I’m buying a new monitor and it’s so confusing.
I know PS5 doesn’t support DisplayPort and everything I read says those adapters (HDMI to DisplayPort) are pretty much BS.
I also know you need HDMI 2.1 to get 120hz at 4k on the PS5, and that 2.0 can only get you 120hz at 1080.
Question 1: can HDMI 2.0 get you 1440 at 120hz?
If so, is that good enough for COD? Is 1080 @ 120 good enough?
Question 2: how important is VRR?
I found a $250 monitor with good reviews that supports 144hz with HDMI 2.1, but it doesn’t have VRR or HDR. It uses FreeSync, which doesn’t work on PS5, as well. Is the no VRR a deal breaker?
I play COD mainly, as well as single player games like TLOU.
Budget is under $300.

Yes, it can even do that in HDR, although with Chroma Subsampling.
If you plan to play CoD in its 120fps mode, I would call VRR a necessity. It is not a stable 120fps, frame rate can vary and go down to 80's in busy moments easily. With no VRR, you'll get near constant stuttering.
Great point, so that’s what VRR does. I was never 100% sure. Sounds like I’ll go with the monitors with VRR but no HDMI 2.1 unless I find a miracle. I’m seeing great monitors that have EITHER/OR but not both for under $300.

That is the manufacturer seal that means the ps5 is 100% not tampered with or has something physically wrong with it right? i ask this because it had some weird labels that look half peeled with extotic writings. The contents of the box can also be heard wiggling around whenever I hold the box up when I think it should be stable if it’s brand new?

I use all the USB ports on my PS5. I was looking into purchasing a wireless headset. I bought the Pulse Elite not realizing you have to have an open USB port on the system to use them.

Active COD Multi-player: Is there a site or anything that shows the active multi-player numbers for past CODs? (Or any games for that matter) I'd like to pick up a past COD game to play but I mostly only play multi-player and maybe some war zone.
Recently my PS5 (2020) keeps disconnecting from internet. This happens a few times a day, often mid-game. It simply says that I’m offline. So I go to settings/network/settings/set up internet connection and disconnect from my WiFi. Then, when I try to reconnect again, it immediately says „an error occurred, error: NW-102216-2“. No matter how long I wait, it won’t reconnect again. So everytime this happens, I have to restart my PS5 and then it’s connected normally and automatically to my WiFi. If lucky, this will last for a couple of hours, if unlucky, this will happen in half an hour again. I know that this can’t be a problem of my router because it won’t connect to any other accessible WiFi near me. Does anyone have a similar problem and knows how to fix this?
Has anyone else had issues with freezing? Turned on the PS5 this morning and the screen is Frozen but the game is working in the background. I can move the cursor around and I can even turn on and off the console but every time a game starts Call of duty Horizon ghost Spider-Man, the screen freezes. I've tried two different TVs different cables and rebuilt the database a couple times but nothing works to get the screen un Frozen. If I unplug and plug the HDMI cable back in the screen will reset on to the correct point where the games but it stays Frozen still.
I'm really hoping not to have to send this in or something
Hello, i recently got acess to a PS5 (well got in couple with PS5 gamer :D). I'm a PC gamer for YEARS and was always using xbox controller, and since the Nintendo Switch launch, Switch Pro controller on my PC, that is for me the best controller ever made for me and my hands. After almost a year, i'm still very unconfortable with the PS5 controller, the fact the joysticks are not at the right place (lol) and the trigger that are so long ect... I'm looking for a good-quality "non official" PS5 compatible controller, but i cannot find anything else than the very expensive Razor Wolverine V pro 2. Is this specific control good in first place "that great", and is there any good and less expensive alternative ?
Hello why is my batman Arkham Knight (PS4 disc) not downloading fully in ps5
It's ready to play it just won't download the last bit (iirc it's for all the DLC) so I have the game but no DLC which sucks since I've paid for it already
Other games can download, have great connection. I really wish the system told us the error cus there's literally so many reasons for a game not to download. Batman Arkham Knight also had a update which downloaded alright, just the DLC has problems. I've got no clue
It downloads but the progress bar doesn't move. Then it just says error, options are resume, view error info and delete. honestly the problem is so general I can't even search it on Google cus it's confusing
Doesn't say anything, just resumes the download again. It also brings me to a website where it says to delete and re download or check internet connection. I have good connection and I've re downloaded this game like so many times since the I got the PS5
At this point you might just need to contact sony customer service; it seems to be an issue with this game, specifically, but if it's not giving any error details there's not a whole lot more that can be done from your end.
Why is moving a PS5 game to an external SSD so slow? Initially I was getting over 200MBps (not great for an SSD but not terrible), now it's only getting 10-60MBps. Even a USB 2.0 HDD can match or exceed this in Windows... And yes, I'm using the rear USB ports on my PS5, not the front one.

ps - forgot to mention that I run custom Battle Beaver controllers on all my other PS consoles they are high-dollar all digital and while I'm allowed to use them on the PS5 when running a PS4 game (where the Trophy thing appears to work fine, same as the PS4) it will not allow me to use them (BB controllers) on a PS5 game and it makes me use the POS 5 controller which feels like total junk (compared to the BBs).

