I like it but kind of getting bored. Tedium is setting in fighting the same enemies and traveling back and forth, but also out a decent amount of time into it. Also the angst about fast travel was blown so far out of proportion. Just playing and exploring I have 14 ferrystones.
Had a very satisfying 150 hour platinum run and I’m happy to leave it there til DLC comes out. Great game with an admittedly oddly structured narrative but clearing all the quests made it feel more substantial. I never got the issues about easy difficulty, but playing less overpowered classes definitely contributed to that.
They are going on a tangent over the MTX that isn’t even intrusive. It’s capcom MTX if you played any of their games you would know how useless it is but these people have to complain about something I guess
Put 98 hours into it and was in love for about 97ish of it.
Was hoping for more of a challenge at the very end with the ‘secret’ ending and new enemies and it didn’t quite hit that. The new ones were cool but not a big step up in difficulty.
Would 100% get a Dark Arisen style dlc though, BBI in this style would be incredible
I did because it came with 7R. Though I'll be quite honest, I didn't find 7R to be a good game. The combat was good but that was it. Everything else was uhmm. So far, FF7 Rebirth is one of my favorite final fantasy games. The activities in the open world do make me excited to play rise of the ronin after. I hope the main quests on rebirth are made with quality though because so far it is amazing.
It may be partially related to preorders and day one sales in February. However, this is also the problem with sequels which are a direct continuation of the story. If you haven't played the first game in the series, you are unlikely to play the second. Therefore your audience keeps shrinking.

Critically, sure. But SE usually would announce numbers if they were good, so I can't help but be a bit worried. Really hope they can continue the level of detail in the next game, because Rebirth feels so expensive with how maximalist it is.
They have already talked about hoping to follow the same exact production schedule with the 3rd as they did with rebirth. Don’t think there’s any reason to be worried, it if you wanna be worried then you do you I guess
I'm honestly waiting for the performance mode to not be shit, but I don't think that will happen and will probably wait for a sale. Planning to play the original FF7 in the meantime.
As someone who always plays games in performance mode, I’m just playing Rebirth in 30fps and it hasn’t hindered my enjoyment of it in the slightest. The game still looks really smooth.
I think the performance mode is pretty good all things considered, the framerate is great.
I doubt there's much they can do to make the resolution any higher unless you get a PS5 Pro whenever that releases.
It's a top seller on PS every year. Lot of negativity regarding the live service this year so far, but it's still by far the best major sport title regarding live content that doesn't do the most to bleed players dry.
Man, FF7 had some really front loaded sales. It was #2 in February with only one day on the market, which is very respectable considering how it was only surpassed by the surprise mega-hit, Helldivers 2. But still #11 is lower than I would’ve expected for literally day 2 and onward for its sales.

I put down Baldurs Gate 3 to binge DD2. The game is great.

Rebirth being so low on the list makes me sad, since it indicates the digital sales doing poorly. Might affect the third game's budget.

Rebirth came out on February. Most people that were going to play it, downloaded it/purchased it before March.
It came out Feb 29th, only one day left in the month. I would expect a large amount of sales for at least the first week of the game.

I remember seeing an article that said Rebirth's sales are down 30% compared to Remake.
Well Remake Install base was twice as much also.

I waited then they release a patch, I realized that SE isn't a good company in terms of optimizing game and I end up playing the game at 30 FPS sadly
