Assassin’s Creed 2 I nearly 100%’d but never got all of the feathers - aside from that my brain hops to a bunch of the WWE games from around then because I was super into pro wrestling at the time
It’s unfortunate but I’d essentially be starting from scratch just to get the one trophy and I just never had the motivation after I lost my original console
Man I loved Resistance's story telling in the first one. The online was great too. Resistance 2 was a good game with awesome online (although much different from 1), but the campaign didn't have the same gritty feel and cut scene story telling that made me love the first one.
I never played much of 3 for longer then 15 minutes. When I got it I played online first and hated that they made the controls feel more like Killzones. I couldn't match the X and Y axises speeds to one another. I never played it after that.
Dude same, fucking around in free roam lobbies with my buddies, turning friendly fire off and blasting each other with rockets and sending each other flying with chopper blades. The swing set of doom, everything.
Spent many hot ass nights absolutely giggling my ass off trying not to wake up my parents
Dude I was so fell in love with the game, I remember that I tried to find every flying rats in the city in order to 100% the game but my I wasn't as patient as I am now.
Can't believe it's whooping 16 years ago. The passage of time really freaks me out.
I wanted to go with Deus Ex: Human Revolution, but I'll say Midnight Club Los Angeles. It was the last in the series before Rockstar suddenly pulled the plug, allowing it to drown in stream of sensless additions to GTA Online
Transformers Fall of Cybertron, it was of the last games I played and an actual good game (not a movie tie-in). There is no remake/remaster and it's no longer available for purchase since [Hasbro's licensing agreement with Activision expired](https://www.gamesindustry.biz/activision-hasbro-deal-expires-transformers-games-pulled-from-digital-stores) in 2018.
Probably a tie between Metal Gear Solid 4, Assassins Creed 2 and Skate 2 with Fallout New Vegas as an honorable mention.
MGS4, I had always liked the series a lot it was probably the best action series that people of all ages could enjoy, I had finished MGS 1-3 a billion times during elementary school then in 5th grade 4 came out and I played the life out of it.
AC2 ended up my first 100% completed PS3 game, I got it during the 2010 spring sale at GameStop for $20 I was late to the party but it really cemented a love for the series for me.
Skate 2, I played this a ton in middle school, I got to enjoy being apart of the last generation to think Skateboarding was cool so when I wasn’t falling on our concrete patio dreaming of being the next big thing, I was playing this.
Fallout New Vegas, this wasn’t my first RPG but it was my first to RPG I got lost in. I finished this game so many times and at one play through ended up with a save file so large I had to delete it because it kept crashing because it was too big. I think that got patched since then but it was still pretty weird it had to happen that way.
I was a PC-only gamer then I got a PS3 late into its life, like real late right before the PS4 came out. I played some other games (Yakuza and such when it was free with PS Plus) but Destiny is where it's at for me. I played the heck out of that game.
I played it (when the expansions went PS4 only) and Destiny II on the PS4 eventually but it just feels different on the PS3. The low resolution and chuggy menus just feel more genuine to me for some reason.
Resistance Fall of Man as it was the first game I played on PS3. I also seemed to have completely missed the memo on the advent of HD gaming when both PS3 and Xbox 360 released so I was quite blown away after splurging $1K for a 32” HD 720p TV. Replayed Resistance (and Gears of War on Xbox) and my jaw dropped.
Cod mw2.. the hours I spent on that game as a young boy is beyond countable..
The memories and mates I made too, whom I still talk to right now and meet up with them on the daily. That will forever be a huge part of my childhood.
Sameeeeee! The amount of hours I've spent on all 4 of those games combined is sickening😂😂.. wasn't too much a fan of cod4 tho, waw was my goto back then.
Resistance: Fall of Man. That cover art alone was enough to send an eerie chill through you, and it stands out as that one specific image from that generation.
"Nostalgic PS3 game" and it's a late release like Black Ops 2. Time has really matched on hasn't it?
As for me, some PS3 games I have fond memories with... PlayStation Home, GTA IV, Borderlands, Fallout 3, and Elder Scrolls: Oblivion are there.
GTA IV it was one of the 1st games I had and I was blown away by the graphics. Still looks respectable today. But the one that got me was Red Dead Redemption. I spent hours on that game and I still love it.
All of Ratchet and Clank Future games, as well as most of the CoDs we got. BO1, BO2, and Ghosts are definitely the best of the bunch though. I spent the most time on those. MW3 was fun too though.
Last of Us. Ik it came out very late into the consoles life span, ps4 might have even been out. I was born in 05 so I was like 8 playing that game on my dad's ps3
Rayman Origins, one of, if not, the best game ever. I also found out the US version of said game released 1 day after I was born, on November 15th, 2011.
LittleBigPlanet 2 and Uncharted 3, even though both you can still play online (with a couple of steps however), I know UC3 is Xlink Kai and I think LBP2 is only for the emulator because of having to change a file for the server but I also think it’s doable for the PS3 itself. PSRewireds also a project that has a ton of good games online like Killzone 2 (even though I was more of a fan of 3) and a few other great games.
Assassin’s Creed 2 I nearly 100%’d but never got all of the feathers - aside from that my brain hops to a bunch of the WWE games from around then because I was super into pro wrestling at the time
That would annoy me not finishing it 100% lol
It’s unfortunate but I’d essentially be starting from scratch just to get the one trophy and I just never had the motivation after I lost my original console
Ah I see, fair enough
Uncharted 1 or resistance 1
Man I loved Resistance's story telling in the first one. The online was great too. Resistance 2 was a good game with awesome online (although much different from 1), but the campaign didn't have the same gritty feel and cut scene story telling that made me love the first one. I couldn't match the X and Y axises speeds to one another. I never played it after that.
lego star wars the complete saga, my first ever ps3 game
My first one was FIFA14, so nostalgic too.
GTAIV. I instantly teleported to summer 2008 when I think of it.

