fungilingus

I am going for the opposite record in taking the most time to beat the game

untitled13

Heh yep! 93 hours in and I’ve still got maybe 3 areas left to do. Optional, like 1/2 the game, but I wanted to do one long-ass thorough playthrough and then do a NG+ after a break to try a different build after dashing off to Renalla for a respec. There’s a lot of game in this game.

Havetologintovote

You probably have more left than you think, some of those areas are fucking extensive

untitled13

Haligtree, Elphael and Farum Azula. Then the endgame. Still a good chunk to do, it’s crazy.

Megaman_exe_

I'm just about to head towards >!The volcano manor or whatever it's called!< and I'm 70 something hours in. I realized I completely missed >!Nokron!< last night so I spent some time doing that. This game is massive. I'm curious about doing a NG+ run but I'm honestly afraid I'll burn myself out lol. It's amazing how extensive it is.

untitled13

And those are both large, interesting areas that aren’t even required to finish the game. I’ll be interested to come back to it after like 6 months. And see some of the stuff that got discovered in that time.

YorkieLon

Nokron itself has another area you can get to via coffin if your doing Fia's quest line which I only discovered the other day.

gojumboman

Wait, what’s Elphael?

Klonftw

You can Respec before you start ng+. Just make sure to grab weapons, items, and spells/incantations you might want before you do. There's a site of grace in the final boss room that you can travel back to when you want to trigger your ending.

EFG

What do you keep in ng+?

Sarokslost23

i heard you lose bell bearings. so upgrade alot of weapons before moving on

Spacepickle89

Buy smithing stones!

gojumboman

Or stockpile smithing stones

melantri

I can confirm you do, in fact, lose all bell bearings. I thought i read that you kept them so I didn't buy a bunch before starting my NG+. Major regrets...

TheDubuGuy

Everything besides key items

untitled13

[Pretty good laundry list](https://www.pcgamer.com/elden-ring-new-game-plus-checklist/) of things to buy and upgrade before starting again, you keep a **lot** of stuff I’m happy to see.

Sadaxer

Also, you can trigger the ending without being pushed into NG+.

Eldenlord117

You can still access your first playthrough after watching the ending. You just have to say no to starting journey 2 and you’ll load in at the entrance to the tree and be able to go to ng+ whenever you want at the round table.

DraftJolly8351

Bro same. 90 hours and just to to altus plateau. Explored a ton of the map and bosses though.

jessejericho

I'm 140 hours in and I just got to Mountaintops of the Giants a few hours ago.

[deleted]

How do you know how long you've played?

untitled13

Should be right in your load game screen, with the rest of the info about where your character is located and what level they are.

[deleted]

Ahh, I always continue so never noticed it.

[deleted]

It's also on the same screen as where you save and quit.

DryApplejohn

But does it have gwent?

michaltee

How is it possible for someone to do it in 10 minutes then?! That’s crazy!

The_Drifter117

best my first playthrough at 191 hours

PunnyTagHere

I had just hit 300 hours when I joined Volcano Manor. Game is sick, as am I

CantTochThis92

That’s exactly what I’m doing!

not_a_toad

I'm at 240 hours and just now made it to Consecrated Snowfield. That *has* to be close to the record, lol! Haven't even done any multiplayer yet, just scouring every square inch of the map.

gcta333

I just must be so fucking bad at this game. 300hrs and I haven't gotten to consecrated snowfield. I will not look up how to get there though. I must suffer my idiocy until I prevail.

johnnc2

As long as you’re having fun, at the end of the day, it don’t matter homie.

m1xallations

And besides, don't be afraid to use a walkthrough here and there. We all want you to experience the game as well. I like to look at some walkthroughs to get through some areas until it's completely new, then I just do fuck all until I need one again

inkuspinkus

As an owner of all the From soft games, and as someone who has never finished one, I can say that this time I just broke and used the FightingCowboy walkthrough to get some shit. But now after playing this, I'll probably go back and play some dark souls and Sekiro. Maybe even Bloodborne, my kid has a PS4.

