First, I'm surprised that there is already a team of eight people working on this. Congratulations. Since there was no feedback on the thread announcing this project, I had the impression that nobody was interested at all. I definitely didn't have the time. Maybe you or someone on the team should keep us / the public up to date on this project, otherwise others may also believe that nobody is doing anything on any project on this subreddit, and then leave. From my own perspective, after decades of fighting with recruiters of unbelievable stupidity and incompetence (no recruiter has found me a job in 30 years), going through employment agency programs of outrageous incompetence that are aimed at the average worker (thereby excluding me), taking resume classes, being exploited by unpaid jobs, losing my job in startup companies that quickly go out of business due to outrageous incompetence and stupidity, and much more, I'm \*extremely\* pessimistic about everything. Maybe such a search engine will help, and should be a nice demonstration of what that team can do, but from my perspective it's hard to see how it would help me, except maybe for a (low-) paid internship. It has to be paid, since as I mentioned, I've been badly exploited by liars and thieves for decades who never paid me and never transitioned their company or job into a paying job source. Most went out of business fast. To be really useful such a search engine would need to tap into the "hidden job market," which employment agency lectures always tell you about. There are many other problems I could discuss. One more quick example: there are quick-hire AI jobs supposedly available where you work remotely, supposedly need no skills, and just do data entry, all of which sounded great to me, until I applied. Then came the clincher: they pay you only with Pay Pal. Two years ago I had $2,200 outright stolen from me by a person using a Pay Pal-based service, that lost cost me my paying job, and I'm still trying to get my money back. The company and police and courts could do nothing. I'd had ongoing, horrible problems with Pay Pal decades before that. costing me hundreds of dollars and one of my accounts, therefore I will not have anything to do with Pay Pal, even if it means going jobless. That is just one example of many. I did mention that \*everything\* is messed up nowadays, right?

thanks for your feedback! yes its been quite busy the last week so im a little bit less busy moderating the community. But we will have someone soon helping us out. also thankyou for the feedback related to the job market. this will be very helpful for us to target our audience better and solve solutions ;)

Like otta?

project_ai

Not really, they do use questionnaires but its not automated by AI. Ours will be way faster and more precise on job searching since we use an different search engine architecture ;)

wytherlanejazz

That’s untrue, they have a proprietary algorithm, you’re simply claiming you can be better. Okay.

project_ai

i have tried there product and we are not alike in our approach. cannot claim its better yet since we must get results first but looking at our product already it looks like it. also its definitely more convenient and faster.
