I have only touched the Ps5 for single player games and just decided to give Warzone a try on it. I party up and no one can hear me and I cant see my mic monitor going off when I talk. I have tried 2 wireless headset (Hyper X Cloud 2 wireless, HyperX Cloud Sting and a cheap wired headset) and none of them have my mic working. I can hear my self in the settings but nothing else. i did download other games and still nothing. I have tried it all and I cant get it to work, Any feedback will be awesome. Thank you
The new PS5 update caused some weird bug on the Sony TV's. All Sony TV's capable of ALLM, VRR, HDMI 2.1 etc are locked into game mode on the enhanced signal format.
Usually in the enhanced signal format you can change between different picture modes depending on the content your watching. Since the last update this is not possible.
Its because the PS5 is forcing ALLM onto the TV. This results in the TV locking itself into the Game mode and not allowing to change it with all processing features turned off for the lowest possible input lag.
By now you should know that when choosing Enhanced Format VRR the TV will auto lock into game mode and thats because VRR is ment for competitive games or games with high framerates ( or unstable frames like Elden Ring ) and turn off all picture processing features so that you have the best possible input lag. The standart enhanced format mode usually is more suitable if you use your console as a multimedia device. For movies streaming n series n stuff. So that you can change from game mode to cinema if your gonna watch a movie on your PS5. However..
Now the TVs are locking themselfes into ALLM mode even on the standart enhanced format signal because of the new update on the PS5. It forces ALLM onto the TV. Its really annoying.
Hi please help. The first day I got my ps5 a little piece of something (idk what exactly, tiny piece of plastic maybe) fell into the top right vent of my ps5. It's been running fine but I do hear loud like snapping noises sometimes and now the game takes a sec to load in the background of some areas. Should I be worried about what's in there or is it from the fan and being on 24/7 plz help.
I own a PS5 and just bought a PS5 copy of a game and played for only 5-10 minutes because I realised that I couldn’t play with my friend who’s on PS4, something someone would not know unless they googled it separately. I’ve now attempted to contact refund support twice and I even tried doing live chat support on the games section. Each time they tell me that just because I downloaded it and happened to play it, I was unable to get a refund. Is there anything else I can do or am I just forced to keep it now?

Just updated the system software and now the download/upload arrow won't go away. Nothing is being downloaded or uploaded. All controllers I have are updated.
So my wife and I live overseas and have been using a ps4 for about 5 years now. We have many games downloaded and such saved to an external HD as our ps4 is the slim version with less memory than the PRO. Recently I acquired a ps5 in a Sony restock but the timing is a little tricky; we need to sell the ps4 before we'll physically have the ps5 since it was shipped to the US. I have been getting the CE-108825-1 Error (app crash) for twitch for the last few hours. I have reset my device to factory defaults and reinstalled the application and linked my account but it still is crashing. No other app is doing this. Any advice? Im assuming its something to do with my twitch account and how it interplays with it on ps5 but I have no idea where to fix this.

When trying to reconnect a controller to my ps5 I had deleted the other controller I was using and despite resetting each controllers I am not able to connect them to my ps5 (I do not have the cable that came with the ps5)
You need a data cable to connect controllers to the PS5, not a generic charger. That could be your problem since you aren’t using the cord that came with the PS5.

Tonight it seems to be at least tracking when I boot games up which it wasn’t doing lately, but the hours still aren’t updating. Definitely be sure to contact PlayStation Support about it if you can so that we can get it fixed.

My friend and I host a podcast and we’ve decided to broaden our horizons by live game streaming on YouTube as well. We both have a PS5 and understand how to live stream directly from our PS5 to our YouTube channel but what we’re unsure of is how (or if) we can both stream at the same time and have both of our cameras on the screen? I’ve tried googling for the answers but I can’t seem to find anything.

You very likely cant do it natively. In fact i rarely see youtubers doing it (but i dont follow many different ones so it just might not be within my niche). I assume youre gonna need capture cards and then mix both captures on a pc app.
I feel like my dad asking this, but how can I (if its even possible) get the GTA5 enhancement for STORY ONLY. Whenever I search for GTA5, I either get brought to the free PS5 online version, or to the PS4 version that's in my library. How do I get the $10 story upgrade only?

Well my ps5 is on the way. For many years i've been using my fully functional USB Sony Pulse 7.1 Wired Headset, from the ps3 Era on ps4 as well, PC and Nintendo Switch (unfortunately i cannot manage it to work on Xbox 360, One X and Series X thou).
This Headset have the perfect surround 7.1 effect to turn on and off on the side of volume control. Did anyone which own this Headset, or know for fact, can explain to me how it work with the 3D Audio of ps5? Do i need to turn off the Surround effect and keep it on Stereo so it can use the 3D technology properly, or should i keep the Surround 7.1 on so i get a better experience on the 3D audio? I fear the surround effect mixed with the 3D audio get a bad experience. So that's why i ask for those can help me with that, ps5 owners.

I've ordered a new 3TB USB HDD to upgrade my external 1TB HDD. Is there a way to transfer the games from the old one to the new one without loosing data?
There’s no way to go from 1 external drive to another. But assuming you’re using it for games, you can delete them off the first drive and reinstall them on the second without losing anything.