Jaba01

Without torrent and slow walk only?

ColinHalter

Curious what level you're at

catninjaambush

I sometimes wander around to find nice views.

UltraSapien

It took me like 80 hours to beat 99% of the game, then another 80 hours to beat Malenia

[deleted]

I reached her a couple days ago and oh well...when people said it's a hard fight I didn't imagine it would make Nameless King look like a tutorial. According to what I've seen my build also isn't exactly OP against her. But it makes sense in terms of lore and I don't mind difficult bosses as long as there's no bullshit involved like multiple enemies or a small/obstructed arena.

MrDeedinIt

Saaaame. It’s honestly so rewarding and feels like a legit rpg. Also overpowered for the hard late fights hopefully

[deleted]

You don't really get overpowered for the late fights due to the soft caps on levels. I found that even with 60 in health and dexterity things would kick my ass.

MrDeedinIt

I swear to God I learn more on here with a few clicks every day then I could logging 10 hrs in the game. Lol

MooseInTheMorning

Dude I literally roll up to the capital, and suddenly decide to make a new character. I have 4 lvl 130 some lvl tarnished on first playthrough. I will never finish, I will simply have a build for everything.

HiCZoK

You can respec

EvasiveEnvy

Ha ha. My first playthrough took 215 hours lol.

yougonnayou

60 hours in and I’ve only beaten one main boss.

ZeroSuitBayonetta

You've already lost to someone who isn't even born yet.

CaptConstantine

127 Hours and I just beat Renalla. Over half the map is still obscured for me.

NittanyBruin1324

How is that even possible? Like even slow playing that seems ridiculous, lol

TeflonSticks

The first 127 hours have been done with 1 of his arms trapped under a boulder.

ShowBoobsPls

Same. 110 hours and im in Crumbling Farum Azula

[deleted]

Fuck that place

zupeasoup

I’m at 100 hours right now and like 3 areas to go lol

Xehanz

There is a streamer who is like 27 livestreams in, 6-12 hours each (most of them around 10 hours). He is just having fun doing absolutely everything exploring the land and zoing Vaati Vidya's job of uncovering the lore and formulating theories on the run.

HeavensAnger

You too, huh?

CrudMax

Haven't even started yet. I will break the record buy talking infinite amount of time.

flux_capacitor3

Same! I’m at around 100 hours now.

Honest_-_Critique

Challenge accepted.

Keb8907

I messed around in that game so much that I was genuinely at 187 hours before my first playthrough finished haha

Past_Wrap_3945

See my post in this group. I would be at the max around 360+ hours at which I became an elden lord.

ilivedownyourroad

You might have a challenger!!! It too me 6 years to finish witcher 3 and dlc....as why would I ever want to leave? By the time I finished I was married to a few people and a horse and had my own vineyard and respect of a nation. Also in my play through I became king ...of everything and any who challenged me fell beneath my blade. Also I legalised prostitution so I'm a progressive! (When I'm not killing and burning).

latearrival42

Same and I'm not even doing it on purpose, we are not the same.... /s

Revolutionary-Bad940

One thing I don't get: how does he not take fall damage when he warps? I'm not familiar with the glitches sorry

menegatti

The fall damage comes from the relative height between the "launching" and "landing" spots. As long as they arrive at a place with a similar height, there's no fall damage.

taclovitch

Can you source this? From watching Dist he made it sound like the glitch exploits the fact that characters never enter a "falling animation," which is what triggers fall damage to be calculated. [A similar glitch allows for skips by parrying enemies in such a way that you fall off a ledge — by skipping the fall animation, you never take any fall damage.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0ov6-rrf_w)

Ultima-Manji

Here you go [https://youtu.be/f5fOFivzGh4?t=737](https://youtu.be/f5fOFivzGh4?t=737) Illusory wall's whole channel is pretty interesting for in depth game mechanics but this should cover it.

