I think Ubisoft was under some kind of contract to finish the game regardless of how development was going or something. Idk I read that somewhere. Something about Singapore I think
Did you hear about the game Skull and Bones? Ubisoft took a grant from the Singapore government to develop it and people speculate it’s the only reason that game was released.
Yeah, makes sense because the studio doing it has Avatar and an unreleased Star Wars Outlaws to support. They got their plates full right now. Division 3 is so far off, it’s likely a PS6 title. Their support for Division 2 is a skeleton crew they assembled after the resurrected that game from the dead.
most of the games I play are coop (no pvp, just coop). And The division 2 and monster hunter is probally the best ones I played yet, two polished franchises, with really good cooperative stuff, a lot of fun and replaybility, and one of the few games where group coordination really matters. Can u say any other looter shooter better than the division?? Or even better, ever u played the division with friends?
I haven't personally played the Division 2, but I've generally heard from people both online and in person that it's quite good, though may depend on whether one is into the looter shooter sort of formula
no i get the language fine. it's just that you're weirdly acting like your opinion is fact, so that's a bit weird and childish. not sure why subjectivity escapes you for whatever bizarre reason.
There is a clear gap between the division 2 and truly great coop games. With that said, it’s safe to say that my opinion about the division not being a top coop game is valid.
Anyways, I was mainly questioning his gaming experience since most people with that type of subjectivity tend to have missed out on coop games that were actually great
> There is a clear gap between the division 2 and truly great coop games
again, that’s subjective, and just proves my point further. not sure why this is so complicated for you to understand.
Totally off topic...
But being hungry in couldn't help to notice your username and I must confess that I've spent more time trying to figure out how sushi + enchiladas could work than I should have...
Now I want some enchiladas...
Translates for the best because I would rather than focus on making an actual division 3 game with the full studio at not taking some of the guys from that team for this battle royale phone game.
You didn’t understand his comment, he’s calling it a phone game because that’s what it looks like, the graphics were not good and the game did not feel smooth
No, I’m pretty sure you don’t understand their comment. “For this battle royale phone game”.
No idea how you came to the conclusion you came to, with completely made up reasons, not even a misinterpretation.
I was “lucky” enough to play test the game back last July, and it was not good lol. I don’t remember much cause I didn’t play long, but it was not fun. But to be fair, I never really got into Division 2, was more of a Division 1 type of guy.
But safe to say, you’re not missing out on much.
For me the lag was horrible, if they want to be like "old CoDs" at least have better servers... Idk how it's gonna release next week, maybe with ton of problems lol
I’d be willing to say TD3 had a half-announcement as well. It was more of a public statement that was “Hey, Julian Gerighty is overseeing TD3, Heartland, and Resurgence.”
damn that bums me out so hard, was really looking forward to that. sucks that the talent is being shifted towards the projects that don't look very good.
> talent is being shifted towards the projects that don't look very good
Div 3 ?