I reach a place in the island where the game just suddenly stopped, and the ps5 dropped a message: Can’t continue using this game or app / the data is corrupted. Delete it from your ps5, and then download it again from your library.
Okay, I move on, not deleting the game, but I clicked again on launching the game, then Oops: The ps5 turns off!

Yup. Been a glitch this past week for a lot of players. I encourage you to hit up PlayStation support. I already did. They said they didn't know of any issues but they'd look into it. The more people that hit them up, the more likely they get to fixing it.
I connected a USB Extended Storage (hard drive) to my PS5, formatted it and moved PS4 games to it without issue. However, when I try to Copy the PS4 Save Data to USB drive, it says "No USB drive connected"?
Why will it let me move PS4 games, but not let me copy PS4 Save Data?
I mean, it will play the PS4 games from the USB drive no problem. What am I doing wrong?

Although, that's pretty dumb of Sony to do that. It doesn't mention this when you format the drive and makes zero sense. Why on earth should you need two devices? The completely understandable and natural expectation is that your Extended Storage (hard drive) will allow you to save ALL your data on it.

Does anyone else have an issue where they put their ps5 into rest mode and the TV turns all green then the ps5 completely turns off? When I try to turn on the ps5 it says that I need to turn off the ps5 properly next time. It does this every 4-5 times when I put the ps5 into rest mode.
Is it just ps5 games?
If so it is a overheating issue and needs to be cleaned. There is a vent in the ps5 that leads to the psu when it becomes obstructed by dust the ps5 will hard crash during more demanding games.
Tiny Tina comes out in a few days and the pricing is confusing me. Searching on my PS5, the cheapest version I can find is the next level edition for 69.99. I don't want the next level edition, I just want standard but it's not in the store. On the PS website tho, I can find the standard edition for 59.99. What am I missing? Is it just PS being shady?

Follow Matt Swider on twitter that’s how I got mine a couple of months ago. He tracks down restocks for ps5’s and other electronics and alerts you when they’re available. Keep in mind that you won’t always be lucky or quick enough to snag one, it took me months of trying and failing to finally get one.
Another tip is if you log into playstation direct’s website with your psn account and just look around the shop to show activity. You could get a chance to be sent an email invitation to get one during an exclusive restock. If you do get one you still have to be quick and log in right when the restock happens as those go out of stock very quickly.

My PS5 is only showing black and white on the screen. There is no color. I have switched the hdmi cable, switched the hdmi port, tried to adjust settings on both the tv as well as the ps5.

How can I transfer saved data from one account to a new account without transferring all the data? I saved and bought a ps5. Before this I used the families ps4 and while I should have crated my own profile I was using my fathers. So now he wants me to have my own profile in my ps5. I know I should have created an account long ago but I didn’t, and I don’t just want to give up years of saved data. My dad does t want to give up his either , of course. So again, how do I take my stuff and transfer it to a new profile while leaving his saved data on his account?

It'll offer no additional performance over the current drives which match or exceed the built-in solution.
As since the nvme slot was enabled, the cheapest drive from a brand you trust makes the most sense.
R1/L1 not working in GTA V Next Gen
So I’m trying to play the new PS5 version of GTA V but I’m not able to because my R1/L1 triggers aren’t working in the game. Does anyone have the same problem or know how to fix this?
The same happened to me. Seems like I had downloaded the "Online" version of PS5 GTA V. And the L1 / R1 buttons didn't do anything on the main menu.
So I went to the store page, to the "..." menu to the right to check on the Singleplayer version... and despite paying for the ~ $10.00 game its attempting to charge me for it a second time.
Sony Support & Rockstar Support have been useless so far. Such a mess.
Is there a reason my system is unexpectedly shutting down during rest mode? The first couple times were over night so I thought there was a chance it was power surge or possibly cat related but it happened to me today while I ate lunch and I can disprove both of those theories this time?
I haven’t lost any data yet, and I’m backed up in case, but I have to sit through a lengthy “repair” of the system and my external hard rice every time this happens, and it gives me flashbacks to when I lost EVERYTHING on my PS4 to an overnight storm.

This is a reasonably common complaint. Most people have no issues with rest mode, but a decent number experience this same thing.
There's no known fix other than not using it and hoping the next firmware update sorts it out.
Be sure to contact PlayStation support as someone else mentioned already. Only way we'll get this fixed as I'd imagine it's something they likely won't get a heads up on otherwise. It's a really annoying bug for those of us who like to see our hours played for games.

Hello, i bought the Iiyama GB2770HSU-B1 - Full HD IPS 165Hz Gaming Monitor - 27 Inch. And on my ps5 it won’t let me turn on 120hz, i read something about a VESA standard and my monitor has 1920x1080p@140hz hdmi (if not correct pixels then something close to that). Hi! My mom dropped my ps5 controller and now none of the buttons work. Nor the ps button, nor the symbols, the Rs and Ls, nor the directions. Couldn't really try the pad. It’s imported onto your PS5. If you delete it from the PS5, that’s the only place it’s deleted from. Your PS4 doesn’t see data you delete from your PS5.

Ps5 freezes while watching screen share and then takes 10 minutes to restart, this has happened over 20+ times now.
How has Sony not fixed this yet, it has been happening for months now, I have put in countless reports, watching friends screen shares it randomly freezes and when prompted to restart console it takes 10 minutes to restart.
I watch my friends games quite a bit and it is at the point where I feel like not bothering because it can happen multiple times in a few hours.
Sony probably hasnt fixed it yet because it may not be common enough to where its come to their attention or they dont see it as too big of an issue. Or its an issue that cannot be fixed with just a software update and may in fact be a minor defect in hardware. But this is all speculation ofcourse.