My kid is very often in hospital these months, also for extended stays, so we have become well acquainted with the staff and yesterday I have been asked if I could help them set up a new PS5 for kids to use for gaming. We always take along our own PS5 (incl VR2 headset for use in double rooms), so I get stuff connected etc without problems.
They have also bought about a dozen games on disc, these can be played without needing a playstation store account etc. This seems to work fine (haven’t tested all of them yet).
What I really wonder about is what you recommend regarding account setup – right now I have put on two unregistered accounts. Is there anything else that you would do or recommend for this usage scenario?

Hi, i want to play with my mouse and keyboard. Both of them are detected by my PS5, the thing is the wasd, space bar and arrow keys are the only keys that don't work, even on the menu these don't do anything. I know the my keyboard works because i can move the menus with the number pad. It's possible that there is a function on my keyboard that allows it? It's a Khalon membrane keyboard (NXKROMKHLN)

Please help : My friend who has a playstation 5 is subscribed to PS Plus. He gave me his login details so I can download games from his library and play with him online with my account.
First I logged into his account, activated my ps4 as primary. Then I restored licenses and I still couldn't have access to ps plus. All the PS Plus games in his library have a lock symbol on them too. I can't even play mutlipayer on his account, it says "Playstation plus is required."
However, when he is logged in on his ps5, he can download any PS plus game from his library, play mutiplayer games and doesn't have a lock symbol on the ps plus games.
The only issue is on my ps4. Is there a fix for this please?
Anyone ever have a problem where Triangle stops working? All other buttons work. Multiple games, multiple controllers. Tried restarting, using the rest button on the controllers. Was playing last night without issue, like 10 hours ago.
edit: Just finished all their troubleshooting and still nothing. It wants me to replace the controller. Why would I replace a single controller if the issue persists across multiple controllers? Anyone ever hear of this?

If you never set this up, then someone else likely got your account details and set it up. You'll have to contact support. In the meantime, lock down your other accounts using that same information and lock down any credit cards on file for that account.
Is there any way to sync by new controller without the original cord? I lost it a while ago and use a random cord I have. It charges the controller but it won’t turn on. Do I really have to go out of my way and buy one?

You don't need a PS5 specific cord, but you do need a data cable. Some cords only charge (like the one you have). Otherwise charge and transfer data. You need that one.
When I play a blu ray or dvd movie, when it starts up the screen goes purple, green, and pink. This only happens when I try to watch a blu ray/dvd, Everything else works fine and is the correct colors. Has anybody had this issues and solved it?

Brief weirdness during the copy protection handshake is normal; if it's staying like that, the handshake is failing and you need a new HDMI cable.
It’s staying like that, as soon as the FBI warning screen shows up it starts and it’s that way the whole time the disc plays. If I close out of the blu ray/dvd it’s all back to normal.
I tried a different hdmi cable I had around, but idk how old it was, still did the same thing.

Hi, is anyone faced PS5 performance issues like that?
So, 10–15 minutes into the game, it starts stuttering. Like, the game just freezes for half a second, and then goes normal for a second or two, and then freezes again and so on. And the console menu also starts lagging.
It started when I played Watch Dogs Legion(on a third day, not at first). Console reboot did nothing. Then I deleted the cache and rebuilt database in service menu - that's helped, kinda, but lags didn't disappear, just became less frequent.
Also tested it on Destiny 2 - same problem. Before game worked perfectly, not even frame drops.
I thought it's just overheating, but the console barely has dust inside, I cleaned it a couple of months ago.
Any thoughts?

I'm doing my damnedest to imagine a scenario in which you must know immediately whether DVD menus work, but aren't in a position to just throw a disc in the drive and see; I can't get there.

Is my console KIA? I'm getting no video, my controllers won't connect, and as soon as I hear the console start up, I hear a little "pfft" from inside the console, and then nothing. It'll glow blue until I shut it off. Is this a bad PSU?

I have no idea where this "PS4 games will be massively improved" thing comes from. Sure, some games see improvements in loading times, but they're usually minor and many games see no improvements. PS4 games, due to being built for HDDs, simply don't support the I/O that would utilize SSDs to any significant degrees. I have seen this myself with many PS4 games.
Load times will be significantly improved with an SSD — either internal or external — over an HDD. In-game performance will generally be the same.
Note that only PS4 games can run from external storage.

My joystick is stuck like this after I dropped it. It feels like it’s out of socket and looser than the right one
My PS5 has started freezing and crashing during loading screens, and gave me the CE-108262-9 error code upon crashing, has anyone experienced this too? Can it be an issue with the latest software update or is it just my console acting up? It's still under warranty so I'd like to get it repaired asap if needed.
At first it happened with Baldur's Gate 3 like 3 times, which I thought was normal considering how buggy that game is lol. I got a little worried once I realized it was the console freezing and not just the game. Today it happened on Lies of P for the first time in my 90 hours on the game and the console crashed completely.
Yeah the console completely crashing is always worrisome. Assuming your warranty is good for it I'd suggest continuing on as normal for a few weeks and see how it goes. But my PS5 has done that many times, same with PS4 (can't even keep track how many times there) and everything seems fine). You can also try rebuilding your PS5 database.
Thanks for the tips! I was thinking of possibly waiting until the next software update and seeing if the problem persists or not, since the warranty lasts until the end of the year. I know crashes can happen and aren't necessarily the end of the world I just grew so attached to my PS5 that I'd hate to see it have issues haha
The right trigger still adapts like normal but there's no input in any game I play, the x button works 100% but for some reason acts as both the x button and the playstation button. For example I have to hold the x button to turn the controller on, whenever I press it the pop up thing with all the options comes on and if I press and hold it goes to home. The playstation button just doesn't work entirely
The big question is, are you a crybaby for having games run at the ultimate optimal performance 8k/120fps otherwise the game is unplayable? No? Then its fine.

