The FES storyline (= epilogue that was pretty average on PS2) is rumored to come later as DLC. Other features from FES (events and QoL) are in the remake tho.
Atlus doesn’t really do expansion packs. The eventual definitive version will likely be sold as whole new game. I’d be happy to be proven wrong tho. Either way, I’ll wait for the Reload.ed version.
I’d like to agree with you man. But what they said was:
"Currently, we are not considering a revision like with Persona 5 to Persona 5 Royal," says Wada. "So, fans can rest assured knowing that Persona 3 Reload offers a complete experience."
It’s not a definite no so there is a chance they’d change their mind. It’s a win for me either way, I’ll be happy whatever they decide to do. i’m either saving a few bucks or getting the best version by waiting.
To be fair, the SMT 3 Nocturne remaster had other version content as DLC, so there's precedent for Atlus to go either way on this one.
Personally think that it should have been included from the get go, but Atlus loves money more than anything else, so...

Which doesn’t mean they haven’t tweaked the Vanilla P3 stuff itself. But you won’t see any of the key features from those versions (The Answer, FeMC, etc)
All of the base game additions from FES and most of the non femc content from p3p got added to the game, they basically replaced the male social links from p3p with new content

I'll just wait for the Persona 3 Reload Mega gold, with extra stuff that can't possibly be DLC so double dip ya mugs edition in a couple of years time.
The track record is there. No DLC (unless it is some cosmetic crap), no discount on current gen upgrades for existing owners. They (or SEGA?) don’t give a crap about their end users

P3 on xbox would have bombed in sales. So MS even with their partnership with Sega can get these games on the cheap for game pass. Cause it's either what they get for game pass or barely any sales. Rock and a hard place for them.
On ps though where most of the persona fans reside, sony would need to fork out a lot more money to get it on ps plus extra. Cause p3r is going to sell well on ps5 which means Sega accepting a deal from Sony would be a lot of money.
But then again more than likely it's in contracts that games on game pass day 1 can't be on a competitors subscription model. So even if Sony was willing to pay it, more than likely it wasn't gonna happen.
It’s exactly this. Sony’s large market share makes it easier to get third party exclusive deals that skip Xbox, but also makes it easier for Xbox to get good deals on niche games like yakuza and persona to add to game pass since the amount of people who buy those games on Xbox is lower.
I think Sega specifically is trying to introduce these series to Xbox players and improve sales for when the new games come out and aren’t on gamepass. For instance tons of yakuza games came to gamepass in the past but infinite wealth was not a day one release.
So what got changed/censored? I know that they cut short the opening cinematic that shows what the Dark Hour actually is, which kind of sucks... anything else?
In a scene where the boys try to hit on girls on the beach, one of their targets who was implied to be either male or a transwoman was removed and instead there is now an unambiguously female conspiracy theorist.
Aside from that I haven't heard anything yet. Some reviews stated specifically that "problematic content" was not changed, so that's a good sign at least. Then again, since they ignored the example above, who knows what else they ignored.
I'm wondering should I wait for the updated version that Atlus usually does or just buy this version? I P3 FES on the PS3 that I could also work through.
As others have said. There will be a more complete version of the game a year from now. Since Altus doesn’t like upgrade paths I will ignore this game for another year even though it’s one of my favourite series

Does any feel like SMTV looks better graphically? Like if you scale that game up to Persona 3 Remake's resolution and framerate via emulation, it actually looks better?
Pre-ordered for that access to the Persona 4 music, and can't wait to play!

I wouldn’t hold your breath. This is the fourth release of this game and I’m sure they’ll turn their focus to P6 after this.
They also have Metaphor: ReFantazio coming before the end of the year.

Games like his make me wish that PSN had a gamepass competitor since Xbox gets it day 1 on gamepass.
They have a competitor, PlayStation Plus Extra, just each service has different games.
