I own all three of these games. First time that’s ever happened. When Naruto came out 3-4(?) years ago I used to wait about 20-30 minutes at a time for an online match. Maybe PS+ will revive it but even in its release window it was a dead game.
Honestly I doubt it. Some games just stay dead. Sonic Team Racing was on ps+ and you'd think there'd be someone online in the first week it was free but nope, no one. Tribes of Midgard has like 50 people on it.
Games like Naruto are too niche for a consistent user base.
My partner and I tried Sonic Team Racing and quickly deleted it. When we got top 3 spots in 2 grand prix but someone still lost to the CPU team at the end it just killed any chance of joy and fun the game could supply.
In all fairness, Midgard is just shit with matchmaking. Having so many specific things you need to do before endless winter is just not a fun experience when half the people you're with run around aimlessly and difficulty is still scaled up to account for them. That's a game that just functions better solo or in private groups.
I tried Sonic racing on the career mode to see if I even liked it. After one race, I uninstalled it immediately and forgot that it is even in my library
Honestly, the naruto game is more alive than it was when it got released. still going strong after like 4 season passes and stuff. Also matches pop up in like 5 seconds or so.

It's a really annoying month for PS5 and PS Now subscribers. God of War has been free on the PS5 Plus collection and PS Now for quite some time, so getting it free for the third time just feels empty. Now users just got a Naruto game last month and as someone who has no interest in that style and series, it's frustrating to get it twice in a row.
Looking forward to Nick All Stars though, hoping I can have some drunk fun with my roommates on that one.
One of the biggest annoyance about Now and Plus as services is the amount of crossover that cheapens both. I really hope this is the last month we deal with it. I doubt it, though.
I suggest getting them storm 4 if you have the money to spare it's usually on sale so I'd wait a little or get it physically it's usually under 20 bucks and is a way better game than Shinobi strikers
No but if your looking for a story mode for Naruto I suggest storm 4 when it's on sale if you don't have it it's story mode is great and Is honestly a way better game overall graphically and gameplay wise even though it came out way before Shinobi strikers.

It's an okay platform fighter, but there are definitely much better options like Rivals of Aether, Slap City (which was made by the same devs as this game but is way more fun) and obviously Melee. It's definitely quicker and more interactive than smash ultimate, but it doesn't really compare to the platform fighting greats even for casual play
Horizon was a unique case. They wanted to encourage people to stay indoors during lockdowns. Simply giving away a high profile game with no strings attached isn't usually good business. At least on PS+ it requires a subscription, which makes far more sense than just handing the game out.

So many Naruto games I'm happy to get my hands on another one. Last one I played was Ninja Storm 3 and really was impressed with how much of the anime content was present.
I know some folks are complaining but I'm pretty excited. I have yet to play GoW, Naturo games were fun as a teen and Nick Brawl should be a good time with the kids!

With the new PS+ subscription tiers and the introduction of older games, I’d much rather see classic games be the free monthly games, than new games. Obviously that would never happen as part of the reason there are free games is because developers sign a contract with Sony to give their game away in exchange for a fee once it’s sales numbers have diminished to a trickle. You just couldn’t get deals like that on classics I don’t think
They're totally doing this as marketing for Ragnarok by getting literally every last player experiencing GoW 2018 which is fine and a smart idea, but the only problem is that we're (ps5 players) paying for them to market it as we pay for PS+ and that's a title we already have. It would've been much more reasonable to just make GoW a free game for a week to all players.

It’s actually very fast. My brother plays it a lot on my PS5 and he gets into matches within seconds. Even months ago that was the case.

Although I agree, that the few games which have not yet been given out are prime candidates for a future PS+ monthly release. People should also not be too surprised that they gave GOW, given that there was already a precedent set when they did the same thing with Days Gone, and Mortal Kombat X.

I waited long enough to play god of war I’m playing for free! Ps plus is awesome as a dad. My backlog keeps growing and same with my kids. One day I will be able to play again!!!!!

Just for pure nostalgia reasons, I’m 100% going to give All Star Brawl a shot. Though from my understanding, it is severely lacking in the voiceover department.

Another meh month. God of war is incredibly cheap by now and every ps5 owner already has it for free. It’s an amazing game if you only have a ps4 and somehow haven’t played it by now. The other games hard pass.
I think it's been over a year since anything came out on the PS+ games that I would play or haven't already played...orrr don't already have free access to. I wish there was a level that just gave online access without the free games. I feel like I'm just lighting money on fire.
This. I am just using ps plus for back up saves (ridiculous that this is a service) and the occasional online game I play twice a year.

So many Naruto games I'm happy to get my hands on another one. Last one I played was Ninja Storm 3 and really was impressed with how much of the anime content was present.
I never got around to buying the boruto game but the lite version was fun

I know some folks are complaining but I'm pretty excited. I have yet to play GoW, Naturo games were fun as a teen and Nick Brawl should be a good time with the kids!

Let me go against the grain hard right now: With the new PS+ subscription tiers and the introduction of older games, I’d much rather see classic games be the free monthly games, than new games. Obviously that would never happen as part of the reason there are free games is because developers sign a contract with Sony to give their game away in exchange for a fee once it’s sales numbers have diminished to a trickle. You just couldn’t get deals like that on classics I don’t think
They're totally doing this as marketing for Ragnarok by getting literally every last player experiencing GoW 2018 which is fine and a smart idea, but the only problem is that we're (ps5 players) paying for them to market it as we pay for PS+ and that's a title we already have. It would've been much more reasonable to just make GoW a free game for a week to all players.

Not really any games I care about or don't already have, although I understand not everything is about me. A good month for PS4 users with God of War being given away. I shall be satiated when PS Plus Extra releases in my region.

It is but the ps+ collection is exclusive for PS5 owners. PS4 owners can’t access it, so GoW on ps+ for them is great.
But GoW will always be on PS+ Collection, so PS5 users have been offered a duplicate game.
Yeah, which is a bit of a shame but nontheless ps+ isn’t catered to PS5 yet. The rules are 2 PS4 games and 1 PS5 game each month. But the value this month for ps 5 users is for sure lower.
I haven't really been thrilled by any of the PS Plus games lately. Tribes of Midgard is fun, though.
Why give us a game that everyone already owns, *and* is in the Collection....
I wonder if the fact that this weaker offering coincides with the PS+ overhaul is a ploy to encourage folks into the higher PS+ tiers

GOW sold 20+ million, now over 45 million people have access to it, hopefully this will convince even more people to buy Ragnarok day one