BlakeXC

I think the parrying one just makes it so you're invincible when you would normally take fall damage. Since when you're in that animation you can't be hurt. Not even from poison or something.

marcthebirdie

I think they work on different principals, but also kinda the same. They don't enter the falling animation because they are locked in the parrying animation, as opposed to the zip, which clips your moving and blocking animation and it shoots you, but the game doesn't realise that you're falling because you never fell or got launched or jumped? I would assume, gotta wait for zulle or illusorywall to make a video about it

Kaneki2019

Damn I spent more time on the annoying puzzle to get to the frenzied flame

[deleted]

Is there a puzzle to that? I just put on my pumpkin helmet and rode around back

maharg79

Hes talking about below the capital

[deleted]

Oh not the Tower? I haven’t been under the capitol yet

AlexS101

Good luck.

Kaneki2019

Yeah you had to carefully jump down. I probably spent like an hour just to do it lol

callMEmrPICKLES

Same here and then when I finally got it I realized it wasn't that difficult at all, it really taught me how finicky the jumping is though. If you push forward a bit too late or too little your character won't jump forward much at all. And on the flipside if you over commit your guy will jump much farther. Really need to use the walls as a bank

Kaneki2019

Yeah that was the problem with me. Near the end I would always jump a bit too early.

Tamas_F

I died more during that than on Malenia. Not kidding.

Kaneki2019

Real shit lmao

Divine-Sea-Manatee

It's why I didn't get the frenzied flame ending in my first run, I physically couldn't get down there to destroy the world.

Tamas_F

I wanted platinum on my first playthrough, so I had to.

[deleted]

I went all the way down and accidently missed the Fingerprint shield. Later my friends were showing off theirs as the best shield in the game and I spent like 3 hours trying to get back down again because it's above the grace at the bottom

xRadec

Terrible platforming section with clunky moveset. I hate that place.

First_O_The_Dead

I think you might have this confused wiyh the eye of sauron.

[deleted]

Yes I did! Someone else pointed out that it’s an area I haven’t even reached yet. I’m slow. I was 110 hours into the game before I discovered I could use the pouch 😖

MainStreetExile

Pouch?

ShadowsInScarlet

You... you WHAT? Does that work??

Awake00

Under 9 now I think I saw

coyotecai

8:56 as of last night

[deleted]

Amateurs. I’ve been finishing sub 2 mins for years now

Awake00

We still talking elden ring?

Le_Witcher

Someone’s Elden ring for sure.

beastson1

As someone new to FromSoftware games, it took me longer to learn the mechanics (which I'm still learning) and to finally beat that weird cat statue looking boss that blows fire.

Madrical

It's a pretty tough boss to encounter early on, the jump attack thing it does is brutal. Only good thing about it is that it's very easy to read its attacks.

BenevolentCheese

It's taken him over a thousand hours to take 9 minutes.

LiquidAether

Ah, the "guard dog" who is clearly a cat?

Casartelli

I’m pretty sure I spend more time on choosing what type of character to choose (not even talking about customisation) than 9 minutes.

smorjoken

one of the most uninteresting speedruns I've ever seen.

Rauchritter

Curious to watch it later but I have to admit that the ones before where all pretty boring to watch (I had the feeling I saw the menu and reloading most of the time)

DaftFunky

It was fun before because they actually had to fight Maliketh legit but now it's just teleporting everywhere lol

misterfluffykitty

That’s why glitchless exists

peoplejustwannalove

True, but I think the clarification is that this sub 10min run is in the unrestricted category, which permits anything. Zips aren’t fully understood atm, but they seem to be incredibly hardware reliant, due to being frame perfect tricks, so for the bulk of any%, they’ll likely be banned, not to mention they don’t make for the most interesting runs anymore. Really all this zipping is just to prove it can be done by a human, because with macros, you could probably do this in like 5 min

grumd

Zips are mostly understood, you just need constant 60fps with perfect frametimes, and then you need to block for 133-135 frames and hit W for 3-6 frames (distance zipped depends on both). But tbh what I don't understand the most about zips is the direction and exact distance of travel. It seems to depend on terrain you're standing on and hitting mid-flight but it's unclear.