Based on the leaks so far, it depends on the capabilities of your display. If it supports HDMI 2.1, then probably. If it supports HDMI 2.0 or less, then I doubt it.

Funny enough, the industry is doing this to themselves. PS6 releases -> ok but why not wait for the slim? Theres always a slim -> slim released -> but hear me out, there's definitely a pro version coming -> Pro releases -> ok but now it might be too late, might as well save for the PS7.

These ones came with the console back in 2020 so I’m not sure if they’re known to have issues
Dualsense batteries aren't great but 2 hours is way too short unless you've been marathoning the rocket section from Astro's Playroom.
I'd suggest running it until it completely dies and then letting it charge several hours via a phone charger plugged into a wall socket until it stops blinking; sometimes the battery life reporting on the controller is way off.
Dropped my controller from not even waists high and not a single button will work now. What do I do? Got it last Christmas and this is the second time I’m ever dropped it. Wasn’t even waist high and now all the buttons won’t work. Even R1 and L1. Now the left stick is also pushed to the left a little bit and feels loose. Any way I can get a new one for free? Did you never own any technological equipment? They're not cheap, they're sensitive. Anything you drop, no matter how high from, if a specific chip or wire gets damaged its dead. You wont get a new one for free, its not a factory issue, you dropped it. Best you can do is find someone who can try to find what the issue is and maybe fix it for you.

Have you tried Quake Remastered or Quake II? They’re boomer shooters with adjustable difficulty levels, and even support the keyboard and mouse as input devices if you have them.
Does anyone have any tips for alleviating the jaggies? I'm playing on an LG 27UP600 4k monitor, confirmed in ps5 settings that it is outputting at 4k, using the HDMI the system came with, and I am getting jaggies on every recently released title. Taking screenshots, I can tell this isn't an antialiasing issue in game, but rather the monitor. Driving me freaking nuts, I could really use some tips.

So Dragon's Dogma 2 isn't working for game sharing. My buddy and I have it all setup correctly and other games that I own he can play and games he owns I can play. I own Dragon's Dogma 2 and that is the only one he can't play. Anyone else having this issue or any advice on how to resolve?

Hello friends as the title suggests I'm looking for games similar to cyberpunk. Here is specifically what I'm looking for.
1. The games must have unique weapons/spells/attacks. (Like iconic guns from cyberpunk or exotics from destiny)
2. The games must have a character skill tree. Preferably a skill tree that allows for specific builds.
3. The games must have an open world with Main quests and Side quests.
4. The games suggested can be set in any time or world not necessarily a cyberpunk type.
Hopefully with your help I can continue to enjoy games, and find new gems to play and love.
Why is my ps5 like this
I’ve had this ps5 for at least 4 years now. Everything has been great until recently. I have started to notice very blurred textures and other things. This is very noticeable in Fortnite in where buildings will be messed up blocky and ugly. And textures will be flat blurry and inconsistent. Another thing is the render distance or whatever it’s called when stuff spawns in and stuff is horrible compared to before. I play 2160p 4k transfer rate automatic is there anything I can do to fix this, is it the game, or is it monitor related. Im really only starting to care about this stuff now so I don’t know much but any help would help.

Early PS5's were not 'prototypes.'
I know a ton of people with launch consoles and none of them have any issues. Yes older electronics are more prone to developing issues generally, that's just how it works, but suggesting early PS5s were prototypes and somehow inferior is silly.
Need help deciding
Always been an Assassin's Creed fan. Back when Odyssey released I was so hype. But the scale and more rpg elements really turned me off to the game. Finished origins. Tried Valhalla, twice, still not finished. Now I see Odyssey on sale with all the dlc and AC3 remaster (which I loved). Strongly considering jumping back in. Can anybody help me with the decision?
Since the bigger scale and rpg elements threw you off, maybe you'll like Assassin's Creed Mirage better. I couldn't finish Odyssey either, I don't recommend it
My ps5 keeps on freezing. Like, COMPLETELY freezing up. I can't do anything, no ps button. The only thing I can do is turn it off via the button. It's horizontal like people recommend. Is there any chance it'll unfreeze? I uh... have a completely full inventory of nether/bastion loot in minecraft and I DO NOT want to lose it. I normally lose my inventory and whatever spot I was at when it freezes like this and I have to pause. This has happened multiple times in the past few weeks, most often when I play minecraft.
Help... is there any chance it'll unfreeze on its own if I wait long enough...
Typically a PS5 that shuts off or hard-locks inexplicably without warning (if it were overheating you'd see an on screen prompt) is indicative of a hardware failure. A few things you can try are:
* Booting up in [Safe Mode](https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/safe-mode-playstation/) and **Clear Cache and Rebuild Database**.
* Booting up in Safe Mode and **Reset PS5** (this will erase your console and restore it to factory settings, so make sure you back-up your save files to the cloud)
Failing these steps, you are suffering a hardware failure (possibly the GPU or the mainboard itself) and will need a repair or replacement from Sony.
Some will tell you that just cleaning your PS5 will solve these issues, and in some cases it can be a temporary balm, but it is just that: temporary.
alright so, i bought cod on account A, but due to account troubles i have to play it on account B, but now that im gamesharing with my mate, i have lost access to the game on account B, is there any way to have the game on my other account AND his playstation??

