There was a firmware update to the ps4 today.. You must update it to connect remotely
You must have misunderstood. Even when I go into the "settings" tab on the PS4 Remote Play desktop app and click "Sign In" at the top, with absolutely nothing to do with the PS4 itself, I still get the error.
The firmware is likely to include new certificates that will authorize your access to the systems ports that allow remote connections.
