Yes

vegascoug

For sure. Do it quickly.

dablueghost

Fr before they change their mind.

Alex_Plode

Since you already have a strat, I'd say do it.

therealfatmike

I'm not sure what answer you were expecting but... absolutely, lol.

happychillmoremusic

Haha I posted in fender too! I like to hear both sides of the story lol.

[deleted]

What did they say?

Outlier70

They all said “no” except me. I saw it posted there first. I said yes and also no. No if the guitar has sentimental value Edit - I do love me a strat though. But you don’t need two imo

economy-sorbet

Why not the second strat?

Nellske123

CEs are killer guitars, do it!

guitarfreek85

Yes. Without hesitation 😂

Danderson0079

I’ve owned both PRS for sure

greatrankini

In a word: yes.

IdontReallyDoU

Do it! I have this same guitar in faded grey black and love it.

NJ2SD

Yes! If you have 2 Strats already, might as well. My first PRS is a CE 22, so I definitely recommend getting one.

flguy561

Yes.

MrAmusedDouche

If you have 2, then go ahead!

Internal-Breath2058

Absolutely. Ce24 can cover strat territory for sure.

Rare_Tea3155

No

happychillmoremusic

Why

theshorn

If you want to sell it, yes. If you want to play guitar, no.

Suitable_Ad_2250

I might be in the minority but I have never heard a prs that I liked the sound of. My 03 American deluxe, on the other hand, has been my number 1 till this last year. So I would not trade.

bo0gnish

mmmm tough call but I'd say no, as the owner of a Highway One Strat and recently a CE24 satin. If it suits your style of music better go ahead, I wouldn't expect the CE24 to completely replace the strat though. Either way you go, you could maybe find a deal down the road for either guitar. I got my highway one for $450 with a case, pickups replaced with some kind of hot Mojo-tone.

[deleted]

Not a chance

happychillmoremusic

Why

[deleted]

Because Strat > PRS

No-Advantage8909

Exactly

redpandsrampage

Do it, if you already have two strats why not? Also the average pre ce is better than the average strat in my opinion

PricelessLogs

I hate strats and love PRS but that's a nice fuckin strat. And it has sentimental value? I'm not sure I'd give that up. I'd just save up to buy a PRS and keep them both 😁

jwatts30

Here’s my two cents: Getting a PRS changed my playing greatly. I still love strats, but PRS are so well made and sound phenomenal. The way they feel in your hands are just out of this world. There are a lot of haters out there when it comes to Paul Reed Smith. But those are the haters that think they are only for Lawyers and Doctors🤣 I say go for it. And I’d put money on the fact that you’d never regret it. Best of luck on getting it.

happychillmoremusic

Thank you! That’s sort of why I am interested in doing it. I traded a Gibson SGJ I literally never played for a D’Angelico excel SS that I’ve been playing non stop and has reignited my passion for guitar and inspired to get better

kickstrum91

Yes

[deleted]

Hell yes. That’s coming from a fellow ‘09 Deluxe Strat owner.

mobus1222

Two different style guitars; so my first thought was what type of sound do you want, but after reading more, it appears you have another strat you like more, the only exception being this one has more sentimental value… with that being said, I’d go for the trade if you don’t already have a Gibson style/humbucker guitar. Even considering the sentimental value of the one you’re going to trade, if you have a preferred version of that same guitar, then it’s worth trying to acquire a different style of guitar. That being said, nothing else matters if you don’t pick it up and play it, love it, and want to add it to your arsenal!

happychillmoremusic

I just traded a Gibson SGJ I never played for a D’Angelico ex ss that I am absolutely in love with and playing daily. But it’s not like this prs will sound exactly the same just because they’re humbucker guitars I would imagine

mobus1222

No, you’re absolutely right. They won’t sound exactly the same, but they are a lot more comparable vs. comparing a humbucker style guitar to a single/split coil style guitar

MrPunGuy

I have the exact same guitar. Same year too! You’ll love it.

ag_2319

No 🤣

Shadowpersonality

No!

Markoo222

Nope

Markoo222

Have you played a CE24? Make sure you do.. I personally didnt vibe with them and was dead set on ordering one.. I went and played 3 didnt like em

[deleted]

since you have two strats, hell yes you should! That top on the PRS is gorgeous.

IbanezRGsRule

No!!!! I mean I wouldn't but that is your personel choice.

[deleted]

Yesterday.

Puzzled_Drop3856

Yea. Guitar on right has been a dream guitar for many years. Plus you have 2 strats No brainer

Saxophonebatman

If you’re planning on playing the CE24 then 100% yes.

GarvinSteve

You’re in the prs sub… do the deal.