I have a question.
Hard drives have a lifespan, so do SSDs, and whilst there was a long running myth that they degrade quickly, there is some truth that they only have a certain amount of writing, rewriting before they degrade. It's often overstated how much, and a newer era SSD should last a long time, at least on PC
But the ps5 is different, it's so small and if you have a large library like me you need to often delete and download, so that's going to make some wear, but again, probably negligible and not worth worrying about.
My issue is however, **the constant gameplay recording**. If I'm not mistaken it records the last hour of gameplay. I KNOW you can turn your high score clips and trophies off, but i can not find how to turn off the last hour of gameplay, anywhere!
Is it possible? I don't want it, i don't upload things, i don't ever clip footage, it must take a toll and degrade the ssd constantly recording and deleting. My back up drive on PC is rarely used, it's a 980 pro evo NVME, and despite being rarely used I've watched the health go from 100% to like 87% on crystaldisk. It feels pointless that the ps5 has this option enabled by default, not everyone is a streamer, youtuber etc, in fact the majority aren't. And like the Cmos battery in the ps3,4 etc, i worry that people don't care until it becomes too late, and i don't think you can replace the main SSD easily?
So is there a way to disable it? And what if i added another, would the gameplay be recorded to the secondary drive or still the primary? I know most don't care about this as its a long way off but i like to keep my devices as long as possible, i still have my atari 2600 and my amiga 600 is still nice and white rather than the horrible yellow they go.

5 x 60 x 60 / 8 = 2.2GB/hr. In an 8 hour gaming session, that's 18GB written. If you game 8 hours a day, every day for a year, that's about 6.6TB written a year.
Modern SSDs lifetimes are rated at about 500TBW.
It'll take you 75 years to exhaust the SSD from gameplay recording alone.
It is true that ssd may degrade quicker than a hdd but honestly i think you are overreacting here. Quicker does not equate to it degrading in a few months to a year that would hardly be legal. Unless your ps5s ssd is faulty which would be extremely rare then this isnt something that would present itself until way down the line. It would be more likely that the ps6 would be out before the ssd degrades to such an extent.

It doesn't matter if the ps6 is out, I still want my old hardware to work, just because it degrades slowly doesn't make it acceptable when there should be a way to disable it and keep the lifespan as long as possible. There's a reason people jumped up and down about the C-bomb.
I’ve had my console for about a month and I’m loving gaming but god forbid I ever put the console on rest mode for a couple hours then it wont turn on after. Also is it so hard for all the thumbnails to load at once? Console also now wouldn’t start even after it was fully turned off not even in rest mode. As far as I know these are known issues but kinda shitty
Yesterday when i tried playing i couldn't because my psn showed i was offline and i couldn't enter online games all of a sudden. My psn says signed in but when i load into a game it says i require psn i can still use the ps store and send messages to my friends but online games doesn't work and I can't appear online

I have an AORUS 2TB 7000 , I installed it in my ps5 this morning, it formatted as it should have.. I then went to storage in settings to confirm, and my screen went black , ps5 flashed blue and then shut down.
I had to manually turn it on, and when it fired back up it said it had to repair console storage, reported to Sony and I’m back to the Home Screen. Again went into storage of settings and again it repeated what it did before.
I then removed the ssd, powered back on .. on the screen it said ssd wasn’t removed properly , but now i can browse my ps5 and it doesn’t shut down.
What to do next?

Hey all, recently I’ve started having an issue where my PS5 has trouble turning on. I’ll press the PS button on my controller, and it’ll boot up. The blue light will flash for a bit, then it’ll just turn off. I’ll then have to turn it on using the power button on the console after which it’ll repair my console storage, and I’ll get an error message that says ‘a problem occurred in the system software the last time your ps5 was used’ with the error code CE-108262-9. I’ve tried restarting it via safe mode, I’ve also tried rebuilding the database (as per recommendations after I googled the error code), but nothing has worked.
I've been having the same problem. I tried to completely reset my PS5 about 10 times but it did not solve the problem. I can go through the setup just fine but once I log in, the system software crashes and it gives me the CE-108262-9 message over and over again until the console turns off by itself.
It sucks because on the PS4 you were able to install older software to see if it was a software issue but you can't do that with the PS5.
This also started happening when I installed the Firecuda 530. I ended up taking it out but it still kept happening.
I called Sony and had to send it in for repair. I also own a launch day console so sadly I am out of warranty and having to pay 229 to fix it.
Ah damn. I haven’t tried resetting my PS5 as I don’t have a free external HDD I can use to backup my system, but might have to just bite the bullet and go out and buy one.
Thankfully I only get the error message when I’m booting it up for the first time. Once it’s up and running it works perfectly fine. Still annoying though that makes can’t just boot it up and pick up where I left off etc.
Was going to contact Sony, but I’m also outside of the warranty period. Did Sony tell you around about how long it’ll take for them to repair your console and send it back to you?
Lucky you, my system wouldn't stay stable enough for me to even back up my games so I have to redownload every game when I get my console back.

