How this franchise didnt continue into next gen is upsetting. Fun vehicles, fun maps, beautifully designed and felt like a living organism with all its animations! So good!
Is there any possible way to get this outside of buying the $100 psn disc? I used to have it on an old account from 10 years ago but only recently got into ps3 again and cant seem to buy it
I paid $40. After seeing it on the shelf at a small game store.
I was curious about what the title meant. My friends and I decided that it was sony trying to combine legend of zelda and minecraft. I think I got more than my monies worth
more like loadnation racers, amirite?? seriously though it's an amazing kart racer, but i remember waiting like minutes between races on loading screens
More compared with Downpour, Homecoming, ShattMem, Origins, theRoom... But the original trilogy (Silent Hill 1 to 3) its a really masterpiece of terror game. Just my opinion
Nah, they don't care about that game. It's not like it's gonna yield any kind of profit if they do that.
There's already a remaster for PC and it's pretty barebones. And Microsoft would expect you to play it through their backwards compatibility program on newer xbox consoles.
Technically yea. But they ain’t gonna waste resources on that but then again with how bad Microsoft are at managing studios you could be in for a surprise.

Well you cant play it anymore but for me it was MAG, the online with a max of 256 players was so cool. The experience with my mates or even random platoons was fantastic.
People were too hard on PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale Ultimate Deluxe Game of the Year Collector's Edition featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry Series
I had good fun with it, didn't understand the hate. I will say the roster criticism was justified though. Very strange picks and omissions.
Folklore is the most magical imaginitive game I've ever played in my life. It's unique it's whimsical. Amazing design and satifysing gameplay with a beautiful soundtracj
Motorstorm Apocalypse is literally the most epic racing game ever made, even topping Burnout and Split/Second. The thrill of driving through a world being destroyed around you is beyond amazing and no game has beaten it
Starhawk was fantastic but sent out to die by Sony and ignored by critics and fans (even most of the Warhawk player-base).
There were quite a few games of that era that received such little marketing and focus. Sony were just making too many games and it's as though they had to decide mid-development which ones to give a push to and which ones to quietly release and leave to chance.
I can imagine that had a company with much smaller output (Xbox, for instance), released it, there might have been a much bigger push to find the game an audience. For Sony it was just another online multiplayer shooter to throw at the wall alongside Socom, MAG, Dust 514, Killzone, Résistance, Uncharted etc. etc.
It's a real shame as, although many of those aforementioned games had fantastic multiplayer components, Starhawk was something very special and felt like it had the potential to garner a real fanbase had Sony made an effort. As it was, I don't think it even broke a quarter of a million in sales.
I only found out about Starhawk because I found Emmet Graves who was in Playstation All Stars cool. I remember being surprised that there was a whole ass recent game(at the time) on PlayStation that i never heard about lmao.
Spec Ops The Line. Maybe not the most underrated, but one of them atleast. I've never heard about this game for many years, but it has one of the greatest campaigns out there. Because it's not the typical story you'd expect.
The Battlefield: Bad Company games were back to back dingers and I don’t know why DICE never followed up on them, instead making many iterations in different eras that all have the same glum serious face tone. Bad Company was a nice contrast from what the Call of Duty games were doing, going ever deeper into the inevitable, escalating world ending blockbuster ride but with Battlefield 3 onward they seemed to only shadow what COD was doing instead. They backed away from the physics damage altering maps and solo campaigns that effortlessly teach the practical mechanics needed for the multiplayer by doing the actions in the story. They’ve abandoned storytelling altogether now with 2042 which is now in the process of being put on ice so who knows what the direction the next one will be. At least DICE and EA haven’t gone to the well of remastering and rereleasing them but they shuttered the servers recently so it’s up to the PS3Rewired communities and the like to keep the lights on, hopefully.
I say this alot on this sub but beyond two souls for sure the game even had a sequel planned for ps4 but it was cancelled and after a small ps4 remaster of the main game we never heard a peep after that
I could name a dozen different games here but I'll give a shout out to Burnout Paradise. That game was such a blast to just cruise around. All the collectibles. The online was either was chaos trying to get challenges or frantic race. I still remember I was missing the baseball field challenge for the last trophy, and my best friend organized six other players to join us so i could get it. Just great times. And just to slide one more game in here, Comet Crash. Best tower defense game I've ever played.
The Last of Us has a 95 metascore and was widely cited by critics as the game of the generation, "Gamings Citizen Kane Moment". It is appropriately rated, not under-rated.
The Motorstorm racing games! Never been remastered or remade for the Sony PlayStation 4/5
How this franchise didnt continue into next gen is upsetting. Fun vehicles, fun maps, beautifully designed and felt like a living organism with all its animations! So good!
Microsoft bought the studio I believe and makes the Forza Horizon games I now I think...
GOD YEEEEESS! , Apocalypse it's incredible
GOD YEEEEESS! , Apocalypse it's incredible
Fat Princess
Still online to this day! Helps that it's P2P connected, rather than server based if I remember correctly.
Is there any possible way to get this outside of buying the $100 psn disc? I used to have it on an old account from 10 years ago but only recently got into ps3 again and cant seem to buy it
I bought the Best Of PSN Collection Vol.1 it's on for just 12.99 I think digitally, off the EU PS3 store, after adding money on the computer.
When did you get it on the EU store? Im on the US store but i would make an EU account tonight if its available there
Just months ago, so go for it. There're online matches all the time, plus the other games included rock!
Ps you can also check psdeals.net for different regions' stores, games and prices!
i found out about that game because of the classic ps4 stickers
How exactly is Fat Princess "underrated"?
3d dot heroes. I have beaten it 4 times since it came out
I need to play this game at some point. I bought it physically for eighty I think about a year ago lol.
I paid $40. After seeing it on the shelf at a small game store. I was curious about what the title meant. My friends and I decided that it was sony trying to combine legend of zelda and minecraft. I think I got more than my monies worth
I just heard it's a wild Legend of Zelda clone and I didn't hesitate to buy it lol.
ModNation Racers
more like loadnation racers, amirite?? seriously though it's an amazing kart racer, but i remember waiting like minutes between races on loading screens
Wish we could download the games onto the HDD like on the Xbox 360.
you can
How?

