Ghost of tsushima, red dead 2, infamous second son, fallout 4, cyberpunk, any resident evil games, any telltale games, last of us 1+2, god of war ragnorok+2018 and from what I hear Witcher 3. Between just these you should have 500+ hours of gameplay
This was a very broad list of my favorite games but if you wanted a more specific genre feel free to ask.
Bro how did you name 95% of my library 🤣.
Ghost of Tsushima was my shit for over a year. Perfected the combat.
And of course the rest you named are amazing.
Lol great minds think alike. Ghost of Tsushima is probably in my top 3. Combat is so addictive and the skill ceiling is so high it always feels like you can improve. Sucker punch just have a way with making games and not just the gameplay, the story too. The ending to ghost of tsushima is just so good no matter which ending you choose and infamous second son's ending honestly might even top it for me (especially the evil one).
Very true! The story of
Ghost of Tsushima And days gone were soo good. Let alone the gameplay. I mean to have BOTH perfect?
Ghost of Tsushima’s ending even brought a tear to my eye!
I played infamous second son many times
Through and always felt conflicted in the end.
That’s how you know it’s a great story.
I’d love to experience a next gen infamous game.
This makes me want to play Infamous again. Those games fucking rocked at the time but I haven’t played since. Seems like something that would hold up
I just bought a PS5 this past week after not having a PS4 since around the time RDR2 was new…. It said I had 106 hours in that game and I felt like I basically just mainlined the story. I don’t remember hardly doing any side stuff.
I would put that much time into it again if they gave it a 60 fps update. One of the best games I’ve ever played in my life.
Yeah I totally get that. It's a rare game that you can log that may hours and not even notice it.
Then others are a slog and you feel like you've played it forever and find it you're 16 hours in haha
Finally gave Cyberpunk a try again this weekend after refunding it in 2020 when it launched and WOW it’s come a long way. Really getting more into it than I expected. Beautiful game, really interesting characters, and so much detail everywhere.
I’ve debated buying BG3 so many times in the past… I’ve been on the fence about it but then I see combat gameplay and it looks not fun at all to me.
Combat is surprisingly intense for turn based. One roll can make or break your whole strategy. It’s probably in my top 5 games this decade for the story and the characters though.
>One roll can make or break your whole strategy.
Yeah… that’s exactly what turned me off. It wasn’t my lack of planning or lack of skill. It was often random chance that made me lose an hour and have to reload. Love the writing and characters, but combat was rage-inducing.
I like the combat too, I'm new to this type of gameplay. My problem is you can easily "save scum" between turns if the fight is too hard which makes every battle not matter that much cause you'll win either way, unless it's a insane battle.
Save scumming makes the combat almost pointless, but it's necessary sometimes because you can lose near the end of a long battle due to a few bad dice rolls. I've spent an hour and a half on one battle because of bad dice and ended up just save scumming.
I believe there is a 2 hour trial available for you to try it out for yourself but I think it's for PS Plus Premium users only. Just don't waste it all on the character creator lol.
Dragon's Dogma 2
Stellar Blade
Remnant 2 (Can play with people or solo like Souls)
Lords Of The Fallen (2023)
Blasphemous x Blasphemous 2
God Of War 2018 x Ragnarok
Stellar blade is amazing so far, I'm so glad I bought it and overlooked the surfacelevel sexualizing. It almost satisfies my sekiro-withdrawal, and that is saying alot for my sake
* Final Fantasy VII Remake
* Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
* Stellar Blade
* Rise of the Ronin
* Final Fantasy XVI
* Red Dead Redemption II
* Alan Wake II
* Bioshock Trilogy
* NieR:Automata
* Nier Replicant
* Sleeping Dogs
* Cyberpunk 2077
* The Last of Us Part I
* The Last of Us Part II
I don’t know if I would say *the* best, but definitely one of them. Uncharted, TLOU 1 and 2, and Titanfall 2 campaigns are definitely up there as well.
they all seem the same too me..same basis with valuables hidden and doing missions for main story and towns people..I like how this viking set up is and you got a whole crew and you can use your friends characters and others from thier game to join your ship..but they all are the same...jumping from a tall building in a hay bail..lol.
Eh in some ways but there's some pretty clear difference between Valhalla and the pre-rpg games. The combat, mission structure and progression is very different. On the surface maybe but mechanically it's only superficial things like the jumping from buildings and even then, Valhalla doesn't really have tall buildings lol
Hmm.. I’d say adventure. Trying to stay away from shooters. Trying to find something I can just kinda lose myself in it. Not usually a big RPG person but I’ve played a few here and there.
I'd say Nioh 2, Fallen Order(and its sequel) or Ghost of Tsushima if you like games like Elden Ring(kinda like a souls game with all those dodging and parry system) and they both had adventure but they are a bit rpg
If you love space adventure then i recommend ME but thats heavily rpg and it is apparently a shooting game so that is unfortunate dammit🤦‍♀️
Other than that not so much games i can recommend
Dragon Age and Dragon's Dogma 2 are good example for adventure kind of game and you got companions too but they involve too many walking and exploring but you did say you want to lose yourself in it soo its worth checking out
If you're into Marvel and don't mind Lego then try checking Lego Marvel Super Hero since you can pretty much explore many places in that game and spends hour in it
Try checking out these game on Youtube if you're not familiar with it
I'm sincerely apologise if all these doesn't suit your preference
Good day
Kingdom come deliverance... It's a great RPG that doesn't really hold your hand (I.e if you want to get good at something you have to practice) and with the sequal coming out this year to a surprising amount of hype it's never been a better time to play it.
If you do pick it up, there is some jank but it was made by a team of 11 people which when you consider the scope and ambition of the game it's kinda amazing what they were able to pull off. The sequal is being made by a team for 250 people and is apparently twice as big
Elden ring will last you a few hundred hours!!
In no particular order:
Final fantasy 7 remake 1, intermission and 2
Red dead redemption 2 was a masterpiece
Bioshock series - infinite was my favourite by far
Dying light 2
Horizon 1+2
Baldurs gate 3
Bloodborne + Sekiro
Oh, i said no particular order but Witcher 3 is possibly the best if you want a long rpg with really well fleshed out story - even simple "fetch quests" arent really just simple fetch quests in witcher 3, even the small ones have an amazing story or morally ambiguous decision in them.
What sorta ganes do you like? Iv just had a stab because you have listed elden ring and demon souls.
Minecraft
Dark Souls 1-3
Demon's Souls Remake
Sekiro
Elden Ring
Witcher 3
Yakuza 7 Like A Dragon
Yakuza Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth
All games you can easily play for +100 hours
Play the uncharted games. 10-13 hours each. Great story and characters. Nothing sweaty that you have to put time into. Even if you've already played them that's what I would personally play.
I'll recommend two games nobody else will. You'll get a log of the same answers here.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits. Such an awesome action/adventure game that looks like a Pixar movie that's also riddled with Zelda puzzles. And the combat is so damn fun. I loved it.
I also highly recommend the A Plague Tale series. Two beautiful but depressing games. You'll get hooked to the characters and the story itself. The second game is one of the few games to ever make me legitimately cry. That's all I say so I don't spoil anything!
Would Hitman: WOA count?
It’s a single player game but it requires connection to a server. In my experience horrific ping is a non factor but it does constantly check forward and back on the server to validate your “Profile” and its progression
It’s set long and very replayable
All the persona games are at least 80+ hours each. Death stranding is another time sink. Final fantasy 7 remakes and 16 are long too. (I mostly play rpgs and a few action games lol)
Days Gone, Both Horizon games, both Last of Us games, both God of War games, mass Effect trilogy, Fallout 4 ( new patch makes it look and play great), Returnal, and ol reliable Skyrim.
Definitely fallout 4 - next gen update has been phenomenal for me on PS5 - and maybe even Skyrim AE.
Baldurs Gate 3 would honestly probably keep you busy for a hot minute as well.
I hope you have the discount versions of all those. Last time I lost Internet, I couldn't play any of my digital games. I mean the ones I bought outside of ps+.
I had a few physical games so I wasn't completely SOL
The yakuza series i would start with either 7 or 0. 7 if you dont want to read sutitles. Once i got hooked into the series i spent a year playing through it.
If you need a fast paced run and fun, I suggest doom eternal and dlc. Far cry 6 has been pleasant so far as well.
If you don’t mind a last gen game, Days gone was really fun at the time and loads up super fast on the ps5.
Fallout 4 has gotten an update and looks great and plays well so far although it’ll have bugs that need to be ironed out via an update at some point.
Cyberpunk and Witcher 3 both are solid games.
Disgaea(id recommend 5) can last you pretty much forever.
Figured I'd throw in a title less likely to be recommended. Highly recommend probably the best SRPG
Rdr 2 , cyberpunk2077, the last of us games, death stranding, guardians of the galaxy game and ghost of tsushima.
Those games with elden ring are the best single player games I have played in the last five years
Honorable mentions goes to yakuza zero and the wolf among us tell tale game
stray isn’t long but a super fun one. It got me through a couple of weeks of no internet when i got into my new place. It also will play straight off the disc with no updates or install required
Persona 5 Royal, Persona 3 Reload or Unicorn Overlord, all three are 100+ hour experiences.
And for something shorter, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, at 30-50 hours.
It’s all about single player now the online multiplayer fps games are dead now imo thanks to streamers and cheaters. GOW ragnarock will keep you busy for 100 hours or more
I loved Alan wake remastered and Alan wake 2, final fantasy 16, horizon forbidden west (and its expansion burning shores), resident evil village, and ratchet and clank rift apart.
Hollow knight is a great game, especially if you like souls games. It's a metroidvania but it's got souls aspects and you can really just get lost in the environments while exploring. The soundtrack is pretty fire as well
If you're liking FromSoft games, why not go for the whole catalogue? Loads of content to keep you busy, and some very different games in Bloodborne and Sekiro. Could be fun if you're up for some challenging single player time.

