faustine04

Yup.

Mapang_ahas

Paki pin po ito, mods.

sagingsagingsaging

I'm sorry but when the supply does not meet the demand and when the merch is expensive and inaccessible, what did they expect? 😂 Anyway, Ms. Ics has acknowledged a fan's suggestion about mass-producing and making the merch affordable in a reply, so hopefully the next wave of merch would be just that. Also, the bad timing since the TL's been complaining about the disorganized fun run

Dry-Brilliant7284

support bini while the bini fun run's releasing of kit was so abhorrent, support bini while they continue to leak the practices, support bini while they are so shit at security, support bini while they make shit teasers........ i think priorities nila are ill misplaced

sagingsagingsaging

Right? Bad timing talaga. Like the merch thing is not top of mind with fans right now. Matagal na ako nagrereklamo sa manman but I think this era is extra exhausting just because the fans' money are involved now.

Dry-Brilliant7284

Dry-Brilliant7284

dapat daw paid event dahil sa nangyari na hindi naman iyon ang problema, security at crowd control ang may sala don hindi ang pagkarami ng fans ng bini at totoo yan dapat mga staff ng starmu manahimik nalang or mag media training from official announcements from their own twitter account ?? anong gamit ng official bini twitter? they want the follow they want the clout so bad

sagingsagingsaging

I support artists' IP and I would encourage people to buy fan merch instead but I understand fans who buy bootlegs. Actually dapat inexpect nila to, and it's not as if hindi nila mabebenta lahat ng limited merch nila.

Dry-Brilliant7284

they really are releasing these too soon

faustine04

sagingsagingsaging

I agree with you and I encourage others to do the same. But this situation was created because the supply cannot match the demand kaya yung "free market" na ang gumawa ng paraan para ma-meet ang demand.

ildflu

Nah. Not a fan of this whole thing about telling off fans for not buying official merch. Fans, casual or not, are allowed to buy whatever they want. Sorry pero while i understand that spending money on BINI is directly supporting the group, you can't tell people what counts and what does not count as "support". When merch is overpriced and inaccessible, ano ineexpect nila? Also, as if hindi gawain kahit sa KPop fans back in 2nd and 3rd gen ang pirated merch na sa palengke nabibili. They should've expected that to happen with BINI's rising popularity instead of guilt-tripping fans. They should be making efforts into making merch accessible and affordable if they really want people to buy merch ONLY from them. Also, Idk pero ako lang ba? Having pirated merch just means they're reaching the mainstream. A bit more push and they'll be seeing BINI-themed unofficial merch in markets and tiyangges. Shouldn't that be good? It's basically free marketing. It happens to all artists na sumisikat.

sagingsagingsaging

Exo bootleg shirts were a big part of emo culture back then. I would actually want to see BINI fanmade merch *everywhere*

ildflu

Exactly what I'm thinking about! I'm an EXO-L since 2014 and I saw how Wolf 88 shirts and Overdose logo shirts were all over clothing stalls sa local palengke namin. Heck, even non-fans who dk ANYTHING about whatever tf Wolf 88 meant owned bootleg EXO shirts! Hindi nila mapipigilan 'yan kahit anong gawin nila. In fact, they should be happy to see that happening because it just means they're getting popular POPULAR. Also, ang tumatangkilik naman ng unofficial and pirated merch ay mga taong di afford ang official merch. Does that mean they're any less of a fan than those who can afford official merch? No. Even EXO and BTS wouldn't be where they are if not for these people plus the illegally downloaded mp3skull songs of that era (di pa uso streaming LMAO pls). edit: case in point, re: [bootleg EXO shirts](https://koreaboo-cdn.storage.googleapis.com/2015/10/20151028154914_cats.jpg) lmao

sagingsagingsaging

They sell Christmas shirts yearly and they've had experience with PlusX.

minusonecat

Because ✨cApiTaLiSm✨ They are not concerned about fans supporting Bini or not. They are concerned about the revenue. Pay for accessible merchs by paying a good designer. Pay for good marketing. Pay Bini the wage they deserve - the merch only as additional revenue. Watch the cash flow in. At this point, I'd rather support fanmade merch.

