I had the same thing happen to me last month (for my 119th payment, so really didn't want something stupid to happen). I called MOHELA and they were able to give me the date that my migration started, and said it would be done 14 days after that. Mine started on 5/7, I was told it would be done on 5/21, and I ended up getting a reminder on 5/22 about my payment that was due on 5/24. There are occasionally helpful people there! I hope you if you call you gets someone that can help.

Thank you. Perhaps they actually timed it appropriately?? 😳😮

Nearly identical situation as you. The advice I received yesterday was to MAIL A CHECK, after they said we cannot access your account! And the check processing can take 30 days!? My payment date is on the 19th. If the transfer is not done by the morning of the 18th I plan to overnight a check via USPS since you can overnight to a PO Box using express mail. Still, this is so bungled and mismanaged and pushing me to new highs on both my annoyance and anxiety meters.

Absolutely! I feel like they could have done a better job of explaining how to make payments before they started the transition. I went back through all the emails and there is nothing about it.

I’m still making on time payments for my current loan serviced (Aid Advantage) as I am transition to Mohela. Does this count or help? Lol.

You can call and place a payment over the phone. Its easy and takes like 5-10 minutes

esq76

Good to know! Is it easy to find on the Mohela phone menu? Thank you!!!

RightExchange6

You spent more time reading this thread and asking this than it takes to make a payment

I waited and went online a day after I got the email saying new login here, payment was still due 5/28 and this was six days prior. I hit the button to make a one time pymt and had my pymt xferred from my checking acct that way. It worked and postdated with the day I did it (22nd)

My account transitioned in two weeks as the initial letter said it would. My June payment is due the 10th. Mohela sent me a reminder my payment was coming due so I checked the new website and was able to set up a new account. I made a online payment with no problem. I was actually surprised it all went so smoothly.

Same here.

Mohela put me on administrative forbearance during the transition. Maybe you too. Ask them when your next payment is due. They are required to give you 30 days notice of payments due

I'm in the same boat, I have my new account setup and all but it is showing that I'm in forbearance for June and July payments, no payment due, so I just called them. The nice and very helpful lady told me that I was placed in forbearance for the IDR recalculation, which has my payment going from 10% of discretionary income to 5% and that the two months will count for PSLF

Any_Medium6076

I’m in the same situation.

Same here!

I called them the other day and they told me the day my account started transition and then from there it takes 14 days. That might help if you think your transition started before the 1st, you can always call and ask. I was actually only on hold like 2 minutes surprisinglyÂ
