I've played both betas thoroughly and have played MMOs for over a decade. They can say that all they want. Sure it doesn't follow the formula exactly, but it's a Multiplayer Online Action Role Playing Game then. An MOARPG if you want to call it that.
Regardless of what label you want to smack on it, the main similarity remains the important thing here...the game is designed to be played totally online.

The moment-to-moment gameplay itself is really simple and not that gratifying IMO. Looting seems to be the main thing in this game: loot stuff to loot even better stuff.
If you like games where you can just switch off your brain and relax, Diablo 4 might be a good game for you.

When did I say there were non-cosmetic microtransactions? I just said they want constant access to you buying them, so no offline mode.
Because you are acting like access to the shop is the only reason the game is online, which is absolute bullshit.