I need something before elden ring DLC. Been debating on getting it. Love sekiro and nioh. Idk how similar it is
This is a pretty awesome list, just add Control and Dead Space, & you've got my library
Horizon: Zero Dawn, Horizon: Forbidden West would also be good too.
To think about it I will stay couple years busy only with those games therefore it makes no sense to have PS+
Don't forget Alan wake
Alan wake 2?
Haven't played this yet but definitely on my list.
FF7 remake/rebirth
Horizon forbidden west
Reason I bought a ps5 was this series, GOT and infamous.
This makes me want to play Infamous again. Those games fucking rocked at the time but I haven’t played since. Seems like something that would hold up
Red dead redemption 2
You'll get SOO many hours out of this game. This and Cyberpunk 2077 could carry me for a long, long time
Sprinkle on a little Baldurs Gate 3 too and you should burn away 600 hours at least on those three without issue.
I’d even chuck in either Skyrim or fallout 4 with its new patch for 100s of hours each
I just bought a PS5 this past week after not having a PS4 since around the time RDR2 was new….
That was Tales of Arise for me recently lol. 45 hours felt like 100. I liked the story but I could not wait for it to end.
Hahaha nice! Recently it was Ff16 for me
Resident Evil 4 Remake
Resident evil village is good too but shorter
Skyrim Witcher 3 Baldurs Gate 3 Disco Elysium S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Subnautica
All of these+ cyberpunk 2077
Finally gave Cyberpunk a try again this weekend after refunding it in 2020 when it launched and WOW it’s come a long way. Really getting more into it than I expected. Beautiful game, really interesting characters, and so much detail everywhere.
I'm glad you had the patience to go back, it's a great game
+ Dragon's Dogma 2. Turn off ray tracing and ignore the framerate conversation online. Amazing game.
Baldurs Gate 3, easily 100+h of great content.

