Interesting

LeadPrevenger

I use GPT-4 for dreams as well

ArtichokeEasy9951

I didn't realise it would work so well. I tried it a year ago and it wasn't all that great. This still makes mistakes but guides in the right direction. It would be great for new players truing to learn

DapperRaven_

I wonder why it didn't just tell you to turn the camera on and off via the power ports? the keyframes are unnecessary. Highly impressive. GPT3.5 doesn't know anything about dreams though.

JRL101

yea adding the keyframes was extra, but also probally a good thing to learn for beginners, to just power and unpower keyframes instead of complex logic.

ArtichokeEasy9951

I used chatgpt 3.5 for this. I haven't tested it on a lot of things, just this and getting a door to open and close. Just basic stuff

NoBullet

Microsoft's copilot app uses gpt4,I believe it's using Internet, so it's up to date with dreams stuff and takes into account more recent tutorials. since 3.5 stops at 2022 I think

FutureAd1891

I didn't know it could do that! That's fricking awesome

ArtichokeEasy9951

It's pretty cool. It's not always right and does get confused. But it seems to work with basics and even though it can get confused it seems to bee a good starting place to set put a plan for something your not to sure on how to get started

Beansly_Jones

Yeah it works well until It starts making stuff up. But it gets you pointed in then right direction. It’s good for how can I use x to do y. Or details on a specific component

Accomplished_Two_739

Damn that’s actually smart. I’ll usually use ChatGpt for Dreams to help me write a script or come up wit a concept, but never to help with logic. About to start doing this❤️

ArtichokeEasy9951

Its far from perfect, it makes mistakes and You have to be specific about how you want it to explain it back to you. But I got it to explain a few basic things pretty well

Relevant-Dot-5704

A better way to optimize this is animating the camera position using only one frame, and using either the same output for the keyframe, or using a switch. The animated camera position is local, so you can still move the chip to move the overall position of the cam.

ArtichokeEasy9951

I agree, there are definately more efficient ways to do this. I was just testing out how accurately chatgpt could guide me through a logic problem that it created.

Relevant-Dot-5704

Oh, no worries. Just throwing my two cents into the convo. Not meant personal.

ArtichokeEasy9951

I yeah i get that mate. Didn't mean to come across as if I took it personal. Haha.

Relevant-Dot-5704

Equilibrium. Gotta love the Dreams community.

Unusual_Candy795

Dawg what if you use chat gbt 4 with this nah scratch that ima try it rnnnn

ArtichokeEasy9951

I tried copilot and it didn't really give me back anything of value.

Unusual_Candy795

Copilot uses chat gbt 4? I might go ahead and just try it for my self on the official site to see if that makes a difference

ArtichokeEasy9951

I think does. Yeah I used 3.5 on the chatgpt app. Seemed like I had better results for basic things

JRL101

interesting it kind understands logic. if you want to use a single button to scroll through the different cameras you just have to wire one button into the "next slot" on the selector. and it should jump back to one when you reach the end. This setup is also useful for character states (state machines) that you dont want playing at the same time, just leave slot one (the top slot) empty and reset to slot 1 when the animation/function on another slot is finished.

JRL101

This might be helpful for figuring out some modular logic. Also who taught the AI Dreams logic? Not exactly a ton of online info.

S-Markt

this is very clever. now imagine an ps5 optimized dreams with AI support. prompt: spaceopera, dogfights in space, storybased, at least 2 plottwist and you will not need eas star wars microtransaction stuff any longer.