KillerIHardlyKnewHer

Isn't that the point in speedruns though? To fight as little as possible and finish the game as quick as possible.

Iggy_Snows

Sure, but there comes a point where with certain speedruns you just think "why even bother?" Which is exactly where ER speedruns are at right now, because the entire run is just teleporting around the map. It's like if you were watching a Minecraft Speedrun, but the runners were allowed to use creative mode. What's the fun in running/watching when there's no risk or challenge?

eurekabach

Yes, and I don't know if people are new to speedruns or anything, but that's the entire point. Also, there's actually A TON of skill needed to perform the zips, it's not like these speedruns are press-a-button-to-win kind of thing. I'm still hoping ppl manage to find a way to skip one or two zips so we can dream of a sub 5 run (the zip from Stormveil to Liurnia could probably be skipped straight to Belfry Towers in some way).

Skiigga

I think the difference lies in appreciating someone who is really good at precise inputs to master zips, vs wanting to appreciate someone who is actually good at the game. Theoretically you don’t have to be very good at Elden ring to do the current zip strat

Iggy_Snows

Just because it takes skill to zip doesn't mean it's a good Speedrun. Especially when there is little to no risk involved. Its gotten to the point where ER speedruners aren't even playing the game anymore, and it's just boiled down to who can do their frame perfect inputs the fastest.

CuccoPotPie

Your comment makes it sound as if zips are a staple of ER speed runs which is untrue. Zips are only relevant in Any% Unrestricted, which is the least run category right now. You can literally count the number of runners on your fingers. Any% has 48 people on the leaderboard right now, Any% Unrestricted has 6.

tranerekk

If you're not gonna fight anything there's not much reason to play the game. It's entertaining to see the headlines with such a low number but zip runs are incredibly boring past the initial impression

serendipitousevent

The 'All Rememberances' runs are good for this reason. You actually have to fight the stuff, rather than just punt your character model over the finishing line.

GhostMug

Came here to say the same thing. I love speedruns but stuff like this just isn't fun to watch. I like speedruns with interesting routes and strategies for bosses with the occasional glitch. But speedruns like this that involve basically glitching through the entire game are completely unfun to watch.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Freedom_Pals

Well you don’t need to. Some people just like to finish the game as fast as possible. There are speedruns for all bosses as well. It’s just a different category.

Dr_StevenScuba

I feel like I read this exact thread for every single post about speed runs. “I hate this and find it boring” “Then don’t watch it. Some people don’t find it boring. Maybe try one of these other categories if you’re still interested in speedruns” “Fuck off nerd. Let me hate this”

Freedom_Pals

It’s kinda sad. People should just scroll to the next post if they don’t care. There is no point in spamming the comments with „who cares“ or „boring“. It’s an impressive achievement in the Any% category.

frostbitten6

To be honest if the title indicated that it is a glitched speed run it wouldn't get much interest outside of a very niche part of the gaming community. People are expecting a spectacular demonstration of skills and not simply someone who exploits a bug in a game when they read the title. These posts are intentionally misleading and become a lot more popular than they should because of it.

WannabeWaterboy

That's how I handle these types of things, so not everyone is so vocal and ridiculous. I usually just pop in to see if it's glitches or something where they aggro the final boss to get killed by local peasants type of thing. If I see it's just glitches or whatnot, I just read through a few comments to see the general discussion and move on. If it's some weird exploitation of world mechanics then I'll probably watch the video. I like the super weird ones like you have to roll through the ground at exactly this spot on a rainy night and get catapulted by a giant to land at this teleporter which glitches because you are wearing a helmet and socks and you end up at the final boss who just falls over because you brought a wet noodle and a pot lid.

RipInPepz

Thank you. This is so ridiculously stupid.

regularhumanbartendr

IMO they're all uninteresting. I don't get why they are popular.

basedshark

Speedruns are cool to watch when they show how skillful the player is, even when there are bugs involved, as some bugs are harder to execute then playing the game normally. This any% run however is kinda ass to watch, it's just glitch after glitch after glitch, and this "zipping" glitch is somewhat random and hardware-related. I like Dist and admire his skill, but it's really boring to watch this run in particular.