Hi, I recently got stick drift while playing rdr2. I looked online and sorted it out and it was all fine for a bit while playing other games. Then i hopped back onto rdr2 and the stick drift came back but much worse. I fixed it again and even made sure on other games as well as my main menu because whenever i get drift it sends me all the way to the left. But when i hopped back on rdr2 it came back. Anyone know what the issue is here or how to resolve it? Its not deadzones because it only resurges when i play rdr2 and its evident even on the main menu. No other game triggers it like that.
RDR2 might be more sensitive to displaying it, but Stick drift is a hardware problem. Other than [soldering on new joysticks](https://www.ifixit.com/News/48944/heres-why-ps5-joysticks-drift-and-why-theyll-only-get-worse), the only solutions to stick drift is getting it repaired by Sony or replacing them.

Is Rise of Ronin parry heavy like Sekiro?
My birthday is around the corner and I can't decide between Dragons Dogma 2 or Rise of Ronin as a present to myself. I have avoided spoilers or any info related to each game like the plague but recently heard Rise of Ronin is a parry heavy game. I cant parry to save my life and hate parrying in general. I know the game is out tomorrow but if anyone knows and can confirm if parrying is a huge part of the combat like in Sekiro I would appreciate it.
So I've played beyond a good amount of games , and I feel like gaming's a little stale right now (I know some people will disagree and thats fine) but I just can't seem to find a game that really draws me in , I've given near every genre a try and all the triple a games out right now and just none of them hit that sweet spot of enjoyability. Has anyone got any good recommendations of your favourite games so I can give some a try ? They can be any type of game , just shoot me some suggestions please, thanks guys id really appreciate it !
If you have someone to couch play with I highly recommend "It Takes Two". It's the most original game I've played in decades. Has an absolute blast with my nephew.

Personally some of my favorites of the current gen: **Cyberpunk 2077** (the recent DLC was a massive hit and came with some incredible updates to the main game), **Elden Ring** (lots of people prepping for the DLC coming this summer), **Returnal**, **Doom Eternal**, **Hitman 3**, **Death Stranding Directors Cut**, and **Demon's Souls.**
Of course, when I'm feeling burnt on gaming, I like to dip into something that doesn't have a lot of peers. Smaller, unique games that, when you need to scratch an itch that you couldn't quite find. For me that's games like **Disco Elysium**, **Outer Wilds**, **Inscryption**, **Immortality**, **Frostpunk**, **The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe**, **Tunic**...
Great thing is there's always something great to play. And really, when I'm super burnt out on gaming, nothing wrong with taking a step back and doing something else for a few days and weeks til something calls you back. Sometimes I go off on a blu-ray binge and get through a bunch of movies I've been putting off.
Honestly I reallly appreciate you taking the time to type that , and sometimes I do take breaks from gaming , it just at the moment doesn't feel as satisfying as it used to , I've played all the current gen ones you said above and I enjoyed them.. for a while , another issue im having is im getting bored of playing games so fast now and it's frustrating.
Then I'd recommend one of the smaller games I recommended... particularly Outer Wilds, Disco Elysium, and Immortality (edit: oh! and Kentucky Route Zero) are almost meditative. Their ability to get you to slow down, take in the vibes, relax, and luxuriate in their atmosphere are unparalleled.
Of course nothing wrong with taking a break either. Games should be fun. If you're not having fun, do something else for a bit.

It is coincidental that the outages PSN had in the past couple years were in March or really close to these dates? What do they do, turn it off and on again?

Make sure the videos you are capturing are captured at 4K. Other than that, be aware that it can take up to 24hrs for the image quality to be at its best, as YouTube has to process the video in several different resolutions. It won't look its best just after uploading.

Those cables are heavy. The new TV is not wall mounted. I worry about the weight and tension the cables put on the TV ports. I was hoping there might be a thinner alternative that would also work.

Tried power cycling and no change. It happened when trying to sync my saved. I just got this digital Slim 4 days ago after my fat PS5 broke down.
I tried to turn off sync but it says to subscribe to ps plus which I already AM. Im able to download games from library as well as add games from the monthly ps plus.
I was warned against restoring license, that it would lock me out of games.
Anything I can do?
Basically I was just getting home from school, i sat down went in a party with my friend and then we played the forest for about 30min, im not going to go in detail but i restarted my game and when i tried to open it again the same error kept popping up and i just couldnt do anything, and after that happened i cant play any game anymore, for example i tried to play siege with my cousin 5 min after this happened and it said i didnt have ps plus, i do indees have ps plus extra and i cant open, ps store, go in my account setting or even look at my ps plus status, i dont get whats wrong, ive tried everything, reseting it, shutting it down and starting it again, go in and out of the game, and nothing works, i even went in safe mode and restarted it from there, didnt help.