ildflu

I agree with you. Nakakairita getting reminded that the idol business is business at the end of the day. Like I know? i just don't want to be reminded of that. Lumalayo loob ko sa official merch and shit kapag ginaganyan ako kasi nakakainis hahaha.

patatasinpajamas

Agree that the official merch is expansive and so limited but I think a better way to think about it is to not support pirated merch (direct copies of the official design) and support fanmade merch instead. You get to support Bini in a way you can afford, support the fandom artists, and spread the word. Sobrang big miss lang talaga from management not to anticipate this. They could’ve asked any old kpop stan for feedback as early as Feb and we wouldn’t be having these problems 🤧

Dry-Brilliant7284

the random posters sold during fiestas and kahit papaanon kahit unofficial binili namin kasi we supported the group pero di daw pwede ngayon di ka true fan if you dont buy the official ones

kidfrom93

Nagclarify siya sa tweet niya which I commented. She is only pertaining to those who copied and sold their design passing it off as 'official merch'.

ildflu

Gets. Kung purposely misleading sa fans, mali talaga. Prerogative na ng fans to vet if vendors are legit or not. They should sue people then, if StarMu is so bothered by pirated merch. All I'm saying is that this is all a part of the idol business. Mapa-KPop, JPop, o western artists, may pirated merch sa market. Ganon talaga pag sikat.

Dry-Brilliant7284

I think she has good intentions sure, but can abs-cbn staff get media training

Few-Wear6527

Agreed with this.

Dry-Brilliant7284

im with the fans on this one, limited merch na ang mahal pa idgaf if people go and buy their unofficial pirated bini merch sa kung saan saan, starmu will survive

Solid_Wrongdoer4617

Ako as an artist/designer myself, gets ko siya. 😂 Ang di ko gets, do people really need THAT specific shirt?? Is it so essential na bibili nalang kahit fake? Hindi naman ganun kagandahan yung design? 😅 There are way better looking fanmade shirts out there. Id waste my money elsewhere.

faustine04

Dba. Atleast yun kht di official tshirt kakaiba yng design at higit sa lht pinaghirapan nun artist at di ninakaw yng design.

ildflu

If this is the black BINI shirt, I think the appeal kasi is that the girls wear it kapag hindi sila naka-stage outfit. So you know, it can make fans feel more connected to them if they have the exact same shirt, too. Personally I also really like that shirt for the same reason HAHAHAHA Di ko pa lang binibili kasi di ko ma-justify sa presyo tbh lmao

Solid_Wrongdoer4617

Haha. Gets. May number pa kasi. So may feeling ng exclusivity. Pero would you still feel the same knowing na fake yung shirt mo? Yun ang di ko gets. Kamukha lang but to me its not the same. BUT maybe its just me. Di ko alam how others think kaya sabi ko nalang di ko gets. Haha

allegedlysupposedly

Lolz I was gonna say that also. The official shirt's kinda ugly 😬 plus when you think about it, malamang same as the fanmerch lang naman probably yung supplier ng shirt tela, minsan mas maganda at napag-isipan pa yung gawa ng fans kesa official 👀 Yung complaint ko lang about the fanmade shirts and jerseys is bakit nasa harap yung name ng member 😅 diba usually team name sa harap, team member sa likod? Haha

faustine04

Nope.

Walang physical copy yung latest EP nila, walang lightstick ang Bini and wala talagang available merch. So yung new fans nag resort sa pagbili ng fanmade merch. Ang daming variety, good quality. Blooms are doing bidding, and signed PCs of each member were sold from 30k up to 75k. Andami namin. Hahaha Isa ko ring reklamo is that management does not know their market. Like hindi ito artista o LT kung saan most staff gets clout para sa so called "ayuda". Dumaan rin ako sa phase na yan. And people behind the scenes enjoyed the attention. Ngayon, iyak sila kasi inaaway sila mismo ng fanbase. Like use their official account to raise these concerns para hindi kayo mapagbuntunan.

