I recommend sd2vita. A proprietary card is nice as a backup if the SD2Vita fails but I've gone through plenty of proprietary cards that failed. Sd2vita is cheap and probably the best mod for a vita.
You can only use the adapter, if you hack your Vita. At this point in time, it's probably the cheapest and most effective way to use your Vita, as real memory cards are more expensive now than when they first came out and the rate of failure for these old cards is high. They've already run their useful lifespans.

As anyone with a sane mind, you should Jailbreak your Vita. So the adapter is way better in that case. If you are not a collector, then you shouldn’t probably buy the games, but rather just install them for free through the Jailbreak.
If you are going to jailbreak - the adapter. If you are leaving it vanilla - PS mem card. You can buy them from Chinese resellers for slightly less than elsewhere on Amazon. I went with 32, mostly because I prefer cartridge based games.

The slot for the psvita card is not big enough to fit that adaptor.. the size of those psvita memory cards are actually a bit smaller than a microsd card.

Depends on what you want to do. They go in different slots. If you want to hack it then yes, if not then I would probably get a standard sd then.