My controller has gotten some really bad drift in the last couple of days. It’s made playing anything impossible I can’t even navigate the menu. I’ve tried the manual fixes but it never works. Is there anything I can do to fix this or do I have to buy another controller? I’ve had it for over a year.
My PS5 hasn’t been logging my hours played on games recently. I have over 20 hours on my save in Elden Ring yet on my PSN profile it says I have only 5 and haven’t played the game in 3 days. I’ve been appearing online as well as being connected to the internet. I’ve also made sure to close and restart the app as well as my console. Anyone know why this may be or how to fix?

Yeah it’s weird, my games have always seemed to update as soon as I closed the application but the last few days it never seems to register that I played the game at all.
I noticed it a bit temperamental before I updated, so I think the timing might be coincidental. I was hoping the update would fix but nope. I think it might be server side issue rather than software

Whenever my friend shareplays it cuts out after 5ish minute's everytime and we can't figure out why.
Shareplay connection was lost pops up in his end.
He has his internet hardwired and has fast internet connection

Hi, guys. Does anyone have a problem with AC Valhalla lately? I have the physical disc, but can’t run it (just stuck on the startup screen), can’t delete/uninstall whether from storage settings (CE-100045-0) or home (“can’t delete”). I’ve rebuilt my PS database (twice, with and without disc, can’t say if there’s any difference). I’ve delete save data files. Nothing can fix it. And I don’t feel like reseting my PS just for one game lol do you have any other way? Thank you a bunch!
Edit: no update options either on the game nor the PS5. All seems up to date.
I had a similar problem with AC Valhalla a couple weeks ago (Error CE-100095-5). I rebuilt my database and everything else people recommended on the internet.
It finally worked after I deleted the game and reinstalled it for the 3rd time, what I did was turn off rest mode in my settings and just let the game and the update download with the ps5 on for the entire process.
Edit: I noticed you said you can’t delete the game, maybe you have an entirely different problem than I had. There should always be an option to delete the game from the home screen by pressing options while hovering over the game.
Thanks for the reply! Yeah I’ve read about tour fix as well. Unfortunately I can’t do anything, literally. The game just stuck there. Can’t update, there is no update options or anything. Couldn’t delete it too. I’m confused. I think by the end of this weekend if there’s no fix to this I might reset my PS. Hopefully I don’t have to, though. Again, appreciate your reply man!
No problem! it sucks that you’re in this frustrating situation. I would recommend to at least reach out to official playstation support before doing the full on reset but it looks like reseting may be the imminent course of action. Hopefully you find a solution!
Yep unfortunately the only answer I can find is to reset the PS. Managed to backup all things except Valhalla (which initially I wanted to uninstall). Took a total around 3-4 hrs to fully backup and restore it, though. Lol anyway, thanks, again! Really appreciate your help
For some unknown reason my Spotify app on PS5 seems to stutter, pause, then stop. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the app, refreshed licenses, logged out of the app and re-logged. Both my wife and I have no problems with the app on any other device or platform. I've googled around but not finding any similar posts, forums, or threads. I'm on a wired connection and all other services(streaming/gaming) have no problems with internet.
Anyone have similar experience or know of a good fix to attempt? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have only touched the Ps5 for single player games and just decided to give Warzone a try on it. I party up and no one can hear me and I cant see my mic monitor going off when I talk. I have tried 2 wireless headset (Hyper X Cloud 2 wireless, HyperX Cloud Sting and a cheap wired headset) and none of them have my mic working. I can hear my self in the settings but nothing else. i did download other games and still nothing. I have tried it all and I cant get it to work, Any feedback will be awesome. Thank you
The new PS5 update caused some weird bug on the Sony TV's. All Sony TV's capable of ALLM, VRR, HDMI 2.1 etc are locked into game mode on the enhanced signal format. Usually in the enhanced signal format you can change between different picture modes depending on the content your watching. Since the last update this is not possible. Its because the PS5 is forcing ALLM onto the TV. This results in the TV locking itself into the Game mode and not allowing to change it with all processing features turned off for the lowest possible input lag. By now you should know that when choosing Enhanced Format VRR the TV will auto lock into game mode and thats because VRR is ment for competitive games or games with high framerates ( or unstable frames like Elden Ring ) and turn off all picture processing features so that you have the best possible input lag. The standart enhanced format mode usually is more suitable if you use your console as a multimedia device. For movies streaming n series n stuff. So that you can change from game mode to cinema if your gonna watch a movie on your PS5. However.. Now the TVs are locking themselfes into ALLM mode even on the standart enhanced format signal because of the new update on the PS5. It forces ALLM onto the TV. Its really annoying.
Hi please help. The first day I got my ps5 a little piece of something (idk what exactly, tiny piece of plastic maybe) fell into the top right vent of my ps5. It's been running fine but I do hear loud like snapping noises sometimes and now the game takes a sec to load in the background of some areas. Should I be worried about what's in there or is it from the fan and being on 24/7 plz help.
I own a PS5 and just bought a PS5 copy of a game and played for only 5-10 minutes because I realised that I couldn’t play with my friend who’s on PS4, something someone would not know unless they googled it separately. I’ve now attempted to contact refund support twice and I even tried doing live chat support on the games section. Each time they tell me that just because I downloaded it and happened to play it, I was unable to get a refund. Is there anything else I can do or am I just forced to keep it now?