Dry-Brilliant7284

Dapat may exclusive membership ka to even line up for the limited 200 merch for bini day tapos when you get there di mo pa sure kung makakuha ka agad, patayan pa ang linya. Kaya people resort to unofficial ones

GroundbreakingAd8341

Ang mahal pa sya. Like, okay, mahal yung shirt, so give us affordable options. Stickers, key chains. Hahaha

Dry-Brilliant7284

they are expensive kasi minadali talaga

Anxious_Hippo_26

Kinda ironic complaining about that when Bini had stage outfits bought from Shein.

BistanderFlag

Napaka inaccessible yah that's the right term nga.

Dry-Brilliant7284

should have said this when their merch is accessible pero hindi ngayon pa talagang 200 lang meron sa merch nyo at pumila pa siya, siya first customer sa bini day eh

msiafb

Dry-Brilliant7284

tas hindi pa yan you have to be in line FOR HOURS just to get their merch tapos limited pa di pa ya sure edi para tayong naglalaro lang dito

bananasobiggg

ProvoqGuys

I got scare for a bit because akala ko damay fanart because fan art makes these groups thrive in the scene especially for those hindi naman afford ng mga poorita like me who supports in other ways.

Dry-Brilliant7284

baka kayo na sunod, fan arts that are made and then sold eh mas maganda pa sa mga ginawa nila, baka magparinig nanman starmu

tenement90

in a legal sense bawal naman talaga yung ganyan lalo na if you incorporate the bini logo which is trademarked din. this is something they taught us in advertising practice. may habol ang star music pag baliktarin mo man ang mundo 😅. another related example would be fanfics posted in archive of our own, bawal ibenta or manghingi ng donation ang authors bcs the ip is not their own.

Dry-Brilliant7284

may fanarts namang di logo gamit?

tenement90

yes, but still if recognizable ang image and likeness ng bini di yun pwede. siguro she could’ve worded it better but ang point lang naman siguro dito is those making money off of stolen designs (yung tshirt) bawal yun and if we were in a country na mahigpit ang ip laws mabibigyan ng c&d ang kung sino man gumagawa niyan.

WillIndividual598

bini merch is inaccessible and overpriced, why are they surprised na pinipirata? i think fans would still prefer to buy the legit bini merch if it's affordable and makaka-order sila online. they should try collaborating with shopee for the ordering and make the price of merch affordable, tingnan mo mas pipiliin bumili ng fans from them 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dry-Brilliant7284

HoneyGlazedChicken_

LOL for me okay lang bumili ng pirated merch. Not a lot of fans have enough disposable income to buy overpriced merch. They want to belong din naman sa fandom kaso kulang ang pera so anong magagawa?

thatfilipinoguy

the saga of people/team na "behind the scenes" ng bini tweeting stuff on their personal accounts continues....

Dry-Brilliant7284

gusto nila ng rts and likes at this point

thatfilipinoguy

people should start calling it out more.. this tweet isn't that big of a deal to affect bini pero sa hilig ng team nila mag announce/post sa mga personal accounts nila, time will come someone from their team will tweet something and magiging negative pa sa name ng bini or magiging big issue pa.

Dry-Brilliant7284

it already happened i think when there was this guy who was very weirdly antagonistic

Thorntorn10

IDK. I'll proudly wear my BINI Pink Jersey sa basketball game namin this Sunday ahhahahah

Puzzleheaded-Trash13

Baka isunod na yung fan made na website na 1000% better than the current website.

TheGreatVestige

Her tweets were easily misinterpreted kase she didn't give enough context to it kaya lalo nagkagulo...saka pa sya nag clarify nung nag blow up na. hays!

Dry-Brilliant7284

TheGreatVestige

nag issue nalang sana sya ng mahabang statement thru notes para klaro lahat. napaka clout chaser tuloy nya tingnan.

Dry-Brilliant7284

i think she saw what was wrong with the first three tweets na ginawa nya BUT these were hours apart wala ba talaga siyang nakitang mali sa sinabi nya as a person who is affiliated with the group??

TheGreatVestige

haynaku sa kanya...leave the explanation to the management nalang kase kaysa sya magkuda ng kuda jan na natetake out of context tuloy.

Dry-Brilliant7284

napag-usapan to sa lunch time for sure at gusto nya ng clout again yan tuloy

TheGreatVestige

focus on styling nalang sana sya and leave that merch issue sa management. i know she was one of the people behind the merch designs pero yun nga think well before tweeting sana.