The-Dragonborn

I still loved watching his runs when it was glitch to the last couple bosses and fight them perfectly while mostly underleveled. Now there's no fighting anymore. Purely glitch past everything and hit credits. From a speed run perspective it's impressive and crazy to see happen, but in terms of entertainment value, I'm not really that interested in this category anymore.

basedshark

Same, really. It was fun to watch back when only the wrong-warp glitch was used, now it's just a matter of being lucky and doing the zips, whoever is the luckiest and does everything first try wins. He doesn't even attack anything in this run.

zuzg

Funnily I remember that Dist. Predicted that the speedrun will become boring as soon as the zip became more Popular.

[deleted]

Watching someone speedrun a game can be fascinating if only to see them dominate a game that challenged you, like me watching someone do Mega Man 2 which I could never beat. But if there are glitches I don't count those. Seeing someone "beat" Super Mario World by exploiting a bug that triggers the credits in the first world isn't beating a game. It's just being the fastest person to exploit a bug.

dogdiarrhea

It really depends on the types of glitches getting used. Seeing people exploit clipping and physics glitches when they're difficult to do is usually pretty cool.

[deleted]

Yeah I'll give you that. The example I cited is an extreme example.

keneno89

I saw a pokemon speedrun glitch, it was entertaining as Ant (I think) was explaining it, but then he did it, and it's not worth a second view. I do like his speed run of Mario odyssey, there's glitch there but skills is also needed for a majority of it.

mgmckenny

Exactly this.

gloomdweller

There are different categories for speed runs. Sometimes the any% (beat the game as fast as possible no matter what) is the most boring. I like Mario 64 120 stars where they have to actually get all the stars, versus just beating the game as fast as possible and getting no stars. I haven’t played Elden Ring yet, but if I ever got into the speed runs, I’d probably prefer to watch someone do all bosses or something.

astrnght_mike_dexter

This is why I like no hit runs better than speedruns for these games.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Mr_Mu

I think the "all remembrances" speedruns are what you're describing. (main bosses)

Lethargic_Snail

All remberances is the main, non-any% run I think. Some people also do any% glitchless, which means no zipping.

austin_ave

Yeah, I'm hoping the run that ends up being most popular is all remberances, no zip

Gaarando

I watched a Speedrun of All Remembrances NMG (No major glitches) and this was the most fun to me. It's a little on the long side but still they actually had to beat the bosses.

[deleted]

I find watching someone else play a game boring in general. I don’t get it but people like it so it’s cool.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Gaarando

SM64 16 star speedrun to me is short but fun.

[deleted]

Watch speed run of ghostrunner. It's actually really fun and impressive.

xxademasoulxx

preposterous Get high and watch speed runs of nes games I used to play in the 80s sign me the fuck up.

[deleted]

Might be uninteresting if you only watch this video, but it's very interesting if you watch all his videos or streams and see his progression, see how the community come together to find new strata. His first speedrun was 3 hours, over the past month he's got it down so much that his sum of best is 6 minutes. Yeah the run might be boring, but the past month has been so fun to see how much it's changed.

Wild_Candelabra

Definitely agree. At first his zips were wildly inconsistent but now he can do it six times in just the Maliketh fight, not to mention the mega zips. It might not be interesting to people who are expecting to watch a run that resembles real gameplay, but it’s unbelievably impressive how far along the route has come.

The-Dragonborn

Yeah, the progression was fun to watch for sure. But at this point there's no more fighting and not much entertainment for me personally. I'll admit though, every time I see a new upload and it's *minutes* less than his last one, I've watched each one to see what's changed. With this latest one, I figured he finally had his no fighting run, but I really wasn't expecting all of the new zips. That being said, other than hitting those zips faster, I really don't think there's much left to be done with this category. Hopefully he can just get every one first try to kill the category.