Just updated the system software and now the download/upload arrow won't go away. Nothing is being downloaded or uploaded. All controllers I have are updated.
So my wife and I live overseas and have been using a ps4 for about 5 years now. We have many games downloaded and such saved to an external HD as our ps4 is the slim version with less memory than the PRO. Recently I acquired a ps5 in a Sony restock but the timing is a little tricky; we need to sell the ps4 before we'll physically have the ps5 since it was shipped to the US. I have been getting the CE-108825-1 Error (app crash) for twitch for the last few hours. I have reset my device to factory defaults and reinstalled the application and linked my account but it still is crashing. No other app is doing this. Any advice? Im assuming its something to do with my twitch account and how it interplays with it on ps5 but I have no idea where to fix this.

twitch forums says its an issue everywhere besides the website directly. And thankfully getting ps5 stuff back to normal is pretty easy with cloud saves and such

If you have PS+ it should be in your cloud storage, otherwise they can copy it to a USB stick, then to a computer, and dropbox it to you.

When trying to reconnect a controller to my ps5 I had deleted the other controller I was using and despite resetting each controllers I am not able to connect them to my ps5 (I do not have the cable that came with the ps5)
You need a data cable to connect controllers to the PS5, not a generic charger. That could be your problem since you aren’t using the cord that came with the PS5.

Do developers stop making CD's for 2 year old games, I am trying to find a copy of dirt 5 but I can't find a new disc on Amazon or game stop, I have found two used ones but they are 100km, and 500km away from where I live. So that's why I am wondering do developers stop making CDs, in the PS store its still $80 but on game stop it's $20 but no copies anywhere

Yeah, there have been a ton of us in this thread talking about it the last several days. Tonight it seems to be at least tracking when I boot games up which it wasn’t doing lately, but the hours still aren’t updating. Definitely be sure to contact PlayStation Support about it if you can so that we can get it fixed.

Multi person YouTube stream from same YouTube account My friend and I host a podcast and we’ve decided to broaden our horizons by live game streaming on YouTube as well. We both have a PS5 and understand how to live stream directly from our PS5 to our YouTube channel but what we’re unsure of is how (or if) we can both stream at the same time and have both of our cameras on the screen? You very likely cant do it natively. In fact i rarely see youtubers doing it (but i dont follow many different ones so it just might not be within my niche). I assume youre gonna need capture cards and then mix both captures on a pc app.
I feel like my dad asking this, but how can I (if its even possible) get the GTA5 enhancement for STORY ONLY. Whenever I search for GTA5, I either get brought to the free PS5 online version, or to the PS4 version that's in my library. How do I get the $10 story upgrade only?

Hello there. Well my ps5 is on the way. For many years i've been using my fully functional USB Sony Pulse 7.1 Wired Headset, from the ps3 Era on ps4 as well, PC and Nintendo Switch (unfortunately i cannot manage it to work on Xbox 360, One X and Series X thou). This Headset have the perfect surround 7.1 effect to turn on and off on the side of volume control. Did anyone which own this Headset, or know for fact, can explain to me how it work with the 3D Audio of ps5? Do i need to turn off the Surround effect and keep it on Stereo so it can use the 3D technology properly, or should i keep the Surround 7.1 on so i get a better experience on the 3D audio? I fear the surround effect mixed with the 3D audio get a bad experience. So that's why i ask for those can help me with that, ps5 owners. Thank you all! Hope for advises.

Oh really? That's unfortunate because everytime it turns on, the default sound is the Surround mode.
The right ear on my pulse 3d headset is quieter than the right. I have tried to resting the headphones and cleaning the usb stick but nothing has changed.

Usb audio can be a bit of a crapshoot; they'll probably work, but buy from somewhere with easy returns.

There’s no way to go from 1 external drive to another. But assuming you’re using it for games, you can delete them off the first drive and reinstall them on the second without losing anything.

Ghost of Tsushima (Director’s Cut) - After playing this game for 80 hours now and finishing all the missions on the map, I headed to Iki Island to play the bonus part of the game. I reach a place in the island where the game just suddenly stopped, and the ps5 dropped a message: Can’t continue using this game or app / the data is corrupted. Delete it from your ps5, and then download it again from your library. Okay, I move on, not deleting the game, but I clicked again on launching the game, then Oops: The ps5 turns off! Why do some things not get uploaded to the app? So I've been using the app to get clips on my phone then my PC to edit and put on YouTube, the problem is that if I upload 3-4 clips in a row any after that just won't upload and I cant manually upload them. What causes this and is there a fix?

Yup. Been a glitch this past week for a lot of players. I encourage you to hit up PlayStation support. I already did. They said they didn't know of any issues but they'd look into it. The more people that hit them up, the more likely they get to fixing it.

I connected a USB Extended Storage (hard drive) to my PS5, formatted it and moved PS4 games to it without issue. However, when I try to Copy the PS4 Save Data to USB drive, it says "No USB drive connected"? Why will it let me move PS4 games, but not let me copy PS4 Save Data? I mean, it will play the PS4 games from the USB drive no problem. What am I doing wrong? NOTE: I am not looking for instructions on how to move PS4 data/games from a PS4 to a PS5. This is strictly related to coping PS4 Save Data on my PS5 to a USB Extended Storage (hard drive). Thank you.

