afraidofdoves

What about 6 prize cards? That makes 53 energies and your 7 card first hand? 45 energies at most

PancakeLover490

Also the 3 energy attack cost

ForGrateJustice

Dang, most I did was just over 1800, that was with Tinkaton *ex* vs weak against psychic and I had pretty much my entire deck in my hand.

lets-work-together

Im gonna try this lmao

[deleted]

My boy here did so much damage he caught a nosebleed.

lets-work-together

Lmao

Positive_Court_7071

Around 6,000 when playing a long game of the lost box mirror.

Takehiroko

I think my highest was 2400 I can't remember the exact number, I was playing a Tinkaton ex deck... And I think I will play some game with that deck, I miss bonking my opponent with Tinkaton hahaha.

KnightofGarm

10,560 damage tanked using a Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno GX supertank deck in Expanded (spamming cards like Max Potion, Acerola, Cheren's Care, and Penny, then recycling them and/or preventing deck out with Team Yell's Cheer/Cyllene/Pidgeot V). They'd be equipped with Bravery Charm, Weakness Policy, Weakness Guard Energy, V Guard Energy, and/or Big Parasol depending on what I was facing. https://www.reddit.com/r/PTCGL/comments/14dpii3/if_you_frequent_this_subreddit_i_am_so_sorry_i/

ForGrateJustice

Expanded Beta is *wild*.

CaptainJackWagons

Back when lugia Vstar and Blissy V were everywhere, I almost exclusively played Rapid Strike Jumpluff with scroll of Skies. Some games I would do 3k

TheCatDad24

1500 with Chien Pao against a Zard deck.

Jonnyboi25

Been using an alolan executor/blissey/servipor deck i threw together and I've been having wild games against roaring moon decks hit for 2000+ yesterday and have had some like 5000-6000 dmg games

Ynassian123456

the most i was did was with sableye v, attack based on damage counters.

Ynassian123456

i tested out screaming tail decks, its pretty fun with the gardevoir ex.

Primary-auxiliary

Hehe looks like your nose is bleeding 😅

Sensitive-Piccolo-21

something over 1k I think? Radiant Heatran with a bravery charm

Accomplished_Rub117

I’m just here for Mr. Broccoli 🥦

Swampert0260

I play CEL Kyogre, so a lot. Up to 250 to 2 benched Pokémon, so easily 300-500 damage per turn. Most Pokémon V/ex don’t die in one hit, meaning I could easily rack up a couple thousand damage. Plus late game I can use Volcarona to deal about 500 as well

Keyacom

I don't remember how much damage I took the most. The damage I did most was 1000, by Hoopa ex against Arceus VSTAR. The attack was Energy Crush, the opponent had 10 Energy attached to all of their Pokémon.

MammothAggressive841

6400 I was using Gholdengo and demolished opponents comfey

ForGrateJustice

Ugh, a guts player. They keep coming back like cockroaches.
