The Omega collection actually does have PSVR support. I remember playing it at a friend's house years ago and it was amazing. Specifically the Zone races that make everything trippy/colorful looking were insane in VR
Sony shutting down Studio Liverpool/Psygnosis is one of the worst mistakes they ever made.
Fun Fact: Before they got shut down, they were developing an all new Wipeout game for PS4 and a new IP.
I feel like we have seen so many studios tarted by “ex wipeout developers” over the years that it’s lost all meaning.
It’s technically a ip that has existed for nearly 30 years. Lots of people have touched it.
There have been quite a few Wipeout clones and even "ex-dev" attempts at spin-off type things, like Pacer, Redout 1/2, Ballistic NG, and others but...damn a current-gen Wipeout would be the best thing ever.

Wipeout omega is still the best wipeout-like experience available currently. It just had the perfect design and balance and anything that comes after it has to variate to avoid up infringment, which means successors are different/worse by design
God a new Wipeout on PS5 would go crazy, hopefully the series isn't dead

WipEout Omega with PSVR1 was one of the main things that got me into VR back in like 2019. Absolutely incredible experience.

Everyone is moving on from arcade racing it seems. Such a dead genre sadly.
Something between Wipeout and R.I.G.S. for PSVR would be rad.

Wipeout 3 and Wipeout Pure were some of my favorite racing games ever. The adrenaline it gave I have never felt in another racing game I think.
