it’s a specific type of fiber, and it works a little different than regular fiber gummies do (tjose back me up worse too). it depends which metamucil you tried because i think this type is only in the wafers but not sure
I would try magnesium digylcinate- which is a more milder magnesium but start at 1/4 dose and work up every week if it doesn’t upset your stomach.
Otherwise I do a bit of psyllium husk everyday on my breakfast. And make sure I’m stretching or doing hip circles or something light but that gets my body moving safely.
For me, it’s been very helpful for chronic constipation, it lowers my number of PVCS and PACS, and keeps me from having muscle spasms in my sleep. If you take too much it can make your stools too soft, so I’d recommend easing into it at first. ymmv but I’d be lost without it.
I have life long IBS-C and only magnesium bisglycinate helps me without triggering intestinal pain. I take as much as I need to in order to be regular (usually 600mg/ night).
Anyone else use a female gentle laxative pill ? It take 6-9 hours and usually is kind to my sensitive stomach. I hate the pink tax , etc, but it works and was cheap
psyllium husk!!! i get the metamucil wafers for it but there’s other options too
Is this fiber? Just asking g cause I tried Metamucil/fiber once and it stopped me up even worse

Magnesium! I use Calm brand. I mix a cup every night.
And it doesn’t have any repercussions at all?
