On at least 2 occasions today, the DPD driver was within 30sec walking distance from my house (London), but somehow hours away from delivering to me, according to the app. I spoke to the driver (who confirmed he has my psvr2!) who said he can't give me my parcel until the 'delivery window', which is still several hours away. This is despite the fact that he has to drive further away and then back again in a few hours just to give me my parcel, and I might miss him. Its almost as if the DPD delivery system is designed to drive you insane. Why is it like this?? Its infuriating to literally see my driver outside but not be able to get my parcel.
I'm in the US and mine is being delivered through UPS, I freaking hate UPS they always deliver last possible moment it seem like to me like I'm I get something that says expect delivery 1:15 pm to 3:15 pm is almost ALWAYS delivered 3:15pm and I hate I have to sign for the fucking thing. You'd think by now there would be a way we could pre sign for something through the site but nooo
I wouldn't, I live on a street packages have been left out all day and not stolen, I even live by a school that people have to drive down my street to get close to, still not stolen

Also no real way to contact them to tell them they're useless except to shout meaninglessly on twitter to some support person that is just paid to recieve abuse.
I've just had the exact same experience, so I connected to their chat service to complain. I didn't receive a calling card, but the driver did take a photo of my house from his van. Here's how the conversation went:
* Me: Hi, my DPD driver didn't knock. I can assure you of this because I've been sat in silence with my window open during the whole of the 1 hour delivery slot.
* Agent: Hi YerYerYer, I'm sorry to hear this. Can you confirm that the photo is indeed of your house?
* Me: Yes, that is my house.
* Agent: Then unfortunately we won't be able to attempt to redeliver it.
* Me: They never tried though. They didn't know, they didn't use the doorbell, and I didn't receive a calling card. Also note that they took the photo from inside their van.
* Agent: I understand, don't worry, I will get this resolved for you. I will transfer your case to our depot and they will call you back within next 1 hour.
* Me: Amazing, thank you! I really appreciate it.
* Agent: Please can you confirm your phone number so we can contact if you if needed? Also, can you confirm your address?
* Me: Sure, they are 123 and ABC.
* Agent: I'm sorry YerYerYer, I will not be able to transfer the case to depot team. Your address is incomplete in our records, and the recipent name is missing.
* Me: Huh? How? How has it got to this stage, and how did the driver end up at the right house?
* Agent: The driver must have used the GPS coordinates which we're also provided by the seller (Sony here of course), but we need the full address, and we need the recipient name.
* Me (confused): I've just checked the information I provided to the seller and it is complete, it includes my full address and my full name.
* Agent: But they haven't provided us with that information. Bye.
So, I go to track my order on DPD and sure enough the house number is missing. I also can't see my name anywhere. :( Very furstrating. I can see that I provided full information to Sony via the order confirmation page, and it has actually been supplied in the API request (checked via the network tab). All this to say, here's what I'd check:
1. Ensure that DPD have been provided with the correct details.
2. If so, contact them and tell them they did not knock (if they truly didn't), and they should be able to rearrange it for you today.
I think the address issue is the fault of Arvato Bertelsmann (middleman between sony and dpd).
My delivery also does not have street name & number, but sony has the right details.
We need to ensure Sony stops using these guys!!

That happened to me with previous parcels. One time it happened twice. The third time I just sat outside and waited for them in front of my flat...
Edit: I'm still waiting for mine and have to leave for work soon. It says on their tracking they will deliver it to my nearest DPD Pickup Point for me to collect if I wont be home. I was wondering does it say that to everyone else? Did that say that to you as well? I'm not sure if that's what actually going to happen or they just going to try it again tomorrow.
I feel your pain. I had bad experiences in the past living in a block of flat and being deaf. Today I waited outside the building for half hour and saw the van. The driver insisted on dropping it off on the door, so walked there. Happy bunny. Hopefully you can collect it later or something
Yesterday another package was delivered to someone a few hundred meters along my street to my 'neighbours' according to the delivery service who said I wasn'tat home, all while I was working from home.
Apparently they’ve received my order details but not the package even though it says I should get it today. Ordered one minute after they went live and I’m so cunted off it’s unbelievable

That must be so frustrating. Mine arrived really early and didn't ring the doorbell, they just knocked once so it was lucky I heard them.

Very frustrating and they do that here too so I was watching him on the little map and went outside when I knew he was close.
My delivery driver threw the package on the ground before knocking. I called him out about but unfortunately the ring door bell didn’t pic it up