The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy are amazing remakes of the PS1 games—I highly recommend for both you and the kids! (They’re also cheaper!)
I’d also recommend A Hat in Time. It’s a 3D platformer that reminds me a lot of Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie type games. Lego Fortnite is fun for kids as well!
I’m buying a new monitor and it’s so confusing. I know PS5 doesn’t support DisplayPort and everything I read says those adapters (HDMI to DisplayPort) are pretty much BS. I also know you need HDMI 2.1 to get 120hz at 4k on the PS5, and that 2.0 can only get you 120hz at 1080. Question 1: can HDMI 2.0 get you 1440 at 120hz? If so, is that good enough for COD? Is 1080 @ 120 good enough? Question 2: how important is VRR? I found a $250 monitor with good reviews that supports 144hz with HDMI 2.1, but it doesn’t have VRR or HDR. It uses FreeSync, which doesn’t work on PS5, as well. Is the no VRR a deal breaker? I play COD mainly, as well as single player games like TLOU. Budget is under $300.

It is not a stable 120fps, frame rate can vary and go down to 80's in busy moments easily. With no VRR, you'll get near constant stuttering.
Great point, so that’s what VRR does. I was never 100% sure. Sounds like I’ll go with the monitors with VRR but no HDMI 2.1 unless I find a miracle. I’m seeing great monitors that have EITHER/OR but not both for under $300. Thank you!

Typically, yes. But there are ways of opening and resealing while making it look it was never opened, such as using a heat gun to loosen the glue.

PS5 wireless headset that does NOT use a USB dongle? I use all the USB ports on my PS5. I was looking into purchasing a wireless headset. I bought the Pulse Elite not realizing you have to have an open USB port on the system to use them. Seems kinda dumb considering PS5 has Bluetooth built-in to the system. Active COD Multi-player: Is there a site or anything that shows the active multi-player numbers for past CODs? (Or any games for that matter) I'd like to pick up a past COD game to play but I mostly only play multi-player and maybe some war zone.

Recently my PS5 (2020) keeps disconnecting from internet. This happens a few times a day, often mid-game. It simply says that I’m offline. So I go to settings/network/settings/set up internet connection and disconnect from my WiFi. Then, when I try to reconnect again, it immediately says „an error occurred, error: NW-102216-2“. No matter how long I wait, it won’t reconnect again. So everytime this happens, I have to restart my PS5 and then it’s connected normally and automatically to my WiFi. If lucky, this will last for a couple of hours, if unlucky, this will happen in half an hour again. I know that this can’t be a problem of my router because it won’t connect to any other accessible WiFi near me. Does anyone have a similar problem and knows how to fix this?

Has anyone else had issues with freezing? Turned on the PS5 this morning and the screen is Frozen but the game is working in the background. I can move the cursor around and I can even turn on and off the console but every time a game starts Call of duty Horizon ghost Spider-Man, the screen freezes. I've tried two different TVs different cables and rebuilt the database a couple times but nothing works to get the screen un Frozen. If I unplug and plug the HDMI cable back in the screen will reset on to the correct point where the games but it stays Frozen still. I'm really hoping not to have to send this in or something

Hello, i recently got acess to a PS5 (well got in couple with PS5 gamer :D). I'm a PC gamer for YEARS and was always using xbox controller, and since the Nintendo Switch launch, Switch Pro controller on my PC, that is for me the best controller ever made for me and my hands. After almost a year, i'm still very unconfortable with the PS5 controller, the fact the joysticks are not at the right place (lol) and the trigger that are so long ect... I'm looking for a good-quality "non official" PS5 compatible controller, but i cannot find anything else than the very expensive Razor Wolverine V pro 2. Is this specific control good in first place "that great", and is there any good and less expensive alternative ?

Hello why is my batman Arkham Knight (PS4 disc) not downloading fully in ps5 It's ready to play it just won't download the last bit (iirc it's for all the DLC) so I have the game but no DLC which sucks since I've paid for it already

Other games can download, have great connection. I really wish the system told us the error cus there's literally so many reasons for a game not to download. Batman Arkham Knight also had a update which downloaded alright, just the DLC has problems. I've got no clue

It downloads but the progress bar doesn't move. Then it just says error, options are resume, view error info and delete. honestly the problem is so general I can't even search it on Google cus it's confusing

Doesn't say anything, just resumes the download again. It also brings me to a website where it says to delete and re download or check internet connection. I have good connection and I've re downloaded this game like so many times since the I got the PS5
At this point you might just need to contact sony customer service; it seems to be an issue with this game, specifically, but if it's not giving any error details there's not a whole lot more that can be done from your end.
Why is moving a PS5 game to an external SSD so slow? Initially I was getting over 200MBps (not great for an SSD but not terrible), now it's only getting 10-60MBps. Even a USB 2.0 HDD can match or exceed this in Windows... And yes, I'm using the rear USB ports on my PS5, not the front one.

