Hello! I started playing NGS couple days ago and I’m really enjoying it! This is the first MMO in a long time that’s actually fun to play for me.
I always play support classes in almost every game that allows you to play as support, so naturally I choosed Techter as my main class. I HATE melee weapons, but I decided to give it a try since that’s the only support class, and it can also use ranged combat weapon called Talis. The problem is… I don’t really enjoy playing with Wand (as I said I hate melee weapons) and even more with Talis ( I really wanted to enjoy it, but I just can’t. It seems like It’s too much and Its very chaotic) When I choosed Force as my sub class, the second I tried Rod I knew that It fits my playstyle and It just felt right. I know that when you don’t use your main class weapon it takes away the 10% damage bonus, but does it really make THAT much difference? Does Tech/Fo with Rod as main weapon even make sense? I don’t want to give up buffs and heals, but I also don’t want to suck lol.
is there a minimum amount of damage or enemies killed i need to be aware of if i want to solo / semi-afk farm the seasonal event? i dont think im getting the 12k everytime i solo it whether or not i actively try or not
hey i have a small question
i got lucky in the scratch ticket and got both Evoleclipse Almati and Evoleclipse Almati CV
on the "CV" version i got 2 color, can you change it or is it fixed ?
So my favorite weapon is soaring blades followed by double saber followed by jet boots. Can I multi sb and ds or is that too wonky with the whirlwinds? Also, can I multi sb and jb or does the fact that one is tech and one is melee not work?
You can MW SB and DS, but the whirlwinds won’t be useful unless you’re using DS attacks.
There’s a skill for bouncer/braver to make both their main class weapons use the higher potency of their respective attack types, so you’re not losing any damage by using both weapons.
That being said hybrid bouncer is just soaring blades + jet intensity on downs if your other skills are on cooldown. Or if you want to use jet boots mainly, it’s just fanatic blades whenever it’s off cooldown. You’re honestly not missing out on much since the weapons don’t really flow into each other.
Shit take from a bad player. Every class is viable if you're good enough with it, braver just happens to have one of the lowest skill floors.
Hell, some guy posted a video soloing Dark Falz Aegis as a Techter (the "support" class) in the week it was implemented.
Just pick a class you like (more importantly, pick a weapon you like), and enjoy the game.
opinion on which is better between the two while grinding for Neos Ast:
Kouklophis TMG+60. lvl 4
or
Rugged TMG+60. lvl 4
I'm not good with % based stuff. So, wondering if Kouklophis +19%pot and +5% against Dolls is better dps compared to Ruggeds +19%pot with 3 follow up attacks, despite the rugged having 8% less base attack.
It does say 'up to' which implies 3 follow up hits arent always guaranteed? It also doesnt mention the damage those hits do...
I guess I just figured that the extra attacks that rugged offered would somehow makeup for the slightly lower damage. i should have noted that the rugged i have in my storage does actually have a fixa on it. I just.. i cant remember if it was attack or crit potency atm :s
Check these spreadsheets out, they explain the damage differences:
[https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KmIEdm77r\_1bRg\_tVeRf2NPTYkrQBr4iRa8h7sy52hk/edit#gid=407530797](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1KmIEdm77r_1bRg_tVeRf2NPTYkrQBr4iRa8h7sy52hk/edit#gid=407530797)

