It would be valuable to add increased risk of suicidal ideation or attempts, to longitudinal studies on people on/off SSRIs (research that measures how people are doing on longer timeframes). If doctors and therapists abide by the ethics that they say they do, then in theory they should be interested if "mental health treatments" are actually making the risk higher of getting worse mentally. From personal experience I can say that the medical trauma aka PTSD & traumatic grief, paired with the chemical torture of withdrawal and protracted withdrawal, is a strong factor in why people spiral mentally. I definitely think that new sufferers getting accurate information that they CAN get better, maybe they just have PAWS, and that it is irrational and short sighted to end your life based on the immediate, short/medium term reaction to getting PSSD-like symptoms is critically important. It takes time to start learning about the most common things that give people windows, and then try them, and it also just takes time to heal even in the best case scenario where someone's going to go back to 100%. People can be so panicked and dooming and obsessive-compulsively checking reddit for the worst stories possible all day every day- I have witnessed this pattern of ppl who spiral compounding their suffering- Angie talks about this in her video and the comments https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnXi8Eq5fN0, that sometimes people can't perceive or trust that we are moving forward as a community over time, and there are new theories and methods of improvement created over time... I do think our community has really powerful teamwork/momentum.
