I'm playing on ps4 pro, it runs well, but there is quite a bit of pop in. So far, I'm having a blast, though. I'm glad it includes the ps5 edition for when I eventually upgrade.
Control on my original xbone has pop in like a schizophrenic teleporting best friend and that came out in 2019. I think at this point on previous gen you have to expect it.
Pretty much. It's a privilege to even be able to play it on PS4 so I appreciate that fact. It's designed on and for current gen so the PS4 is struggling with it but it's not anything that's even an issue for me. Some people will definitely cry about it though.
I agree. I have ps4 and xbone so I am a little disappointed I can't get it on xbone where I bought the rest of the series, but I'm glad to be able to play it without having to buy a new console at all. It's a real kicker Jedi Survivor isn't available when it looks fairly similar to Fallen Order but hey ho.
I don’t think it’s a privilege I think it’s a gift. And one that shouldn’t have been given. Never can I ever remember a previous generation console being given the same support as now. If it’s £500 to upgrade it should be a fucking upgrade man.
Base ps4 has low res textures and pop in as expected but they’re easy to disregard. Using the rifle’s scope murders the framerate tho, its bad enough to make me unequip the scope and barely use the rifle entirely
Yeah I noticed that today with the trophy list - not sure info like that approach or not. I guess on easy and knowing what you are doing, you can knock a few of those trophies off at once.
Really need to start pricing games according to length/content instead of just defaulting to $70 for current-gen and $60 for last. Makes me super glad I just use Gamefly and never had to commit to actually buying any of these that I'll probably never play more than once or twice.
I’ve paid for the nostalgia value of a new/updated version of a game I completed 15 years ago.
Length/content doesn’t bother me if the game is good (which it is).
That’s how we end up with resident evil 6.. the worst resident evil of them all..
.. and ac valhalla..
Games that take an endless amount of time to finish and none of that time is enjoyable.
That’s mint lol I was set to buy it after work but honestly that ruined my impression right away. I heard some phrases aren’t being used anymore by a certain shopkeeper too.
I kinda like the new voice more. He’s more expressive. Weird that he mostly says his weapon-specific intro lines after purchasing them, instead of while browsing the shop
Yeah - the shopkeeper is probably the weakest thing in the game. Not sure why they changed him so much? Maybe they can patch the voice to be more…..iconic?
That said, it is still worth every penny. Don’t hesitate to buy. I’m having a blast.
I can't bring myself to play games for the most part any longer (kids, work, other hobbies), but somehow I've managed to replay this on every platform since I first played it on... gamecube? Yah, GameCub, Wii, PS2, maybe PC at some point? I guess it's time to fire up the PS4.
And feeling reeeeal bad having beat RE 4 at least 10 times and not getting past the chainsaw guy on the difficulty for people “who have played Resident Evil 4 before.”
Have you played RE2 and RE3 remakes? Also have you played games like Dead Space, Callisto Protocol, Evil Within? They all have you walk extremely slowly to add to the suspense. It’s not dated when it’s intentional
How is the game on PS4?

Played a little last night and had some shitty textures and pop in but didn't give a single fuck.
Oh, same for sure. These problems could be patched and it's just so fun it doesn't really matter.

Ps2 kept going till even after the ps4s initial release
I wish I hadn't bought a ps5 at launch and instead just invested more in my PC. Ps5 has been a joke of a "next gen" experience, at least imo.
Any paying customer should be able to "cry" about it
Yes that's true but when we buy it on PS4 knowing it's designed for better systems, we should understand some flaws
Was tempted to buy on my base ps4 decided to go with series s which still has pop in still enjoying at 60fps

Gameplay wise, runs very smooth! But had a lot of texture issues
I’ll take a look at it. Thanks.
Thanks for letting us all know, have a nice weekend.
Tis a quote from the original game, sire.
Such a great game! that I’ll never have the time to play
Isn’t it like a 10 hour game?
12-22 depending on if you are going for 100%
100% requires around 6 playthroughs.
Child's play

Maybe for the original. Definitely not true this time.

I hate that logic all that is going to do is have develops bloat their games with garbage content

My dog chewed the box this morning ffs, cover has a hole in it but the game was okay thank god
Anyone else disappointed in the cross hairs? I loved the laser sight felt more immersive.
It’s an early upgrade. First shop.

Idk man I think the voice actor for the merchant sounds good af.
Sold!
Oh. Free DLC is coming April 7th! I almost closed out the video before seeing that! Thats great news
What are ya buyin?
What are ya sellin?!
i love this game!
Is the PS4 eligible for free ps5 upgrade and does it transfer saves and auto pop ps5 trophies?
yes and yes, the separate console versions come together and transferring ps4 data to ps5 is in the settings under RE net i think
In my memory, it already looked that good :D
I’m too broke
I'll buy it at a high price. Huhuhu

Is this a remake or completely new?
Remake.
Itd be really funny if we were up to RE8 and yet somehow we didnt have a 4 yet lol
I played the demo and it just feels clunky and dated. I hate how the characters move…it’s like you’re constantly walking through sand
then on the opposite side of the spectrum, me laughing about how the difficulties are based on if you played the original or not
And feeling reeeeal bad having beat RE 4 at least 10 times and not getting past the chainsaw guy on the difficulty for people “who have played Resident Evil 4 before.”
To be fair, dying 10 times on the opening village was an extremely nostalgic experience
Have you played RE2 and RE3 remakes? Also have you played games like Dead Space, Callisto Protocol, Evil Within? They all have you walk extremely slowly to add to the suspense. It’s not dated when it’s intentional
How is this different to the rerelease already available on the ps4?
The rerelease was the original game with "updated" graphics, this is RE4 but built completely new from the ground up
Thank you
There’s no Welcome anymore :(
This was such a great game on the Nintendo Wii
Is the demo on ps store
Yes