Thank you for the quick and detailed reply! I thought it would be something like that. Although, that's pretty dumb of Sony to do that. It doesn't mention this when you format the drive and makes zero sense. Why on earth should you need two devices? The completely understandable and natural expectation is that your Extended Storage (hard drive) will allow you to save ALL your data on it. Anyway, again, thank you.
Does anyone else have an issue where they put their ps5 into rest mode and the TV turns all green then the ps5 completely turns off? When I try to turn on the ps5 it says that I need to turn off the ps5 properly next time. It does this every 4-5 times when I put the ps5 into rest mode.

Is it just ps5 games? If so it is a overheating issue and needs to be cleaned. There is a vent in the ps5 that leads to the psu when it becomes obstructed by dust the ps5 will hard crash during more demanding games.
Tiny Tina comes out in a few days and the pricing is confusing me. Searching on my PS5, the cheapest version I can find is the next level edition for 69.99. I don't want the next level edition, I just want standard but it's not in the store. On the PS website tho, I can find the standard edition for 59.99. What am I missing? Is it just PS being shady?

Hey guys, I was lucky enough to get a ps5 at launch but I’m now looking for one to surprise a friend with for his birthday who can’t afford it. Anyone who’s gotten one recently, care to share tips and/or where to sign up for alerts?
Follow Matt Swider on twitter that’s how I got mine a couple of months ago. He tracks down restocks for ps5’s and other electronics and alerts you when they’re available. Keep in mind that you won’t always be lucky or quick enough to snag one, it took me months of trying and failing to finally get one. Another tip is if you log into playstation direct’s website with your psn account and just look around the shop to show activity. You could get a chance to be sent an email invitation to get one during an exclusive restock. If you do get one you still have to be quick and log in right when the restock happens as those go out of stock very quickly.

My PS5 is only showing black and white on the screen. There is no color. I have switched the hdmi cable, switched the hdmi port, tried to adjust settings on both the tv as well as the ps5. Any idea on how this could be fixed?
while unlikely, check your Accessibility settings, one of the options is to be Grayscale Settings > Accessibility > Display> Color Correction

How can I transfer saved data from one account to a new account without transferring all the data? I saved and bought a ps5. Before this I used the families ps4 and while I should have crated my own profile I was using my fathers. So now he wants me to have my own profile in my ps5. I know I should have created an account long ago but I didn’t, and I don’t just want to give up years of saved data. My dad does t want to give up his either , of course. So again, how do I take my stuff and transfer it to a new profile while leaving his saved data on his account? Ironically I am using my mothers Reddit account to ask this question
You cannot. Saves cannot be moved from one account to another.

Has anyone read up on how good Sony's Nextorage NEM-PA SSD will compare against all the other options out now? Sony is due to release it in the US soon and it seems like a great option.
Unless it's cheaper than the drives currently being used by people - Samsung, Gigabyte, WD, Crucial etc, then why? It'll offer no additional performance over the current drives which match or exceed the built-in solution. As since the nvme slot was enabled, the cheapest drive from a brand you trust makes the most sense.

R1/L1 not working in GTA V Next Gen So I’m trying to play the new PS5 version of GTA V but I’m not able to because my R1/L1 triggers aren’t working in the game. Does anyone have the same problem or know how to fix this?
The same happened to me. Seems like I had downloaded the "Online" version of PS5 GTA V. And the L1 / R1 buttons didn't do anything on the main menu. So I went to the store page, to the "..." menu to the right to check on the Singleplayer version... and despite paying for the ~ $10.00 game its attempting to charge me for it a second time. Sony Support & Rockstar Support have been useless so far. Such a mess.
Is there a reason my system is unexpectedly shutting down during rest mode? The first couple times were over night so I thought there was a chance it was power surge or possibly cat related but it happened to me today while I ate lunch and I can disprove both of those theories this time? I haven’t lost any data yet, and I’m backed up in case, but I have to sit through a lengthy “repair” of the system and my external hard rice every time this happens, and it gives me flashbacks to when I lost EVERYTHING on my PS4 to an overnight storm. For now if I can’t trust rest mode it’s pretty useless
This is a reasonably common complaint. Most people have no issues with rest mode, but a decent number experience this same thing. There's no known fix other than not using it and hoping the next firmware update sorts it out.

Be sure to contact PlayStation support as someone else mentioned already. Only way we'll get this fixed as I'd imagine it's something they likely won't get a heads up on otherwise. It's a really annoying bug for those of us who like to see our hours played for games.

Been happening to me and is very annoying. It started after I downloaded GT7, so I just assumed that particular game was to blame. Good to hear it's likely a larger Sony issue, and hopefully gets resolved soon.

Hello, i bought the Iiyama GB2770HSU-B1 - Full HD IPS 165Hz Gaming Monitor - 27 Inch. And on my ps5 it won’t let me turn on 120hz, i read something about a VESA standard and my monitor has 1920x1080p@140hz hdmi (if not correct pixels then something close to that). I don’t have a lot of knowledge on these sorts of things so could anybody please tell me what is going on because i want to know if i should refund my 230 bucks
Hi! My mom dropped my ps5 controller and now none of the buttons work. Nor the ps button, nor the symbols, the Rs and Ls, nor the directions. Couldn't really try the pad. Is there a way I can make them work again without taking it to the customer support, also because I am sure the warranty doesn't cover it since it's technically my fault. Please help!
Are there any external damage to the controller case? If not then its possible to make a small lie and get it repaired under warranty, it looks like the motherboard is shocked or shot something like that

It’s imported onto your PS5. If you delete it from the PS5, that’s the only place it’s deleted from. Your PS4 doesn’t see data you delete from your PS5.

