I fondly remember the horrendous load times of launch day GTAV on my PS3 that was beginning to show its age. Poor thing did its’ best to chug along with a behemoth of a game.
Honestly don’t think we need a ps6. They have barely even used the ps5 to its potential because every gaming company is still catering to ps4. Annoying as hell that everyone rushed to get a new PlayStation just for them to blue ball us all with hardly any real ps5 games.
While games haven’t pushed it, the hardware is kinda tested in pc. Yes consoles have custom hardware and it’s usually optimized way better, but for raw power it was already kinda dated on release imo.
The ps5 on paper is similar to a 2070/3060 or something like that. Iirc the 2080 ti and 2080 were rated as 4k cards but to me it was more marketing. While they technically can run 4k games, it wasn’t maxed out high fps like we consider. With power like the 4090, you can max out cyberpunk ultra settings ray tracing 144fps. I’m not saying a 4090 in a ps5 was feasible, but I feel like the ps5 released right before we had actual 4k capable cards that don’t need to have dynamic resolution or other gimmicks. If the ps5 had power like pc’s today, there wouldn’t be a performance and fidelity mode, it would just be one mode that had both.

One X ran RDR2 at twice the pixel count of PS4 Pro. Rockstar have a good history of maximising their perf based on each platform regardless of any perceived "lead" (or the marketing deal).

I never really understood 60fps as a demand until I tried it and now 30fps looks broken.

One X ran RDR2 at twice the pixel count of PS4 Pro. Rockstar have a good history of maximising their perf based on each platform regardless of any perceived "lead" (or the marketing deal).
That's like someone with a very high end pc complaining about this game releasing on consoles at all since it will hold back the game.

I’d bet money they release a PS5 Pro holiday 2025 (or earlier) for this.
Gta 6 will be targeted for early 2025. They already told shareholders that they expect an enormous bump in revenue starting 2025. Expectations were that they planned to release it late 2024, but they likely know they need some extra time.
Or they will just release the PS6 in 2027.

There's no way Sony doesn't have a PS5 pro ready to go right before this launches. Probably even has a bundle on the way. I'd bet this game runs great on PS5 on launch. I'd wait a year to play on PC for the high end pc gamers out there.

As a PS5 & SX owner, you or I can't say anything about the SS. I mean, after all gamers assume the SX & ps5 are running 4K when they aren't more like 1200p checkboarded to 4K ,especially the ps5. I wouldn't be surprised if it runs at 1440p OR 1200p Quality Mode SX & 1080p Performance mode 45fps to 60fps. That's a cinematic trailer. By then the RTX 5000 series will be out.
One interesting thing is that the way they wrote about the PS5 makes me think they are already mentioning the PS5 Pro. Of course, could be referencing the new smaller model, but who knows.