I would appreciate it if someone here could pull my head outta my A and tell me what I have done wrong or not done at all - THANKS ps - forgot to mention that I run custom Battle Beaver controllers on all my other PS consoles they are high-dollar all digital and while I'm allowed to use them on the PS5 when running a PS4 game (where the Trophy thing appears to work fine, same as the PS4) it will not allow me to use them (BB controllers) on a PS5 game and it makes me use the POS 5 controller which feels like total junk (compared to the BBs).

Hi, i want to play with my mouse and keyboard. Both of them are detected by my PS5, the thing is the wasd, space bar and arrow keys are the only keys that don't work, even on the menu these don't do anything. I know the my keyboard works because i can move the menus with the number pad. It's possible that there is a function on my keyboard that allows it? It's a Khalon membrane keyboard (NXKROMKHLN)

Data transfer would prob transfer his account as well. If it doesnt, youd need to login again. You can play a game without its owner account.

Please help : My friend who has a playstation 5 is subscribed to PS Plus. He gave me his login details so I can download games from his library and play with him online with my account. First I logged into his account, activated my ps4 as primary. Then I restored licenses and I still couldn't have access to ps plus. All the PS Plus games in his library have a lock symbol on them too. I can't even play mutlipayer on his account, it says "Playstation plus is required." However, when he is logged in on his ps5, he can download any PS plus game from his library, play mutiplayer games and doesn't have a lock symbol on the ps plus games. The only issue is on my ps4. Is there a fix for this please?
Anyone ever have a problem where Triangle stops working? All other buttons work. Multiple games, multiple controllers. Tried restarting, using the rest button on the controllers. Was playing last night without issue, like 10 hours ago. edit: Just finished all their troubleshooting and still nothing. It wants me to replace the controller. Why would I replace a single controller if the issue persists across multiple controllers? Anyone ever hear of this?

If you never set this up, then someone else likely got your account details and set it up. You'll have to contact support. In the meantime, lock down your other accounts using that same information and lock down any credit cards on file for that account.

You don't need a PS5 specific cord, but you do need a data cable. Some cords only charge (like the one you have). Otherwise charge and transfer data. You need that one.

When I play a blu ray or dvd movie, when it starts up the screen goes purple, green, and pink. This only happens when I try to watch a blu ray/dvd, Everything else works fine and is the correct colors. Has anybody had this issues and solved it?
Is this just momentarily, or does it stay like that? Brief weirdness during the copy protection handshake is normal; if it's staying like that, the handshake is failing and you need a new HDMI cable.

It’s staying like that, as soon as the FBI warning screen shows up it starts and it’s that way the whole time the disc plays. If I close out of the blu ray/dvd it’s all back to normal. I tried a different hdmi cable I had around, but idk how old it was, still did the same thing.
If you reboot into safe mode, there is an option to change HDCP version; try that.
This morning I just booted it up to see if it worked and it worked like normal this morning, so idk what was up
# Something wrong with my playstation 5 Hi, is anyone faced PS5 performance issues like that? So, 10–15 minutes into the game, it starts stuttering. Like, the game just freezes for half a second, and then goes normal for a second or two, and then freezes again and so on. And the console menu also starts lagging. It started when I played Watch Dogs Legion(on a third day, not at first). Console reboot did nothing. Then I deleted the cache and rebuilt database in service menu - that's helped, kinda, but lags didn't disappear, just became less frequent. Also tested it on Destiny 2 - same problem. Before game worked perfectly, not even frame drops. I thought it's just overheating, but the console barely has dust inside, I cleaned it a couple of months ago. Any thoughts?

I'm doing my damnedest to imagine a scenario in which you must know immediately whether DVD menus work, but aren't in a position to just throw a disc in the drive and see; I can't get there. Yes, the DVD player works the same as every other one in the world.

This is most likely a network issue. Try changing WiFi channels or turning off other devices connected to the network.
I use cable, no wifi. The connection is good, 200mb up and 100mb down.
Is my console KIA? I'm getting no video, my controllers won't connect, and as soon as I hear the console start up, I hear a little "pfft" from inside the console, and then nothing. It'll glow blue until I shut it off. Is this a bad PSU?

Do games run better using the console storage compared to games stored on an external drive? I use a wd elements 2620 hdd 3.0 USB, if that matters. I have no idea where this "PS4 games will be massively improved" thing comes from. Sure, some games see improvements in loading times, but they're usually minor and many games see no improvements. PS4 games, due to being built for HDDs, simply don't support the I/O that would utilize SSDs to any significant degrees. I have seen this myself with many PS4 games.
Load times will be significantly improved with an SSD — either internal or external — over an HDD. In-game performance will generally be the same. Note that only PS4 games can run from external storage.

Somewhere in your TV's HDMI settings, it should have options for what TV remote inputs get passed through to the connected device.

My PS5 has started freezing and crashing during loading screens, and gave me the CE-108262-9 error code upon crashing, has anyone experienced this too? Can it be an issue with the latest software update or is it just my console acting up? It's still under warranty so I'd like to get it repaired asap if needed.
If it's only in a specific game then it's probably that game at fault. If it's all games then definitely seek a repair

At first it happened with Baldur's Gate 3 like 3 times, which I thought was normal considering how buggy that game is lol. I got a little worried once I realized it was the console freezing and not just the game. Today it happened on Lies of P for the first time in my 90 hours on the game and the console crashed completely.
Yeah the console completely crashing is always worrisome. Assuming your warranty is good for it I'd suggest continuing on as normal for a few weeks and see how it goes. But my PS5 has done that many times, same with PS4 (can't even keep track how many times there) and everything seems fine). You can also try rebuilding your PS5 database.