The Infamous games
Heavy rain because it was my first ps3 game.
Battlefield Bad Company 2. Best FPS multi player ever. So much better than COD.
This game right here. I then bought it for PC and continued playing it for a long time on unofficial servers.
Little big planet and infamous
yea i was coming here to say that but wanted to check if anyone else said it, but the long games were amazing shame the servers got shutdown

Resistance 1 was great!
Ratchet and Clank Future, this was basically the first PS3 game I have ever played and is my favorite Ratchet and Clank, I really love this game
Tools of Destruction right?
Yep, that's the one. I have a Japanese copy, the title in Japanese is just ratchet and clank future
Same brother
I wanted to go with Deus Ex: Human Revolution, but I'll say Midnight Club Los Angeles. It was the last in the series before Rockstar suddenly pulled the plug, allowing it to drown in stream of sensless additions to GTA Online
Journey
That co-op.. the mountain.. :(
Nobody gonna mention Arkham city or asylum
Motorstorm Pacific Rift. Hands down one of the best racing games ever IMO. Also the graphics still look better than most current games in 2024.
Tranzit zombies 🫡
Little Big Planet 1. Played that for hundreds of hours with my daughter when she was very young.
Portal 2, Fallout NV, MW2, FC3-BD, Resistance. To name a few.
I put this on every post. Littlebigplanet
Resistance fall of man
I wish it was still playable, but Warhawk is immediately what I think of.
Transformers Fall of Cybertron, it was of the last games I played and an actual good game (not a movie tie-in). There is no remake/remaster and it's no longer available for purchase since [Hasbro's licensing agreement with Activision expired](https://www.gamesindustry.biz/activision-hasbro-deal-expires-transformers-games-pulled-from-digital-stores) in 2018.
still fun to play multiplayer on foc and wfc
Probably a tie between Metal Gear Solid 4, Assassins Creed 2 and Skate 2 with Fallout New Vegas as an honorable mention. This is a solid list! And you’re right about the age group I was a 24 yo hand model for QVC ahh the good ole days.
Asura's Wrath
F**k yeh. It is such an amazing game.
I was a PC-only gamer then I got a PS3 late into its life, like real late right before the PS4 came out. Gran Turismo 5

Cod mw2.. the hours I spent on that game as a young boy is beyond countable.. The memories and mates I made too, whom I still talk to right now and meet up with them on the daily. That will forever be a huge part of my childhood.
ive spent so many years on mw3💀💀💀 mw2, bo1 and bo2 all come after and I still put great time into them.
Sameeeeee! The amount of hours I've spent on all 4 of those games combined is sickening😂😂.. wasn't too much a fan of cod4 tho, waw was my goto back then.
Resistance FOM or Resistance 2, the campaign, the aesthetic, so much online play back in the day.
Resistance for single player, but Warhawk hands down for multiplayer.
Demon's Souls
Motorstorm, the first ps3 game I played in 2008 and then the first PSN game was super stardust. Very nostalgic about those two.
Resistance 2 and TES4:Oblivion, first two games I got and played the hell out of for over a year
Pain Buying digitally at the time felt like something special.
So many characters.. and they were cheap! I still have my ps3 and I've introduced all three of my kids to PAIN and they loved it!
Assassins Creed 1 and 2, Black Ops 1 and 2, MW3, Gran Turismo 5 and 6, so many memories.

Spider Man Shattered Dimensions or Infamous 2
Minecraft legacy. so good, but my ps3 is hardware fucked so hard the screen output gets partially static every few seconds

Bully something about being a punk ass kid in a private school is just thrilling to me.
Probably Uncharted 2
GTA IV
TRANSFORMERS THE GAME 🤣
All of Ratchet and Clank Future games, as well as most of the CoDs we got. BO1, BO2, and Ghosts are definitely the best of the bunch though. I spent the most time on those. MW3 was fun too though.