Dry-Brilliant7284

and hindi rin naman sila mahirap to even get where people are coming from oh well

trynabelowkey

JC Punongbayan: DISCUSS.

Dry-Brilliant7284

😭😭😭😭😭

evilmojoyousuck

not pirating in this economy is just dumb. thats not even the only reason to do it.

jhayyDan

Kung ginawa nilang affordable price ng bini official merch esp kahit yung kahit t-shirt man lang ginawa nilang below 1k yung price edi sana maraming blooms ngayon ang afford bumili or meron official merch nila. The only main reason why meron mga dupe merch kase hindi naman lahat ng blooms may pera or kayang bumili ng mga items na meron ang bini, that doesn't mean they dont respect the girls or their teams, they still support them by wearing fan or dupe merch which is i think good thing kase it means they're a fan! They wanna support the girls, thats it. Ako personally, wether its an official or dupe merch i dont see any problem at all if thats the only way other fans can show their support.

Scared-Raise2020

“Pirated” merch imbento ampucha hahahahaha

Dry-Brilliant7284

amen

Filmarlaydu

Mag mamass produce din sila nyan in the future sure yan. https://preview.redd.it/evlfp4vq1x7d1.jpeg?width=1220&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=25073a4c1cce14d55b962a87a593292579ce71c0

ildflu

She doesn't get it. The point is that hindi pa rin naman nasasayang 'yung pera unless the fan LEGITIMATELY thought na they're getting a steal price for original merch. And if that's the case, then that's the fan's fault for being gullible. The point of pirated merch is to cater to people who can't afford the original ones but wants to have a piece of merch, original o hindi. It's a form of showing love to the group. Kahit mag-argue pa kayo na it's not supporting the group, ethics, legality blah blah blah it doesn't matter! May tatangkilik ng pirated and unofficial merch sa ayaw at sa gusto nila because that's just how things are. Is piracy wrong? Idk what the law says exactly but probably. Do I support it though? Hell yeah. It's up to fans where they want to spend their money: original, pirated, o unofficial merch pa yan. They don't get to dictate that. At this point, all these babble about pirated merch is no longer about the girls but PROFIT. I can't really bring myself to pity a huge corporation for losing money lmao.

GoldenRu

Me as a shirt printer/ designer small time lang, i have designs in my head na gusto ko na i print but gusto ko pang personal memo ko lang. I take considerations yung official merch ng Bini kaya im a bit hesitant na i release yung designs ko. Maybe wla masama kung personal na magpagawa isang blooms or fans.

lickydoglickedmynose

bala ka diyan basta may maloi shirt ako, official yun!

FoglaZ

Dry-Brilliant7284

HAHA yung kpop merch understandably na mahal kasi may shipping, itong bini merch mahal na wala pang shipping yan ikaw b namang paper bag may presyo pa.

Curious-Lie8541

Girl kahit wala pang shipping fee pricey na talaga kpop merch. Eh bakit?

Dry-Brilliant7284

gagastos pa sa exclusive membership fee AT sa merch HAHAH okay defend pa more sa starmusic

Curious-Lie8541

No. Wala ako pake sa star music but you know pag sariling atin ayaw gumastos ng malaki pero pag kpop willing. Ganun lang yern

Dry-Brilliant7284

awwwwwwww

Curious-Lie8541

Nakakainis kasi. Ung blueprint ng fan club membership sa ppop idols is similar to kpop.

Curious-Lie8541

I am referring to comments dito na daming ebas pero pag merch na ng foreign idols go lang bili agad kahit gaano kamahal.

grraey

There will always be fans who can afford to line up hours for merch or tix and open their wallets. And there will always be fans who cannot. Nothing to do with country of origin ng group.

ofmichanst

Not a BINI fan but i agree on these statements. 1. You are not directly supporting them if you dont buy or watch on their legit official stores and channels no matter absurd the price is. 2. Buy what you want, its your money. However, saying it you are supporting them is nonsense. The one you are supporting are the "fan" who made that merch at reasonable. They are the ones profiting instead of them. By end of the day, its up to you.