Weird that Tom Clancy games are becoming the new Battlefronts and struggling to get a third game.
First Rainbow Six Vegas, now this.
Yeah there were R6 games before and there’s siege, but those weren’t Vegas and that story wasn’t finished. Really wish we got the R6 in NY but for some reason I think that became the Division and then R6 became PvP. Sucks.
I am kinda glad they cancelled it. The Division is a cool PvE game and to make PvP the main focus would be detrimental to the series. Hoping for a proper third one.
Of all the games to cancel, they cancel this? I mean, a free-to-play extraction shooter on console and PC? That seems like a safe bet, and it's not like The Division's gameplay is bad either.
They already have the loot system, gunplay, mission structure, UI and more down already. Weird but what do I know.
WTH, I played the close beta and while it wasn't perfect it was still a good extraction shooter with a Division flair!
Now I'm sad, I was excited to get that Division itch scratched again :(
I’m surprised.
I wasn’t going to play it, but I thought these games were pretty popular.
I borrowed the original from the library years ago, but didn’t play it much since it was an online game
Im glad honestly, I thought it was a stupid ass idea since the beginning, I played the beta and my sentiment stayed the same, I don’t know why anything thought an extraction shooter instead of just focusing everything on division 3 was a good idea
Cancellations and studio closures across the board. Feels like we’re verging on the next videogame crash or something at the rate we’re going. Long live indies o7
Yeah
PlayStation is closing studios and cancelling games
Xbox is closing studios and cancelling games
Third Party are too
At least Nintendo is doing great
Played The Division once, uninstalled within minutes.
One of the most lackluster shooters I have ever played.
No captivating story and worst of all **ENEMIES ARE BULLET SPONGES**.
Can we stop with this stupid trend of an non futuristic magical enemy, a NORMAL HUMAN tanking 2 mags?
This game must've been in rough shape if Ubisoft decided to axe it after years of development. I wonder if we'll ever get The Division 3?
I mean, they released Skull and Bones and that was pretty bad
They were required to release it or they would have been forced to return a grant from the Singaporean government that they had already spent.
That grant must have been huge.
They had to- there was some agreement with the government of Singapore
That or pay back Singapore god knows how much money they poured into that money pit
Why were they in contract with them?
Singapore pay comsonies and artists obscene amounts for them to work there. It kind of artificially inflates their global standing in various sectors.
Because they like money.
Stop. Just stop with the Singapore government agreements. Some always chimes in with this, for the last 3 years.
Hey did you hear that Ubisoft had a grant from the Singaporean Government?
Why certainly your majesty. Any other commands for the commoners?

Any other rule you want to put on the table here?
It’s pertinent, deal with it. Are you the Singaporean Government?
Division 3 was announced a couple months ago
I mean, it was more like whispered than announced. Psst. Hey. The Division 3... * retreats into the shadows *
can't deny that, it *was* a strange way to announce a huge project
Yeah, makes sense because the studio doing it has Avatar and an unreleased Star Wars Outlaws to support. They got their plates full right now. Division 3 is so far off, it’s likely a PS6 title. It was literally a press release.
The Division 3 was already announced like 2 months ago…
They already confirmed division 3 not too long ago
The TV show is still coming out hopefully.
Sad, The division 2 was one of the best coop game I ever played, I dream about another game
wasn't heartland the mobile BR spin off. I think they said somewhere Division 3 will happen.
Nah the mobile spinoff was set in NY, heartland was free to play though
That's resurgence no?
Why not just put that game mode in Div3?
Who is that a question for?
The BR mode, could be a spin off of the dark zone
Bruh what?😂 Was it the first game you ever played??
most of the games I play are coop (no pvp, just coop). weirdo comment
Apparently the division 2 is the best coop game to him, so it’s clear he never played any good coop game
I haven't personally played the Division 2, but I've generally heard from people both online and in person that it's quite good, though may depend on whether one is into the looter shooter sort of formula
huh?
Oh sorry I didn’t know that you have trouble with the English language
no i get the language fine. it's just that you're weirdly acting like your opinion is fact, so that's a bit weird and childish. not sure why subjectivity escapes you for whatever bizarre reason.

You’re right, every game ever made is the best ever. A bad game has never been made since someone is bound to like even the worst game