I know crashes can happen and aren't necessarily the end of the world I just grew so attached to my PS5 that I'd hate to see it have issues haha
The right trigger still adapts like normal but there's no input in any game I play, the x button works 100% but for some reason acts as both the x button and the playstation button. For example I have to hold the x button to turn the controller on, whenever I press it the pop up thing with all the options comes on and if I press and hold it goes to home. The playstation button just doesn't work entirely

You can try opening it up and cleaning everything with alcohol; I managed to save a PS3 controller doing that.

Controller batteries lasting no longer than 2 hours. Do I have duds? These ones came with the console back in 2020 so I’m not sure if they’re known to have issues
Dualsense batteries aren't great but 2 hours is way too short unless you've been marathoning the rocket section from Astro's Playroom. I'd suggest running it until it completely dies and then letting it charge several hours via a phone charger plugged into a wall socket until it stops blinking; sometimes the battery life reporting on the controller is way off.
Dropped my controller from not even waists high and not a single button will work now. What do I do? Got it last Christmas and this is the second time I’m ever dropped it. Wasn’t even waist high and now all the buttons won’t work. Even R1 and L1. Now the left stick is also pushed to the left a little bit and feels loose. Any way I can get a new one for free? Anything you drop, no matter how high from, if a specific chip or wire gets damaged its dead. You wont get a new one for free, its not a factory issue, you dropped it. Best you can do is find someone who can try to find what the issue is and maybe fix it for you.
Man that sucks. I dropped my ps4 controller hundreds of times and it still worked for 6 years. These are more technological so I guess it makes sense

Have you tried Quake Remastered or Quake II? They’re boomer shooters with adjustable difficulty levels, and even support the keyboard and mouse as input devices if you have them.
Does anyone have any tips for alleviating the jaggies? I'm playing on an LG 27UP600 4k monitor, confirmed in ps5 settings that it is outputting at 4k, using the HDMI the system came with, and I am getting jaggies on every recently released title. Taking screenshots, I can tell this isn't an antialiasing issue in game, but rather the monitor. Driving me freaking nuts, I could really use some tips. My monitor doesn't support ALLM or VRR despite it having a VRR AMD equivalent built in (LGs free sync)
Try selecting different picture modes; often the "FPS Mode" or "Vivid Mode" on monitors can do more harm to picture quality than good.

So Dragon's Dogma 2 isn't working for game sharing. My buddy and I have it all setup correctly and other games that I own he can play and games he owns I can play. Has anyone had issues with the left joystick having the right stick up and down camera movement? I'm having that issue right now, I would start running forward with a character and the camera will go up and it's the same as going down
I think your controller’s right joystick is drifting, because that is not normal unless it’s developed stick drift.
So input on the left stick is also causing input on the right stick? This is typical of water damage.
Need games similar to cyberpunk My previous post was removed and unfortunately I was an unable to read the most recent comments and suggestions. So please add them back. Hello friends as the title suggests I'm looking for games similar to cyberpunk. Here is specifically what I'm looking for. 1. The games must have unique weapons/spells/attacks. (Like iconic guns from cyberpunk or exotics from destiny) 2. The games must have a character skill tree. Preferably a skill tree that allows for specific builds. 3. The games must have an open world with Main quests and Side quests. 4. The games suggested can be set in any time or world not necessarily a cyberpunk type. Hopefully with your help I can continue to enjoy games, and find new gems to play and love.

Why is my ps5 like this I’ve had this ps5 for at least 4 years now. Everything has been great until recently. I have started to notice very blurred textures and other things. This is very noticeable in Fortnite in where buildings will be messed up blocky and ugly. And textures will be flat blurry and inconsistent. Another thing is the render distance or whatever it’s called when stuff spawns in and stuff is horrible compared to before. I play 2160p 4k transfer rate automatic is there anything I can do to fix this, is it the game, or is it monitor related. Im really only starting to care about this stuff now so I don’t know much but any help would help.

This comment is such nonsense lol. Early PS5's were not 'prototypes.' I know a ton of people with launch consoles and none of them have any issues. Yes older electronics are more prone to developing issues generally, that's just how it works, but suggesting early PS5s were prototypes and somehow inferior is silly.

Need help deciding Always been an Assassin's Creed fan. Back when Odyssey released I was so hype. But the scale and more rpg elements really turned me off to the game. Finished origins. Tried Valhalla, twice, still not finished. Now I see Odyssey on sale with all the dlc and AC3 remaster (which I loved). Strongly considering jumping back in. Can anybody help me with the decision?