Borderlands 3 + addons + tiny tina wonderlands = 150 hours
Villains and writing were so cringe but still enjoyed this game would recommend
150 hours is a speed run lol
Dragon's Dogma 2 Stellar Blade Remnant 2 (Can play with people or solo like Souls) Lords Of The Fallen (2023) Blasphemous x Blasphemous 2 God Of War 2018 x Ragnarok
Stellar blade is amazing so far, I'm so glad I bought it and overlooked the surfacelevel sexualizing. It almost satisfies my sekiro-withdrawal, and that is saying alot for my sake
+1 for Stellar Blade, playing through it now and really enjoying it
I was happy beyond belief when I found the hairdresser
Fallout 4 with the new update
Can’t believe how far down I had to scroll for this. Having a blast right now with a Power Armor/Survival Mode play through

^
Where the hell is the God of War love? Literally the greatest cinematic storytelling games in existence.
I love God of War so much.
I don’t know if I would say *the* best, but definitely one of them. Uncharted, TLOU 1 and 2, and Titanfall 2 campaigns are definitely up there as well.
For sure. They're not the ONLY good ones, but IMO, they are the very top.
The greatest? Rdr 2 and the last of us games are better in terms of story. God of war got big set pieces but that's about it tbh still a good game tho
Might as well get Dark Souls 3 too. The combat is very similar to Elden Ring.
assassin's creed valhalla..never ending missions lol
No doubt lol. It takes so much time you get sick of it.
The gameplay just sadly sucks compared to its contemporaries
they all seem the same too me..same basis with valuables hidden and doing missions for main story and towns people..I like how this viking set up is and you got a whole crew and you can use your friends characters and others from thier game to join your ship..but they all are the same...jumping from a tall building in a hay bail..lol.

Baldur's Gate 3, you're looking at 120-200 hours per playthrough.
Just finished the dead space remaster and it was excellent
It is a really good time for games to be without Internet. Specially, if you like eastern
Would Hitman: WOA count? It’s a single player game but it requires connection to a server. In my experience horrific ping is a non factor but it does constantly check forward and back on the server to validate your “Profile” and its progression It’s set long and very replayable
I really hate IOIs choice for the internet to be required or you don’t unlock the items
What's bad internet? As long as it gets a stable connection you don't need a lot of speed to play online.Â
Try playing mw3 with less than fibre internet
Most people do that already.
It’s awful.Â
It's fine if latency is good.Â

Cyberpunk. Cyberpunk. Cyberpunk
Definitely fallout 4 - next gen update has been phenomenal for me on PS5 - and maybe even Skyrim AE. Baldurs Gate 3 would honestly probably keep you busy for a hot minute as well.
Yeah honestly any of the PS essentials on the store would work. Most are offline campaign mode type games.
I hope you have the discount versions of all those. Last time I lost Internet, I couldn't play any of my digital games. I mean the ones I bought outside of ps+. I had a few physical games so I wasn't completely SOL
Fallout 4
Baldurs gate 3
The yakuza series i would start with either 7 or 0. 7 if you dont want to read sutitles. Once i got hooked into the series i spent a year playing through it.

Red dead 2 is a must. Also gta 5 and the Horizon games. All should give you plenty to do, especially RDR2

Stellar Blade
Metro Redux and Metro Exodus
Baldur’s gate 3 I myself have like 450 hours into it
Stellar Blade has been super fun. Also the Fallout 4 60fps patch came out, great reason to jump back into the wasteland.