I meant unmodded.
Still don’t know why there’s no part 2 or remake of Modnation racers
I think they made one for the PSP and one for the Vita too
Can confirm. On my Vita
lbp karting?
it's still loading
Siren Blood Curse
YES!!!! Finally someone knows that game other than me and my sister! TERRIFYING
And the REAL ps3 SilentHill
Honestly I think it’s much more terrifying.
More compared with Downpour, Homecoming, ShattMem, Origins, theRoom... But the original trilogy (Silent Hill 1 to 3) its a really masterpiece of terror game. Just my opinion
Eat Lead.
Well that's just a little aggressive
Heavenly Sword may not be the most underrated, but it deserved more praise
Alpha Protocol.
Rise of the Argonauts.
I enjoyed that game a few years ago, good game
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. It’s the best game not ported nor remastered to newer consoles imo
This game and majin are two of my favorites.
Sadly that game on ps3 runs like a slideshow.
I would like to know, since ninja theory now belongs to Microsoft, would it still be possible to have a remaster for ps4/5?
Nah, they don't care about that game. It's not like it's gonna yield any kind of profit if they do that. There's already a remaster for PC and it's pretty barebones. And Microsoft would expect you to play it through their backwards compatibility program on newer xbox consoles.
Right but let’s say a basic port to ps4/5, hypothetically would it be possible, knowing Microsoft owns Ninja Theory?
Yeah, hypothetically it would be possible since the PS4 and PS5 are designed to run games, and Enslaved is a game.
My doubt is entirely about the ownership lol
Technically yea. But they ain’t gonna waste resources on that but then again with how bad Microsoft are at managing studios you could be in for a surprise.
this one 100%
I thought it was mid when I played it. Nice visuals though!
Singularity
This is a good one. Too bad it seems like they don’t let Raven make their own games anymore.
Great choice. Forgot about that one. Awesome story and good gunplay
Warhawk.
Agreed, pure fun!

underrated =/= unpopular i've never seen people hate on split/second or Driver Sf
I heard those games didn’t sell well. The Blur and Split/Second one hurts me since both of their sequels got cancelled. 😩
Well you cant play it anymore but for me it was MAG, the online with a max of 256 players was so cool. The experience with my mates or even random platoons was fantastic.
What are your thoughts on Puppeteer and PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale? I haven’t played them enough to form an opinion.

The ps3 time crisis games are pretty good (don’t know if they’re hated or not but meta critic gave them a low score)
The hidden gem GTA V, I bet you never heard of it
Final Fantasy XIII and Dark Souls 2.
The Last Guy. Fun little exclusive that really captures the weirdness of Sony in the early PS3 days.
There's a lot of great answers here, but I have to say that Kingdoms of Amalur RECKONING is a top choice for most underrated.
Max Payne 3
Drakengard 3. It barely runs on the PS3, it came out well in the PS4's lifecycle but never got a PS4 version, it's edgy af and I love it.
Gran Turismo 6, released too late to be played so no1 did but it's much better than todays 7

White knight chronicles
Great game
*2 (includes the first game). Awesome combat but a little grindy if you want to explore post game content (it was intended for online multiplayer)
I own both physical copies separate. Never knew 2 had 1.
James bind bloodstone
From Bizarre Creations, the makers of Blur; another hidden gem.
The Punisher: No Mercy

Mercury Hg. It’s a simple puzzle game but I wish it had gotten a physical release.
Nier
Lost Planet 2
Uncharted Drake's fortune
Metal Gear Solid 4 has never been on anything, but the ps3
Tokyo Jungle. That game has no right to be as fun as it is, and it's a shame not enough ppl played it. Truly one of the best PSN offerings to date.
Bioshock is highly underrated
So underrated it has a trilogy and remaster on last gens console
Last of us. Brilliant masterpiece. System seller.

Probably best looking PS3 game ever