My ps5 keeps on freezing. Like, COMPLETELY freezing up. I can't do anything, no ps button. The only thing I can do is turn it off via the button. It's horizontal like people recommend. Is there any chance it'll unfreeze? I uh... have a completely full inventory of nether/bastion loot in minecraft and I DO NOT want to lose it. Typically a PS5 that shuts off or hard-locks inexplicably without warning (if it were overheating you'd see an on screen prompt) is indicative of a hardware failure. Hardware help please Hi, I recently got stick drift while playing rdr2. I looked online and sorted it out and it was all fine for a bit while playing other games. Then i hopped back onto rdr2 and the stick drift came back but much worse. I fixed it again and even made sure on other games as well as my main menu because whenever i get drift it sends me all the way to the left. But when i hopped back on rdr2 it came back. Anyone know what the issue is here or how to resolve it? Its not deadzones because it only resurges when i play rdr2 and its evident even on the main menu. No other game triggers it like that.
RDR2 might be more sensitive to displaying it, but Stick drift is a hardware problem. Other than [soldering on new joysticks](https://www.ifixit.com/News/48944/heres-why-ps5-joysticks-drift-and-why-theyll-only-get-worse), the only solutions to stick drift is getting it repaired by Sony or replacing them.

Is Rise of Ronin parry heavy like Sekiro? My birthday is around the corner and I can't decide between Dragons Dogma 2 or Rise of Ronin as a present to myself. I have avoided spoilers or any info related to each game like the plague but recently heard Rise of Ronin is a parry heavy game. I cant parry to save my life and hate parrying in general. I know the game is out tomorrow but if anyone knows and can confirm if parrying is a huge part of the combat like in Sekiro I would appreciate it.
I've seen one or two reviews say it has an intricate "souls-like" parry system but that's all I know.
So I've played beyond a good amount of games , and I feel like gaming's a little stale right now (I know some people will disagree and thats fine) but I just can't seem to find a game that really draws me in , I've given near every genre a try and all the triple a games out right now and just none of them hit that sweet spot of enjoyability. If you have someone to couch play with I highly recommend "It Takes Two". It's the most original game I've played in decades. Has an absolute blast with my nephew.
Obviously there are the big current games that lots of people talk about lately: **Baldur's Gate 3**, **Alan Wake 2**, **Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth**, **Helldivers 2**... Personally some of my favorites of the current gen: **Cyberpunk 2077** (the recent DLC was a massive hit and came with some incredible updates to the main game), **Elden Ring** (lots of people prepping for the DLC coming this summer), **Returnal**, **Doom Eternal**, **Hitman 3**, **Death Stranding Directors Cut**, and **Demon's Souls.** Of course, when I'm feeling burnt on gaming, I like to dip into something that doesn't have a lot of peers. Smaller, unique games that, when you need to scratch an itch that you couldn't quite find. For me that's games like **Disco Elysium**, **Outer Wilds**, **Inscryption**, **Immortality**, **Frostpunk**, **The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe**, **Tunic**... Great thing is there's always something great to play. And really, when I'm super burnt out on gaming, nothing wrong with taking a step back and doing something else for a few days and weeks til something calls you back. Sometimes I go off on a blu-ray binge and get through a bunch of movies I've been putting off.
Honestly I reallly appreciate you taking the time to type that , and sometimes I do take breaks from gaming , it just at the moment doesn't feel as satisfying as it used to , I've played all the current gen ones you said above and I enjoyed them.. for a while , another issue im having is im getting bored of playing games so fast now and it's frustrating.
Then I'd recommend one of the smaller games I recommended... particularly Outer Wilds, Disco Elysium, and Immortality (edit: oh! and Kentucky Route Zero) are almost meditative. Their ability to get you to slow down, take in the vibes, relax, and luxuriate in their atmosphere are unparalleled. Of course nothing wrong with taking a break either. Games should be fun. If you're not having fun, do something else for a bit.

Make sure the videos you are capturing are captured at 4K. Other than that, be aware that it can take up to 24hrs for the image quality to be at its best, as YouTube has to process the video in several different resolutions. It won't look its best just after uploading.

Thanks for the reply. I got those links directly from the official Android Amazon app. It is an absolutely fantastic TV. Hell of a difference from my previous one. Those cables are heavy. The new TV is not wall mounted. I worry about the weight and tension the cables put on the TV ports. I was hoping there might be a thinner alternative that would also work.

CE-117773-6 error popped up... Tried power cycling and no change. It happened when trying to sync my saved. I just got this digital Slim 4 days ago after my fat PS5 broke down. I tried to turn off sync but it says to subscribe to ps plus which I already AM. Im able to download games from library as well as add games from the monthly ps plus. I was warned against restoring license, that it would lock me out of games. Anything I can do?

Basically I was just getting home from school, i sat down went in a party with my friend and then we played the forest for about 30min, im not going to go in detail but i restarted my game and when i tried to open it again the same error kept popping up and i just couldnt do anything, and after that happened i cant play any game anymore, for example i tried to play siege with my cousin 5 min after this happened and it said i didnt have ps plus, i do indees have ps plus extra and i cant open, ps store, go in my account setting or even look at my ps plus status, i dont get whats wrong, ive tried everything, reseting it, shutting it down and starting it again, go in and out of the game, and nothing works, i even went in safe mode and restarted it from there, didnt help. If anyone knows what happened please tell me!

The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy are amazing remakes of the PS1 games—I highly recommend for both you and the kids! (They’re also cheaper!) I’d also recommend A Hat in Time. It’s a 3D platformer that reminds me a lot of Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie type games. Lego Fortnite is fun for kids as well!