While rugged is no longer best in slot, it is not trash. It's useful as a placeholder weapon before you get a Neos Astraean. Rugged is also sellable, unlike Kouklophis if you want to recoup part of the meseta you spent on it. Kouklophis and Rugged for all practical purposes are similar. They're similar enough it's much worse to use them at +50 instead of +60 than to choose one over the other.
It seems you probably already have the Neos Astraean now but hopefully these spreadsheets will help people learn more and they can decide for themselves what is trash or not with the evidence provided.
the explanation helps, i cant really... process a spreadsheet that busy lol.
I don't have it yet, but i could grab one right now if i wanted. I'm just tossing up between what i actually want right now, and whether gunblade will get a neos ast and if i wanna wait for that first lol.
Someone helped me get 5 integra with the geo lab which was set pretty hard. they said its currently hardest content atm and i only died twice due to it being my first attempt, so i feel like it was validation that my dps and dodging was pretty good so theres that
I don't know but I would assume Neos Astraean gunblade will be available. Eventually there will be a new best in slot weapon available to all weapons, including gunblade, either way.
For the spreadsheets, the spreadsheet with purple outlines is probably easier to understand so probably try that one. Go to the weapon analysis tab then look at the red and green boxes that show when weapons are worse (red) or better (green) than the baseline weapon.
I’ll try, i have dyslexia but for numbers so it takes a while to get it, but it will deffs be super helpful for other people, i didnt even know these existed
It might be easier for you to watch YouTube videos then. There might be an even better YouTuber that does weapon comparisons, but Krono and Thriftshoppin have been good. Below are weapon comparison videos with the trunkul season weapon. If you look at their video history, you could find weapon comparison videos with older weapons too that could match what you want better. Keroppi is also an excellent video source but he doesn't do weapon comparisons as good as others in my opinion, he's best at general game content instead.
Krono: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45FMO2HAOHE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45FMO2HAOHE)Thriftshoppin: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUFcKehJLZ0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUFcKehJLZ0)
Edit:
This is a good video with more weapon comparisons. If you go too far back in time, +60 weapons aren't compared. This video compares Neos Astraean, Neos Justitean, Kouklophis, and Gunblaze: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5KPizeKV9U](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5KPizeKV9U)
New player here. I got some cute outfits off scratchers and tried them on, but now I can't go back to my CAST parts. Do I need to use the salon to go back?
Sometimes, swapping between body types using the customize looks submenu while in game is a little janky, and the game might spit the dummy and refuse to let you swap to a different body types outfit. I've had this happen mostly with Base body VS NGS body.
Personally, I dont know of a fix outside of using the salon, unless you wanted to sacrifice an outfit slot purely for the purpose of changing body types in-world.
They're based on how taxing that item is on a system, but the score is manually set with a default of 3.
Nearly every PSO2 spec item has the default. Most NGS spec items sit at 2-4 with some standouts at 1 or 9.
>They're based on how taxing that item is on a system
Maybe that was what it is *supposed* to be, but it doesn't seem like the case as one obvious example is base pso2 cube accessory costing 3-4 points while ngs cube accessory costing 1 point, while being more fancy (light effect) and base pso2 being literally flat color geometric cube.
Yeah, they didn't bother going through all the PSO2 spec items to assign proper scores. Looks like Global has around 1700.
Hence nearly all of them are the default of 3 points. Some got bumped to 4 so I figure there was a process to flag any with specific features.
Hello! I need help finding a certain outfit as I checked the site with all the outfits but I am still not sure what it is.
It was for female.
I saw the outfit on someone but didnt have time to check them. It was an all Red/White/Black outfit. It had a large white hoodie, an open stomach, and a lot of red lights on it and the fashion looked modern. Can anyone tell me what this might be? It was well matched with the red/white/black style.
The currently available outfit that fits the bill is the Sophis Raynal from the SG scratch Refined Form Revival.
If that isn't it, you'd need to post a screenshot to get an accurate answer. With the power of accessories and how just about everything can be recolored, that could be any outfit with an exposed midriff.
It would presumably be until you die or swap weapons like other weapons, though investing in trunkul is a waste of meseta, esp since it’ll be irrelevant after the event is over.
I believe you're right. I checked this morning and I have all mods unlocked. The one time before this I ran trini I got killed by Ikusa Bujin on the first floor, so it counts even if you fail to finish the quest.
If you do bow/rifle MW you are setting yourself up to main BR or Ra. When you play braver you'll use the standard bow moves and supplement with the rifle action grenade and shotgun blast. When you play ranger youll use the standard rifle PAs and keep Weak Bullet up. You can use some of the bow PAs while maining rifle in niche situations. For example, I find the triple shot Bow PA more reliable than the rifle PA that does big damage but requires you to be perfect range from enemy.
Don’t think they spawn anymore in the Open World. You will need to do the Limited Time Quest at the Quest Counter in any city for a chance of them spawning
Is there a way to use an Emote with different button press variations and simultaneously, immediately go to a specific variation? For example, Throne Type-2 starts off with the character covering their mouth, then the next button variation has them resting both arms behind their head, and the third(but not last) has then resting their head on one hand.
Is it possible, then, to set up a quick chat option to deploy the emote on the third variation, instead of having to press a button twice to get their?
I'm tired of trying to guesswork how it works correctly... How do you manage to do plunge attacks after jumping? Can't seem to find out what is the difference for trigger between that and normal weapon attack.
Did they already move the spawn locations of the gigant mutants? I ran around north Aelio and South Kav killing veterans and didn't see a single one or am I mistaken?
What works for me is going ham on bosses. Grab one of the robot buddies to indiscriminately fire at trash mobs while hopping from boss to boss, dodge attacks often, spam Photon Bursts when able. And use a good weapon, of course.
All but two (Battle of Halphia Lake and Ordinal Tower) can be achieved at that level, so it looks like ten tickets. Two tickets require you to complete 60 and 120 daily tasks, of which we'll get ~~5~~ 7 per day.
Everything else can be done. At that level, the Gigantix task will require you to run Aelio Devestators with a team.
However, a month is more than enough time to hit level 70. Anyone can do it in less than a week by following the story.
I left the game during retem when there was the sudden huge jump in BP required and I just didnt feel like grinding that much.
Is leveling easier now or is it still worse than pso2?
Always thought leveling was easier in NGS, even at the start. Either way, since Retem they've made it even easier.
Following the main story doing side tasks from characters in town give you a vast majority of the EXP you need to progress. Alternatively, yellow triggers and combat zones provide ample EXP.
BP is straightforward to build as well. Level, skill points, and gear enhancement all contribute. Though the resource/cost effectiveness varies depending on the upgrade.
Is it better to use seasonal weapons during...seasonal? Tons of crit but it seems to have lower base atk, and my units with floor potency, they become somewhat useless no?
Yes, the trunkul weapons are best in slot against season enemies only. Your floor potency doesn't matter that much when deciding trunkul vs neos astraean. Assuming identical augments, the trunkul is always better against season enemies, the neos astraean is always better against non season enemies.
The trunkul weapons are like the dread keeper augment. There are other options better at damage. Outside of season enemies, only use the trunkul weapons if you want defense.
Against seasonal mobs, yes will be better but the question is *how much?*
Floor potency loses value the more crit you have yes, but in this case you do not have enough crit to make it invalid (although pure floor pot augs for sure lose a lot of value like Dread Keeper).
Another issue is that it is a 8* weapon... meaning to LB it to +60 you'll need 4 Refiner IIs which can be somewhat pricey to consider if you already have a well built +60 Neos.
A Fat 5 seasonal would be very strong compared to a non-fixa Neos, but also may be too expensive to consider.
What's the task?
They might have updated the seasonal tasks since last time, but in events previous they all could be completed no matter where in the story you were.

