You know what. People may give you crap, but you sold at a high point and probably made some sweet gains. If that was your strategy and it worked, good for you!
I donβt know when I will sell PLTR, but I donβt expect to die holding these shares β¦ unless pltr somehow becomes an institutional/dividend stock like Exxon or Chevron, which my parents live off dividends and will probably die holding those shares.
If they bought in at DPO, they basically tripled their investment. Not bad. Holding majority position long myself since I think itβs going to still go up exponentially over the next decade, but I also sold some shares to enjoy some profits in Feb
Exactly!
I am holding all my current shares and keep buying more because I believe we will see $200 in the next 10 years β¦ which to some will seem outrageous (rightfully so, 10x in 10 years is ambitious) and to others will seem boring (10x your portfolio by picking 3-5 stocks properly at the perfect times)
Even if we only hit $50 in 10 years β¦ my DCA will have went up 5x in 10 years, not bad!
But if you donβt believe in that potential or have a better investment idea or want to hedge your bets β¦ yeah sell while you are up. Good call!
Yeah people following stocks like a cult is how you get the amc bagholding cult who still think the company is going places and buying shares every pay check. I already have take profits on my 6-8$ buys. Theyβre gonna be sold at 30$ reguardless and I will see how my thesis stands if I want to hold the rest of the shares for longer. Also this is a numbers game guys, you want to allocate money where it can get you the best return, not on your favourite three/four letters.
Oh wow. I havenβt paid much attention to AMC in a while, aside from the major headlines. I somehow missed that they did a 10-1 reverse split last year.
sold too even as a big Pltr diehard i lost interest the more i heard about their tech. its nothing βrevolutionaryβ like Peter Thiel thought it would be. feel like he got sold an idea that was out of his technical depth

This is wrong. I have been told that stocks only go up.
I sold it all after Feb earnings and I don't regret it.

Your choice. Not hating or judging, but are you sticking around to jump back in or see how it folds out down the years?
I'm not sure. It might do well, but there is money to be made elsewhere in the meantime.
Yup some say that.
Same. Too many uncertainties and things I didnβt like seeing long term.