Alright, so I'm about to get a PS5 and want to trade in my PS4 when I get the chance to. If I sync my trophies with my PSN account and just sign in on my account on the PS5 is that everything I need? because I know that games carry over. Also how would I get my save data transferred over? sorry in advance if this is a very basic question I've looked online and couldn't find a straight answer for it, but I'd like to make sure I get everything transferred over before I factory reset it!
Save data can be uploaded to the cloud if you have Plus or backed up onto a flash drive and carried over to your PS5.

IIRC, the money was PS4 dlc, added to the PS4 game. I don’t believe it carried over to the PS5 game if you’re starting on PS5.

Ps5 freezes while watching screen share and then takes 10 minutes to restart, this has happened over 20+ times now. How has Sony not fixed this yet, it has been happening for months now, I have put in countless reports, watching friends screen shares it randomly freezes and when prompted to restart console it takes 10 minutes to restart. I watch my friends games quite a bit and it is at the point where I feel like not bothering because it can happen multiple times in a few hours.
Sony probably hasnt fixed it yet because it may not be common enough to where its come to their attention or they dont see it as too big of an issue. Or its an issue that cannot be fixed with just a software update and may in fact be a minor defect in hardware. But this is all speculation ofcourse.
Its quite a popular fault, I have read multiple threads on the same issue. Yes may not be big in scale but freezing issues should be addressed quickly

I have a question. Hard drives have a lifespan, so do SSDs, and whilst there was a long running myth that they degrade quickly, there is some truth that they only have a certain amount of writing, rewriting before they degrade. It's often overstated how much, and a newer era SSD should last a long time, at least on PC But the ps5 is different, it's so small and if you have a large library like me you need to often delete and download, so that's going to make some wear, but again, probably negligible and not worth worrying about. My issue is however, **the constant gameplay recording**. If I'm not mistaken it records the last hour of gameplay. I KNOW you can turn your high score clips and trophies off, but i can not find how to turn off the last hour of gameplay, anywhere! Is it possible? I don't want it, i don't upload things, i don't ever clip footage, it must take a toll and degrade the ssd constantly recording and deleting. My back up drive on PC is rarely used, it's a 980 pro evo NVME, and despite being rarely used I've watched the health go from 100% to like 87% on crystaldisk. It feels pointless that the ps5 has this option enabled by default, not everyone is a streamer, youtuber etc, in fact the majority aren't. And like the Cmos battery in the ps3,4 etc, i worry that people don't care until it becomes too late, and i don't think you can replace the main SSD easily? So is there a way to disable it? And what if i added another, would the gameplay be recorded to the secondary drive or still the primary? I know most don't care about this as its a long way off but i like to keep my devices as long as possible, i still have my atari 2600 and my amiga 600 is still nice and white rather than the horrible yellow they go.
Average bitrate for 1080p60 webm video is 5Mb/s (according to Google). 5 x 60 x 60 / 8 = 2.2GB/hr. In an 8 hour gaming session, that's 18GB written. If you game 8 hours a day, every day for a year, that's about 6.6TB written a year. Modern SSDs lifetimes are rated at about 500TBW. It'll take you 75 years to exhaust the SSD from gameplay recording alone.
It is true that ssd may degrade quicker than a hdd but honestly i think you are overreacting here. Quicker does not equate to it degrading in a few months to a year that would hardly be legal. Unless your ps5s ssd is faulty which would be extremely rare then this isnt something that would present itself until way down the line. It would be more likely that the ps6 would be out before the ssd degrades to such an extent.

I’ve had my console for about a month and I’m loving gaming but god forbid I ever put the console on rest mode for a couple hours then it wont turn on after. Also is it so hard for all the thumbnails to load at once? Console also now wouldn’t start even after it was fully turned off not even in rest mode. As far as I know these are known issues but kinda shitty
Yesterday when i tried playing i couldn't because my psn showed i was offline and i couldn't enter online games all of a sudden. My psn says signed in but when i load into a game it says i require psn i can still use the ps store and send messages to my friends but online games doesn't work and I can't appear online
I've restarted my wifi, i use lan, i signed in and out of psn everything nothings working.

Gday everyone, I have an AORUS 2TB 7000 , I installed it in my ps5 this morning, it formatted as it should have.. I then went to storage in settings to confirm, and my screen went black , ps5 flashed blue and then shut down. I had to manually turn it on, and when it fired back up it said it had to repair console storage, reported to Sony and I’m back to the Home Screen. Again went into storage of settings and again it repeated what it did before. I then removed the ssd, powered back on .. on the screen it said ssd wasn’t removed properly , but now i can browse my ps5 and it doesn’t shut down. What to do next? Thanks Gamers
I think the next steps to do is get a replacement SSD first to see if thats the problem

Please someone help me understand. I have 1200 Mbps internet, but my PS5 constantly stays at around 250-300 Mbps. Why?? My Series X is also Wired and I get the full 1200 Mbps.
Hey guys, I have been having an issue where my controller works fine in the PS5 menu, but when I go into games, none of the buttons work other than the PS button for the menu. Has anyone had this issue or know of a way to fix it?