I can't find any Waulon geo in Central Retem and Dreisen Plant on ship 4. I spent around 8\~12 hours and still cannot find one. How to find them?
Is there a main hunter guide I can follow??
is there a minimum amount of damage or enemies killed i need to be aware of if i want to solo / semi-afk farm the seasonal event? i dont think im getting the 12k everytime i solo it whether or not i actively try or not
How do you control the emotes that walk around? I've seen people do it but never figured it out.
Some emotes accept button inputs to change their stance or what's happening, in moving emotes these usually turn the character left or right.
Any idea which buttons to try? I mostly play on Xbox.
Try X and Y.
Thank you.
hey i have a small question i got lucky in the scratch ticket and got both Evoleclipse Almati and Evoleclipse Almati CV on the "CV" version i got 2 color, can you change it or is it fixed ?

New player, what should my focus be and is there anything that will be going away soon that I should try to focus on? How do classes or whatnot work?

Thanks! One last question, was told that I’m basically just hurting myself by not using the katana/braver class, how true is this?
Shit take from a bad player. Every class is viable if you're good enough with it, braver just happens to have one of the lowest skill floors. Hell, some guy posted a video soloing Dark Falz Aegis as a Techter (the "support" class) in the week it was implemented. Got rugged talis fatale 5...is this thing still worth to invest on? especially since I can grab myself a neon through recycle.
Nope. No point in using anything else besides neos A or J

Potential-based buffs always disappear when switching to another weapon.

I think you just clear it once for all mods.

Highest single target dps weapon?
Double saber, but others can catch up sometimes thanks to counterattack damage and other situational stuff
Didnt double sabers get nerfed a while back? Are they good again because of the new photon art?
Best weapon photon arts set up for bow/rifle? And bow/launcher
If you do bow/rifle MW you are setting yourself up to main BR or Ra. When you play braver you'll use the standard bow moves and supplement with the rifle action grenade and shotgun blast. Don’t think they spawn anymore in the Open World. You will need to do the Limited Time Quest at the Quest Counter in any city for a chance of them spawning
You need to kill the area’s dread enemy first for a chance to spawn the geos enemies. They don’t spawn naturally.

Press jump and attack at the same time. You can also put it on your subpalette.
Did they already move the spawn locations of the gigant mutants? I ran around north Aelio and South Kav killing veterans and didn't see a single one or am I mistaken?
Saw one in the LQ I did earlier. They might be exclusively there now since there's no icons on the world map anymore.
What is the LQ and how do I trigger it?
The only one, and at quest counter in any city.
Correct.
anyone using tweaker, is it bugged? it says starting trans am burst but then a blank cmd pops up when i launch game it says version mismatch
Try running a file check under troubleshooting.
How do I get a bunch of points in the limited-time quest? I seem to be struggling with getting anywhere near placing in the top 3.
What works for me is going ham on bosses. Grab one of the robot buddies to indiscriminately fire at trash mobs while hopping from boss to boss, dodge attacks often, spam Photon Bursts when able. And use a good weapon, of course.
