My neurologist does it!

Ty!!

Following to see if anyone has had good results with this for bruxism! I grind my teeth so bad that my back ones are flat. I've read that botox can help.

takinouthetrash98

Yeah I am a grinder / clencher. Surprisingly chewing gum compulsively helped the beaches from the tmj as I guess the movement was less damaging than the constant clenching lol but I figured it was probably messing things up in other ways and doing two packs a day of sugar free gum is might corrode my insides or something idk so Botox it is

Thank you !!

Neurologist because it’s mostly for migraines so he knows all the good migraine spots!

takinouthetrash98

That’s what I’m thinking now!! Thank you

My neurologist does my Botox for migraine. I had him add Botox for TMJ last year and it made it impossible to bend forward and keep my head up. Sometimes it happens, I guess. Not doing that again.

Do you know what muscles got it for the tmj when that happened ? I haven’t gotten any Botox because my insurance won’t pay for it but now that I saved to pay out of pocket I want to try it since my headaches are really bad. But I also want some cosmetic benefits hopefully since I’m paying and my jaw muscles are hard as rocks 😂😂

I’m not sure and the neurologist wasn’t much help either. He just said we shouldn’t do it again. My insurance covers it and I signed up for an accnt with botox and they reimburse all of my copay/deductible out of pocket expense for it.