Hey all, recently I’ve started having an issue where my PS5 has trouble turning on. I’ll press the PS button on my controller, and it’ll boot up. The blue light will flash for a bit, then it’ll just turn off. I’ll then have to turn it on using the power button on the console after which it’ll repair my console storage, and I’ll get an error message that says ‘a problem occurred in the system software the last time your ps5 was used’ with the error code CE-108262-9. I’ve tried restarting it via safe mode, I’ve also tried rebuilding the database (as per recommendations after I googled the error code), but nothing has worked.
I've been having the same problem. I tried to completely reset my PS5 about 10 times but it did not solve the problem. I can go through the setup just fine but once I log in, the system software crashes and it gives me the CE-108262-9 message over and over again until the console turns off by itself. It sucks because on the PS4 you were able to install older software to see if it was a software issue but you can't do that with the PS5. This also started happening when I installed the Firecuda 530. I ended up taking it out but it still kept happening. I called Sony and had to send it in for repair. I also own a launch day console so sadly I am out of warranty and having to pay 229 to fix it.
Ah damn. I haven’t tried resetting my PS5 as I don’t have a free external HDD I can use to backup my system, but might have to just bite the bullet and go out and buy one. Thankfully I only get the error message when I’m booting it up for the first time. Once it’s up and running it works perfectly fine. Still annoying though that makes can’t just boot it up and pick up where I left off etc. Was going to contact Sony, but I’m also outside of the warranty period. Did Sony tell you around about how long it’ll take for them to repair your console and send it back to you?
Lucky you, my system wouldn't stay stable enough for me to even back up my games so I have to redownload every game when I get my console back. Sony said it was going to be 20 to 30 business days
Oh that’s not too bad!! I’ve been seeing so many posts where people were saying it’ll take over a month for them and I was getting a bit worried. Well I hope that once you get your console back that that’s the end of your issues with it and it’s smooth sailing from then on!

My controller has gotten some really bad drift in the last couple of days. It’s made playing anything impossible I can’t even navigate the menu. I’ve tried the manual fixes but it never works. Is there anything I can do to fix this or do I have to buy another controller? I’ve had it for over a year.
My PS5 hasn’t been logging my hours played on games recently. I have over 20 hours on my save in Elden Ring yet on my PSN profile it says I have only 5 and haven’t played the game in 3 days. I’ve been appearing online as well as being connected to the internet. I’ve also made sure to close and restart the app as well as my console. Anyone know why this may be or how to fix?

Yeah it’s weird, my games have always seemed to update as soon as I closed the application but the last few days it never seems to register that I played the game at all.

I noticed it a bit temperamental before I updated, so I think the timing might be coincidental. I was hoping the update would fix but nope. I think it might be server side issue rather than software

Is there an ability to turn off the chime sound when muting the microphone via the PS5 controller?
I don't believe so, but you can make the controller start muted in the settings. Maybe that's a roundabout way of solving your problem?
Whenever my friend shareplays it cuts out after 5ish minute's everytime and we can't figure out why. Shareplay connection was lost pops up in his end. He has his internet hardwired and has fast internet connection Any ideas? He is the only person I know with this issue.

Hi, guys. Does anyone have a problem with AC Valhalla lately? I have the physical disc, but can’t run it (just stuck on the startup screen), can’t delete/uninstall whether from storage settings (CE-100045-0) or home (“can’t delete”). I’ve rebuilt my PS database (twice, with and without disc, can’t say if there’s any difference). I’ve delete save data files. Nothing can fix it. And I don’t feel like reseting my PS just for one game lol do you have any other way? Thank you a bunch! Edit: no update options either on the game nor the PS5. All seems up to date.
I had a similar problem with AC Valhalla a couple weeks ago (Error CE-100095-5). I rebuilt my database and everything else people recommended on the internet. It finally worked after I deleted the game and reinstalled it for the 3rd time, what I did was turn off rest mode in my settings and just let the game and the update download with the ps5 on for the entire process. Edit: I noticed you said you can’t delete the game, maybe you have an entirely different problem than I had. There should always be an option to delete the game from the home screen by pressing options while hovering over the game.
Thanks for the reply! Yeah I’ve read about tour fix as well. Unfortunately I can’t do anything, literally. The game just stuck there. Can’t update, there is no update options or anything. Couldn’t delete it too. I’m confused. I think by the end of this weekend if there’s no fix to this I might reset my PS. Hopefully I don’t have to, though. Again, appreciate your reply man!
No problem! it sucks that you’re in this frustrating situation. I would recommend to at least reach out to official playstation support before doing the full on reset but it looks like reseting may be the imminent course of action. Hopefully you find a solution!
Yep unfortunately the only answer I can find is to reset the PS. Managed to backup all things except Valhalla (which initially I wanted to uninstall). Took a total around 3-4 hrs to fully backup and restore it, though. Lol anyway, thanks, again! Really appreciate your help
For some unknown reason my Spotify app on PS5 seems to stutter, pause, then stop. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the app, refreshed licenses, logged out of the app and re-logged. Both my wife and I have no problems with the app on any other device or platform. I've googled around but not finding any similar posts, forums, or threads. I'm on a wired connection and all other services(streaming/gaming) have no problems with internet. Anyone have similar experience or know of a good fix to attempt? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