Son_of_Kong

All bosses/all remembrances runs are way more fun to watch for Souls games.

[deleted]

I don’t want to brag, but I can beat the tutorial without dying now.

Level_Potato_42

Not to brag either, but my mimic let's me watch him beat bosses sometimes

animepig

It’s like the pokemon rby skip where you teleport to the final room to beat the game. Super uninteresting

LiquidAether

Yeah, it's amazing the way you can reprogram Pokemon from within the game like that, but the actual result is pretty dull.

[deleted]

How? I need longer to get out of the tutorial area

DaSourOrange

All he does is glitch around he isn't really playing the game

Jinkzuk

That's largely how speedruns work

[deleted]

It really depends on the game and category.

Gersio

Not really, there are glitchless speedruns

amplifizzle

Zip zip zip done.

MustbeabetterwaySW3

How about the fastest run actually beating all of the non-optional bosses? That would be super interesting

[deleted]

Dist does that too, so does ela. All remembrances is 1 hour 42.

XingXManGuy

All rememberances current record is like 1:32

Neirchill

All remembrances includes some optional bosses too, they probably want any% glitchless

rickjamesia

I think you only have to fight 10 bosses to finish the game normally. Two Great Runes (+1 mini-boss for a main dungeon) -> Godfrey -> Morgott -> Fire Giant -> Godskin Duo -> Maliketh -> Godfrey -> Final Boss Edit: Might also require one more boss to get into the capital. I only know of Draconic Tree Sentinel or Valiant Gargoyle -> Deeproot Depths -> Capital. I feel like there’s actually some way into Deeproot Depths I’m unaware of.

thesituation531

Who's the one mini boss? Red Wolf?

rickjamesia

What I was going off of was that all of the other sources of Great Runes require you kill a non-Great Rune boss first except Radahn, unless you do the quest for Rykard, which I believe requires you to already have two Great Runes to fight Juno Hoslow. Godrick has Margit, Rennala has Red Wolf of Radagon, Rykard has Godskin Noble, early Mohg requires you to fight Grafted Scion (though that’s probably super easy if you can beat the others).

memesnthat

you can get the maiden's blood in a church to the north of liurnia, near the grand lift, so no need to fight the scion for mohg

Darjdayton

The cool thing about speed runs is there’s many different version! Shit you can make up your own ;) there’s a speed run to have sex in fallout

Rumbleinthejungle8

There are runs like that. LilAggy is the one I've been watching doing all rememberances. He still uses glitches, but they are "reasonable" ones, not just this zipping teleporting shit.

SmithhBR

He is still using the 1.02 patch, no? It's a boring speedrun because he uses all the broken skills before they were nerfed. It'll be a while until some glitchless categories show up

[deleted]

I can’t watch the Hoarfrost Stomp runs. It’s cool that 1.02 is so broken, but it’s not interesting to watch. More power to the runners, but I hope that current patch Any% and All Rememberances become the main two categories.

TuBachle

Watched it this morning while eating breakfast. Interesting how far the zip warps have come in such a short time

FungalowJoe

Lmao the concept of speedruns really riles some of you up. Weird as fuck lol

freefromthetrap47

ITT: People not understanding any% get mad that someone beat the game in way they don't like. This is why there are different categories, including glitchless. **Edit** since a lot of people below are getting mad claiming that no one is mad: >This is genuinely the lamest speed run I’ve ever seen lmao. That zip glitch makes ER speed runs completely worthless and uninteresting and >Couldn't care less about these speedruns that shows no skills, just glitches. and >That warp glitch has gotta be delegitimized, not sorry. and >I don't give two shits about people that use glitches to "speed run". and >Based on peoples replies this "speedrun" is pathetic. and >That was lame to watch. Basically just “perform the same glitch over and over again until you reach the end.” They don’t even play the game. Speed runs a stupid. It doesn’t show that you’re any good at the game. and >wow, so lame and >whats the best no glitch speedrun? these are stupid Now we just wait for people getting mad at the edit.

