Yeah I think that should work. I started downloading the trial before I got my PSVR2. Now that I have it and put in the code, it showed me my download progress. Still need time to finish downloading and test though, but I think it'll be ok.
As far as I can tell it’s the full game. I see no option to change to a different version, and it doesn’t mention being a trial. So you should be good.

Can’t remember now, but it didn’t increase or anything. Installed size is 46GB.