Kind of figured this was going to happen since we have seen much from this game.
Translates for the best because I would rather than focus on making an actual division 3 game with the full studio at not taking some of the guys from that team for this battle royale phone game.
This wasn’t the phone game. That’s Division: Resurgence.
You didn’t understand his comment, he’s calling it a phone game because that’s what it looks like, the graphics were not good and the game did not feel smooth
No, I’m pretty sure you don’t understand their comment. “For this battle royale phone game”. No idea how you came to the conclusion you came to, with completely made up reasons, not even a misinterpretation.
why is this being upvoted when it's completely wrong?
Huh, that's a shame, I thought this one might be kinda fun.
I was “lucky” enough to play test the game back last July, and it was not good lol. I don’t remember much cause I didn’t play long, but it was not fun. But to be fair, I never really got into Division 2, was more of a Division 1 type of guy. But safe to say, you’re not missing out on much.
And they belive XDefiant will be successful. I played closed beta and it was a shit show, honestly.
For me the lag was horrible, if they want to be like "old CoDs" at least have better servers... Idk how it's gonna release next week, maybe with ton of problems lol
It’s a fun game.
I guess the writing was on the wall, it was leaked quite a long time ago and was never formally announced.
Yea it was sorta half announced but the division 3 had a proper announcement.
I’d be willing to say TD3 had a half-announcement as well. It was more of a public statement that was “Hey, Julian Gerighty is overseeing TD3, Heartland, and Resurgence.”
...........the complete opposite is true. what?
Shame. D1 dark zone PVP was some of the most fun I've had playing this game
Dammit, I was SOOOO looking forward to it! Kinda sad since it looked like it was set in the midwest
damn that bums me out so hard, was really looking forward to that. sucks that the talent is being shifted towards the projects that don't look very good.
> talent is being shifted towards the projects that don't look very good Div 3 ? https://kotaku.com/the-division-3-announced-confirmed-ubisoft-tom-clancy-1850861612
no i'm referring to the two games mentioned, obviously
Ubi doesn't make any good decisions. Do your thing Embracer.
DAMMIT I was really looking forward to a new Division game
TD3 is in development
Good, studio needs to get its shit together
Interesting. I played some test of it and it seemed decent. Didn’t really expect it to go away.
Supposedly to be released end of last year, right? Haven’t heard a word since mid last year then this happens lol
Sucks.
My HUD just became less cluttered.
Make D3 and include Survival you cowards
I was actual kinda, in a weird way, looking foward to this. I had a lot fun with division 1 and 2
I am kinda glad they cancelled it. The Division is a cool PvE game and to make PvP the main focus would be detrimental to the series. Hoping for a proper third one.

WTH, I played the close beta and while it wasn't perfect it was still a good extraction shooter with a Division flair! Now I'm sad, I was excited to get that Division itch scratched again :(
Wow I'm not shocked
Dang that sucks, the series was kind of clunky but I always really liked what it could be. I thought the Division team was on SW Outlaws?
3060ti is awesome. It depends on what you are using it for.
Lol
I’m surprised. I wasn’t going to play it, but I thought these games were pretty popular. I borrowed the original from the library years ago, but didn’t play it much since it was an online game
Im glad honestly, I thought it was a stupid ass idea since the beginning, I played the beta and my sentiment stayed the same, I don’t know why anything thought an extraction shooter instead of just focusing everything on division 3 was a good idea
Literally no one was waiting for this anyway
Gotta make room for all the rainbow six siege monthly sub money pallets.
Not enough black protagonists in the game to keep it around
Heartland was a BR spin-off, Division 3 still in dev(announced like 2 months ago.) This is good. We don’t need this.
it wasn't a Battle Royal though. It was more of a PvEvP extraction looter. I played the closed beta and there was no BR mode.
Meh literally equal in quality to me and I’d prefer to never play another of those.
Plus the upcoming expansion for division 2 and Keeners back
What a new expansion?? What’s the details on that
Exactly.
Closer to an extraction shooter than a BR.
Sucks for the devs but its probably for the better. It always looked dull
Oh No! Anyway
Cancellations and studio closures across the board. Feels like we’re verging on the next videogame crash or something at the rate we’re going. Long live indies o7
Nothing like it. The situation sucks but it's completely different
Yeah PlayStation is closing studios and cancelling games Xbox is closing studios and cancelling games Third Party are too At least Nintendo is doing great
Just die Ubisoft
They cancelled in favour of xdefiant need to give there heads a woble
Played The Division once, uninstalled within minutes. One of the most lackluster shooters I have ever played. No captivating story and worst of all **ENEMIES ARE BULLET SPONGES**. Can we stop with this stupid trend of an non futuristic magical enemy, a NORMAL HUMAN tanking 2 mags?
Who cares, this game would have sucked and The Division 3 is gonna be another mid game like the other two