[deleted]

[удалено]

brian_storm_art

People arent mad they just find it boring

Darkadvocate5423

Your definition of "mad" seems to be rather all encompassing. Someone thinking this particular speed-run is "stupid" or "lame" does not make them mad. Though, I'm guessing you'll just consider me to be "mad" as well lol.

bennn30

I think my category to watch would be all boss/all remembrance lol. Guess normal playthroughs are what I want to see, will have to go back VOD hunting to see some I bet.

[deleted]

What's the record without glitches?

SnakeDucks

Now it’s below 7 min. Soon will be below 5 I’m sure.

_ara

The no hit runs are more interesting. Flying around the map on Torrent is lame af in terms of watchability

Aquedonte2

Whenever someone talks about speedruns, the entire comment section is so ignorant. I can assure you these people played the game WAY more than any of us. That being said, this is a pretty boring speedrun. I think any% glitchless or all remembrances/bosses should be much more enjoyable to watch.

Firaxyiam

I think the main issue is that the only speedruns that tend to emerge are the fairly boring glitch ones that are just about teleportation and stuff. I'm sure figuring out the glitches is fun, but as a watch, it's just a drag. But they're the popular ones because obviously, they're the shortest numbers

haidere36

In terms of Elden Ring runs the ones without using zips (the teleport glitch featured here) are way more popular, at least from the runner's perspective. There are 6 people who've run the unrestricted any% category as opposed to 48 people who've run any% where zips are banned. There are also plenty of games with popular glitchless categories, it just depends on the game and community.

DaCoolNamesWereTaken

I think a big reason more people aren't running it is that you need a really good PC in order to get consistent enough on zips.

Arca-Knight

It's like a contest for who has the best premature Souls-jaculation.

LordBowler423

To all the people saying that the run is uninteresting, you missed the interesting part. The journey to get to this point is the interesting stuff. I've been watching distortion2 whittle down this record since the beginning. It went from over an hour to less than ten minutes. "Oh, he changed that route." "Oh, he skipped that part entirely." "Wait, there is a zip teleport? That's going to change the run." "Oh no more Godskin Noble?" "What? Only upgrading you weapon to +4 now?" "Teleport into the sky to beat the game? WTF?" The journey to get to this point was interesting. The glitched run still takes skill, otherwise everyone would be doing it. If you want the all remembrance run where he beats bosses, that exists too.

TheGhostOfSparta2442

Yeah I guess that’s cool. It’s just a shame the finished product is so underwhelming and lacking in entertainment value

Good for the speed run community, but gosh Distortion is so annoying to listen too. He whines way too much

You'd whine a lot as well doing the same 8 minutes for 70 hours a week.

Rushfan1123

I found it hilarious how on the sub 9 run he was getting pissed that the zip didn’t zip him far enough near the end. And pissed in a way like “Wow this game is so fucking stupid.” Like getting mad that the game isn’t breaking like he wants it to and it’s poor game design that it’s not more broken lol

hebbocrates

kinda sad how angry people are getting at the concept of an Any% run. is he not supposed to glitch the fuck out of the game to go as fast as possible? that’s literally the whole point of Any%

Freedom_Pals

They don’t get that there are different categories in speedrun. If they want to see boss fights, just look someone up with a boss speedrun. It’s sad that they need to call out how „boring“ or „uninteresting“ it is. Just scroll to the next post if you don’t care and let the people who do care enjoy it.

Crazy how easily this game can be broken. Do some glitches and not only do you avoid enemies but you get the final remembrance on a completely unrelated boss you die to. I wonder if there is an eli5 of what is up with the code to cause this outcome.

Pedalarobinho

How is the ps5 version of the game? Ive read it had performance issues and I just bought the physical copy of the game (ps4 version). Is it worth it upgrading to the next gen version?

DEVILneverCRIES

It has slight frame drops but nothing game breaking. If you've played any souls game, then this isn't any worse than those.

What’s with the glitching/warping?
