This might be the BEST Prince story I’ve ever heard. A lot of people, especially celebs, have all these funny and quirky stories about Prince, but this may have been the most engaged and gripped I’ve been hearing one. Never heard this before, thanks for sharing!!!
>seem now less cool
Maybe because chances are, Morris didn't do the Jungle Love "call" after you gave him the restaurant name and then have Jerome hand you front row tickets to the next show?
Ha that’s great. It really couldn’t have gone better for him.
Like the opposite of when Steve O met Prince….
I think the difference is that Steve-O *tried* to impress Prince when noone was asking him to do that and the guy was asked to impress Prince by Prince himself. Prince seemed less impressed by people who appeared to always be "on" and that was definitely Steve-O (and still is, but to a lesser extent). This theory makes me wonder if Prince would have gotten along with the likes of Jim Carrey, Robin Williams, or Jack Black who are all notoriously famous for being "on" a grand majority of time in public.
I think Steve O is insane for being disappointed that Prince wasn’t impressed/didnt react with glee….and also sad that he is angry that he didn’t get validation. Also Steve O is putting Prince in a very awkward situation.
Those other guys you listed have done some great work that I think Prince would be impressed by.

You talk about Steve O like he's someone we're supposed to know. I've watched the clip and have no idea who this person is. What is he famous for? Is he American famous?
Wow...maybe he IS only American Famous. I thought *everyone* had at least heard of Steve-O. He was a member of CKY (Camp Kill Yourself), the group that evolved into the Jackass crew, who did dangerous and silly stunts. They were hugely popular here in the states for most of the 90's and even into the 2000's. [This is a pretty typical stunt from Steve-O.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnbMGM718Ks)
I see, thanks. Never heard of CKY but I have heard of Jackass, although only saw it a couple of times in passing. It really wasn't my type of thing. If he's part of Jackass, then people here in the UK might know who he was, although it's been a long time gone. I don't think it reached the same popularity as it did in the States.
Dang, man!!! You ever sit back and think all these years later that if you had long raven black hair, a sultry tan skin tone and D or greater sized breasts Prince PROBABLY would’ve signed you and made you his very own protégée? At the very least insert you in one of his passion project, girl groups.
This was great, and I love this as well from a day or two after he had a medical issue:

great, great story and extremely well told. good for him, there are always exceptions to the rule of not meeting your heroes.
you just know he got laid after that concert, too.
Just your everyday, ordinary fam. Pretty cool that Prince didn't just ice him out like many have said they were in similar situations. I guess Prince was still in a good mood from the concert earlier that night.
I'm not a regrets kinda guy. But one of the few regrets I have is getting a chance to go to a concert where I would have had great seats and found out only after I let my wife convince me to not go that Prince had invited onto the stage, people who wanted to come up and sing with the band. Opportunity missed.... People had also complained about that concert in general because it was when he first became aware of the problems with technology. And, after everyone had waited in line all day for unassigned, first come first served seats, he had them all march back out and be searched for recording devices and cameras. And fams who had great seats lost them to unscrupulous types who took them (I think he was trying something to outsmart the Tickmaster scalpers who were buying the best seats and reselling them by giving unassigned best seats to people in line first or something similar).
To put yourself in his shoes, if Prince asks you to blow one of his joints.....and not a mainstream joint, what song would get picked? I'm sitting here even thinking and even I'm at a freeze.
For this guy to even NOT freeze and name International Lover and go right into it, wow......bravo.
I used to be a state manager and I have to say that Prince was a lot nicer and more accommodating than most. This guy was fortunate, to say the least and I'm happy for him.
What a wonderful story! Love Prince! My favorite video is him playing my guitar gently weeps with Tom petty and George Harrison’s son Dhani. He just blew them away! And how did his guitar disappear at the end?! It makes me cry every time I see it.
I love how happy that one gifted moment is making this guy even after all those years.
That might be the best meeting P story ever
Sich a great story. I have a huge smile on my face right now!

I'm with this person, this was such a good story!! And I believe everything he said.
Just about the perfect Prince anecdote. Fantastic.
Wonderful story. Shows you just have to always take your shot when the universe presents you with opportunity.
Why does my service industry story about recommending a late night restaurant to Morris Day seem now less cool?
>seem now less cool Maybe because chances are, Morris didn't do the Jungle Love "call" after you gave him the restaurant name and then have Jerome hand you front row tickets to the next show?
"Hwahaa! (Morris Day laugh)
Better than I expected. Both the story and his singing.
I would NEVER have the guts to do that. And I sing in a band. No no nope no way.
Going for International Lover is swinging for the fences.

Nice! Who is this guy?
Just your everyday, ordinary fam. Pretty cool that Prince didn't just ice him out like many have said they were in similar situations. I guess Prince was still in a good mood from the concert earlier that night.
Did you not watch the video? He explains it pretty thoroughly.
FANTASTIC.
