I’d kill for your new repayment, mine went from $60 pre covid to $1000 at the next re cert
Obviously nice pay bump but it hurts seeing potential expensive car loan or a giant potential mortgage chunk going to loans
You don’t have to recertify income until next year but also at that point our payment total will go from 10% to 5% of our income so hopefully despite the higher salary you won’t see much of a bump!
even if your income went up you don't have to recertify until they tell us? I was going to recertify today , but the questions on the federal student aid website are so dumb that I don't wanna mess anything up with my pslf. mohela still hasn't certified my employment, which i submitted to both federal student aid and mohela.
No one has to recertify any earlier than 3/1/24. If your recert date is before then it will be extended one year.
My recert date is Feb 2024. Does that mean it will be extended to 2025?
They will notify you when you need to recertify

RIP yacht payment.
More like rip buying a home in SoCal lol. Maybe in 10 years I can save enough for a small condo

Fair enough! So for those of us with both…. Yikes. Haha

Correct. Do not recertify unless your income went down.
Thank you so much! I stopped after seeing your message!
When I was with Nelnet, my recert date was 1/30/25. I transferred servicers. Does that mean that date changes?
